What I mean is that it was a smash hit, but that it's a slick entertainment which trades unsubtly on the glamor of its cast, which is at odds with the real-life outlaws they were playing. It's not a "bad" movie per se, but it's divorced from reality in a rather obvious and ham-fisted way. I might also mention that I enjoy this bicycle scene and the hit song, while realizing that the whole thing is pure Hollywood dream-making. Phony but fun might say it.

Stumbled upon this lovely clip (never seen movie) while :) Looking for another movie with this song (Cowboy movie with either Marlon Brando, Steve McQueen since the movie had the above song Raindrops keep fallin on my head in instrumental, where one of the famous actor who played the lead role...& he was from a small Texas southern town who plays the guitar..Looking for that movie..I found this.
