@nykia31 I have not played 2K12 but from the videos I've seen it looks like it has a lot of CPU issues. The sim standard group seems very biased toward pro-2K and anti-EA. They need to evaluate all games and hold them to whatever the "sim standard" is.
@OCPIOS16 I think the obvious thing that you missed about TSS not pointing out NBA2k flaws (which they did) is that 2K did absolutely not buy the license to make NBA games. EA simply failed in that department which made it clear that no matter if NBA2K got better each year or not there was and is no company out there with anything remotely better to offer. The same happened with NHL in EAs favor. They don't point out flaws in NHL do they?

@OCPIOS16 I would suggest you ask them LOL. I'm a bit disappointed by their lack of critique of the many, many problems that are in NBA2K12. There are a LOT of people- 2K diehards, who do not like that game at all, and many are still playing, or have gone back to NBA2K11.
As far as controls go the games should let you play how you want to play. There should be hundreds of possible control schemes and there is no reason to get rid of things like QB vision cones and play-maker control. Simply allow ppl to turn them off when they want. But these company's already know this and that is why they take out good things and add bad things and vice versa each year to make the game seem worth buying. 2K, EA, and every one else do the same because you let them.
The only real reasons to make a new version of a sports game would be things like New rules, New engines,...Well that's pretty much it. All the animations from sideline catches to end-zone celebrations should be in the game already (if it happens in football it should happen in the game) unless the engine can't handle it then you put all you can in and when a new engine is built you make another game.
IMO Sports games in general are a huge scam. When you think about it a new sports game should really only be released every couple of years. Reason being that not much changes about sports from a year to year basis other than rosters and that is not worth 60$ when you can get those online or do it yourself for free. Every innovative thing they put in sports games nowadays is something they should have already done. New jerseys, stadiums, logos, as well as graphics can be patched in or made DLC
@YaBoiEpidimic Overall I would have to say 2K5 simply because it has better graphics and franchise mode which gives it replay value with update able rosters. However I personally play very rarely and prefer the moments that occur in All Pro 2K8. Things like botched snaps, the punter picking up the ball and punting it or a QB catching his own pass and alot more catch anims.

I would just like to apologize to all of you, because I bought Madden twice. Once on 360, than I sold it. And I bought it for ps3 so I could play my cousin, bc I just got a ps3. The game sucks, but its fun to play online against your friends. What can I say, I love the Nfl.

The problem with this channel, is that people over glorify what APF2K8 is, and with the exception of a couple of people, the commentators are incapable of having a objective discussion about the game. They claim on one hand that APF2K8 is the superior game, yet when someone points out its glaring problems, that dont occur in Madden, they dismiss or ignore it.

Sure, it had great presentation, but when Madden 05 came out a month later, I felt like the gameplay was better and never looked back. .I have much more experience with APF2K8, and yes, I feel like like Madden/NCAA are both better..do I still play it still? Sure, I still have fun thinking up team combos, online..there's nothing wrong with that.

I was one of the more active people on the 2k forums (NYKNICKS33) I will, though, point out when I feel like someone from this channel is wrong about what they are saying about the game. Too many people here just accept what is said, as gospel. The football is a hell of a lot deeper then it is given credit for.

@debo51ful I'm actually uploading a game of APF that I played recently. Honestly, when I go back to playing NCAA/Madden, I'm always completely out of rhythm for a couple of games. To me, It's not even close as to which game is more advanced, overall when it comes to A.I...which for me, is the most important aspect of the game: Schemes/Plays being able to work the way they are designed. I'll get into this more later, as I'll run out of characters to type what Im talking about.

after spending months with madden. playing very often. being very excited for this year's release, backing the madden team up occasionally. i have concluded: this is a terrible, no no no, turrble sports game. it amazes me, honestly how half-ass'd, how much lacking of detail, just awful this game is. there are so many problems. players literally go through players for INT's, so many, SO MANY inconsistencies, its appalling and a damn shame. but i'll probably buy it next year. #theygotme

For me Madden is competing not with other football games but with other video games for my wallet. I am fine with my MW3, Gearz of War and NBA 2k12. I'm a fan of EA's NHL series but that game just update roster like Madden. I also like Fight Night but they want to take out fighters to get people to pay for downloads so they take a back seat too.

Ive played the sport, Ive coached it, I know my stuff, and I succeed at this game playing 100% clean vs all kinds of online nonsense. You know this is true, youve seen my vids. I agree on it all but Madden this year is fun as hell if you playing against another player playing a sim style game. i agree. with madden people keep saying that they do not make enough changes to it. but i think is you have a pretty good game and every 12 months you have to make changes to it. with the shooting games and the battlefield games as long as you have a gun you think your fine. there is no difference in black ops and mw3 in my opinion. people do not notice that. bu they keep critisizing madden for not making the game better. but not any other games. madden is under too much pressure.

I always appreciate vids from simstandard, and I agree with 2K5 being the best sim game out there... but calling Madden almost an arcade-ish game (when you say it isn't a simulation game) is ridiculous and undermines Madden's biggest leap forward in a long time.
@Chargerdude95 Not at all Fam, listen to my other videos. I have been one of the main people supporting the improvements that M12 made this year, but the game is not there yet. All they have to do is focus on the minor details in multiple areas. Although some won't agree with me I think M12 is a HUGH Step in the right direction over prior years.

i was pumped about madden 12 it took the correct step's to get moving forward,but i just took my madden game back 2 month's ago because i cant put the ball in tight window's,i cant throw rainbow's over linbacker's,the AI is off and dosent challenge me enough,i dont have complete controll of my defender's,the camra veiw setting isnt correct,

Stop the morphing. Warping still occurs. The middle linebackers changing direction and jumping up like like an NBA all-star to swat passes. There is no way to control passes over the middle. It's either a bullet that gets swatted. Or a lob that comes down to one receiver and 6 to 8 defenders. Am I the only one who notices at least 5 defenders around the receiver every deep pass? How does a defender with his back to the ball know the it's being thrown to the other side of the field? Baffling.

@nykia31 I have not played 2K12 but from the videos I've seen it looks like it has a lot of CPU issues. The sim standard group seems very biased toward pro-2K and anti-EA. They need to evaluate all games and hold them to whatever the "sim standard" is.

@OCPIOS16 I think the obvious thing that you missed about TSS not pointing out NBA2k flaws (which they did) is that 2K did absolutely not buy the license to make NBA games. EA simply failed in that department which made it clear that no matter if NBA2K got better each year or not there was and is no company out there with anything remotely better to offer. The same happened with NHL in EAs favor. They don't point out flaws in NHL do they?

@OCPIOS16 I would suggest you ask them LOL. I'm a bit disappointed by their lack of critique of the many, many problems that are in NBA2K12. There are a LOT of people- 2K diehards, who do not like that game at all, and many are still playing, or have gone back to NBA2K11.

As far as controls go the games should let you play how you want to play. There should be hundreds of possible control schemes and there is no reason to get rid of things like QB vision cones and play-maker control. Simply allow ppl to turn them off when they want. But these company's already know this and that is why they take out good things and add bad things and vice versa each year to make the game seem worth buying. 2K, EA, and every one else do the same because you let them.

The only real reasons to make a new version of a sports game would be things like New rules, New engines,...Well that's pretty much it. All the animations from sideline catches to end-zone celebrations should be in the game already (if it happens in football it should happen in the game) unless the engine can't handle it then you put all you can in and when a new engine is built you make another game.

IMO Sports games in general are a huge scam. When you think about it a new sports game should really only be released every couple of years. Reason being that not much changes about sports from a year to year basis other than rosters and that is not worth 60$ when you can get those online or do it yourself for free. Every innovative thing they put in sports games nowadays is something they should have already done. New jerseys, stadiums, logos, as well as graphics can be patched in or made DLC

@YaBoiEpidimic Overall I would have to say 2K5 simply because it has better graphics and franchise mode which gives it replay value with update able rosters. However I personally play very rarely and prefer the moments that occur in All Pro 2K8. Things like botched snaps, the punter picking up the ball and punting it or a QB catching his own pass and alot more catch anims.

@debo51ful My point exactly. I can admit that I can have fun playing Madden when it is user vs user and we are playing a simulation style, but this game is not where it should be. That should be easy for anyone to see. I will say this, Madden is close, all they have to do is focus on the minor details, Replicate the game of football. If they do that the game would be great. MLB the Show replicates baseball, I want to see a football game on that level.

For me....just use the player movements...ball physics...game modes from madden 06...and the graphics from next gen and they'll have a great game...and why do we have to literally buy madden cards now...they used to be free on prev. The problem with this channel, is that people over glorify what APF2K8 is, and with the exception of a couple of people, the commentators are incapable of having a objective discussion about the game. Sure, it had great presentation, but when Madden 05 came out a month later, I felt like the gameplay was better and never looked back. .I have much more experience with APF2K8, and yes, I feel like like Madden/NCAA are both better..do I still play it still? Sure, I still have fun thinking up team combos, online..there's nothing wrong with that.

I was one of the more active people on the 2k forums (NYKNICKS33) I will, though, point out when I feel like someone from this channel is wrong about what they are saying about the game. Too many people here just accept what is said, as gospel. The football is a hell of a lot deeper then it is given credit for.

@nykia31 these standards held for madden are not high anymore..with 06 and 07 maybe so,,in 2008 when all pro came out i realized that the standards werent really as high because of some things allpro had going on..09 nope,,10 made better strides toward these standards but not quite..11 atrocious..12 the best madden on next gen but not that dominating force of nature it should be,,killing in most, if not all of the football gaming aspects compared with every footbal game made prior ..

@debo51ful I'm actually uploading a game of APF that I played recently. Honestly, when I go back to playing NCAA/Madden, I'm always completely out of rhythm for a couple of games. To me, It's not even close as to which game is more advanced, overall when it comes to A.I...which for me, is the most important aspect of the game: Schemes/Plays being able to work the way they are designed. I'll get into this more later, as I'll run out of characters to type what Im talking about.

@nykia31 and in this frustration comes these type of videos..doesnt have to be allpro or 2k5,,ive seen some vids about pre gen maddens that showed things that they took away,,or nfl fever..ncaa had things that could make madden play much better...maybe even tecmo bowl for nintendo,.all in all madden 12, when compared to these games should crush them in almost every aspect rgaurdless of who wants what in the gm from interactive sidelines to a deeper franchise with owner mode to gameplay

after spending months with madden. playing very often. being very excited for this year's release, backing the madden team up occasionally. i have concluded: this is a terrible, no no no, turrble sports game. it amazes me, honestly how half-ass'd, how much lacking of detail, just awful this game is. there are so many problems. players literally go through players for INT's, so many, SO MANY inconsistencies, its appalling and a damn shame. but i'll probably buy it next year. #theygotme

@CardinalJiles I can't call me not buying Madden a boycott because it's trash so I am not missing anything. For me Madden is competing not with other football games but with other video games for my wallet. I am fine with my MW3, Gearz of War and NBA 2k12. I'm a fan of EA's NHL series but that game just update roster like Madden. I also like Fight Night but they want to take out fighters to get people to pay for downloads so they take a back seat too.

SimF, let me pose this question to you. The new phrase you guys are rolling with now is that Madden/NCAA is a "casual game." Well, how do you explain someone like me? Ive played the sport, Ive coached it, I know my stuff, and I succeed at this game playing 100% clean vs all kinds of online nonsense. You know this is true, youve seen my vids. Hell, im in some variation of Cover 2/3, the vast majority of the game.
If Madden is so casual..I should get killed playing this way, but I dont. Why?

SO let me get this straight this whole gen of Madden football was just a big trow away in a decade we got what 1 maybe 2 decent maddens.EA just said what another 2-4 years for a good madden when we pay the next consoles that BS.There 2 best mode Franchise and Superstar are boring and stale.2k only had there My Player for 3 years and it blows Superstar mode out of the water.Im not trying to sound like a hater but EA is just frustrating.

I agree on it all but Madden this year is fun as hell if you playing against another player playing a sim style game. When i lose to somebody who just flat out played better football than me it makes the game feel better. The bs still happens but it's a game at the end of the day. I think online gamimg has ruined the simulation sports game as a whole. 2K is not even the same anymore since online has come in to play. Think about APF 2k8. If 2K was still making football games it would be more cas

i agree. with madden people keep saying that they do not make enough changes to it. but i think is you have a pretty good game and every 12 months you have to make changes to it. with the shooting games and the battlefield games as long as you have a gun you think your fine. there is no difference in black ops and mw3 in my opinion. people do not notice that. bu they keep critisizing madden for not making the game better. but not any other games. madden is under too much pressure.

I always appreciate vids from simstandard, and I agree with 2K5 being the best sim game out there... but calling Madden almost an arcade-ish game (when you say it isn't a simulation game) is ridiculous and undermines Madden's biggest leap forward in a long time.

@Chargerdude95 Not at all Fam, listen to my other videos. I have been one of the main people supporting the improvements that M12 made this year, but the game is not there yet. All they have to do is focus on the minor details in multiple areas. Although some won't agree with me I think M12 is a HUGH Step in the right direction over prior years.

i was pumped about madden 12 it took the correct step's to get moving forward,but i just took my madden game back 2 month's ago because i cant put the ball in tight window's,i cant throw rainbow's over linbacker's,the AI is off and dosent challenge me enough,i dont have complete controll of my defender's,the camra veiw setting isnt correct,
just bunch of little thing's ea need's to work on.
looking forward to madden 13 hopefully madden return's to greatness soon.

Stop the morphing. Warping still occurs. The middle linebackers changing direction and jumping up like like an NBA all-star to swat passes. There is no way to control passes over the middle. It's either a bullet that gets swatted. Or a lob that comes down to one receiver and 6 to 8 defenders. Am I the only one who notices at least 5 defenders around the receiver every deep pass? How does a defender with his back to the ball know the it's being thrown to the other side of the field? Baffling.
