Dude, that is not a reproduction. That is an actual P225. From your serial number, it is part of the last batch made in 2009 that came standard with night sights. The "Exeter" mark is the importers (SIG USA) mark. These are all German guns. Lots of them around. While a really nice handgun, they are not really collector pieces.... yet. They made way too many of them to be real collector items, though they are in demand.
You're missing out, shoot the thing, they are a joy to shoot.
As indicated before the whole gun is made in Germany. This is confirmed by the 'Made in Germany' stamps on the slide and frame and the german proofmarks as well. 'Sig Exeter' is just stamped on the gun to indicate who imported the gun in the US.
I bought my P 225 way back in Oct. of 1988. I still own it to this day. It fires just liek it did back in the 80's. The factory target was a 25m scratched out and a 15 written in. I still have the orignal green box and all paper work that came with it. Great pistol. Get one you can shoot and enjoy.
@TheChamberofFarts I purchased this gun as a collectable, but for shooting and carry I would recommend the P229. Price was about eight at the time of purchase. Thanks for watching.
Sigs all used to come with a target fired at by the pistol in the box. Not sure if they still do. Walthers were the same way at one time I believe. Those Germans!
@SmokeRingsPipeDreams I just got a P225 (today). There is a target included (five shots--I believe--at 15m). There is no shell casing though, but that might not be something Sig does. My Smiths all have a enveloped shell casing included).
@GUNeRAG i know there is but im trying to find the money with my name on it to go buy it...lol...one day i'll own one...either a sig is next or a 1911...

@GUNeRAG The last 3 numbers on my sig 225 is 656, so i don't know about the serial number being the actual number gun it was.

Nice. I wish the P239 had this gun's trigger guard. The P225 looks a little bigger than the P239; is it?

This whole pistol was made in Germany, but US law requires that the importer puts their stamp on it as well. Great video!

Im not 100% sure but i think sig is assembled in exeter nh, the facility is only about 30 min from me, really nice pistol

@TheMatt1911 My P239 only has the Exeter, NH stamp on the frame. Makes me wonder if some models are more German and others are more American?

@GUNeRAG hmmm, i googled it, the exeter plant has jobs everywhere from machinists, to cusotmer service to distrubution, so who knows???
