response to Cheekie who thinks "all bikers are assholes & think the road belongs to them" that sounds more like car drivers who move along the roads on there cells and don't signal because they are in their expensive SUV ect. I think 10/90 biker at fault. I am a biker and move through the lanes quickly so I don't get hit by somebody not paying attention. But I also look before I move, don't stop in front of cars, don't wear flip-flops, shorts, & a button up while riding- pay attention next time!
Serves the biker right for thinking he could cut off the car and out run him. I hope he got seriously hurt and lost his motorcycle. Too bad he didn't die, he would have deserved it. Bikers are asshole punks who think traffic laws don't apply to them.
Guy on the scooter breaks because car driver decides he better informs his fellow roadgoer of his wrongdoings by sounding his horn.
Both are at fault. Scooter goes too slow in the fast lane, car goes too fast in the slow lane. One has the reaction of a sloth, the other rides a scooter in fliplops and t-shirt on a highway. In other curcumstances this would be a match made in heaven.
rider's fault. As a rider, I was expecting another over the handlebars accident but I don't think I've seen one fairly tossed over the back before. This was quite comical. When I got out of the car, I think I would have recommended being a slapstick comedian to this dumbshit.
I agree with plastercast on this one the driver was not speeding as this appears to be a busy highway the motorcyclist was at fault for not looking plain and simple because a car cannot stop in 2 feet
@acrosby1981 Wrong. Im a biker and usually the first one to pin the blame on car drivers, regardless of how reckless Ive been riding - this is the biker's fault. Didn't check mirrors before pulling out.
As a biker myself this om sad to saynwas the bikers fault. Car did nothibg wrong... If the car was doing 150mph in his lane its still down to the motorist/motorcyclist to check before changing lane. Looks like no injiries which is good
it was BOTH thier faults. You can hear the guy in the car racing his engine and you can see him passing every other vehicle, He was going too fast for the situation and rear ended someone.
The guy on the scooter should have been watching closer before he changed lanes but should have also kept his speed up. Why did he slow down so much? was he reacting to the other morons horn??
And YES, his choice of cloths for riding on scooter is STUPID!!
Perfect reason why you should not be stupid enough to wear flip flops and shorts on any 2 wheel machine. People never cease to amaze me. From scooter riders to Dyna bikers... wearing flip flops, and shorts. Just stupid stupid stupid!
I've been riding for years, and in the summer I wear whatever I like; usually trainers, jeans (or shorts) and a T-shirt. I've never had a single crash except for when I was in full leathers and riding hard.
If the douche on the scoot had been aware of his surroundings his clothing would never have been an issue. All the leather and body armour in the world won't save you from yourself if you ride like a prick.

So, who was found guilty at the end ? And why did he move his motorcycle from the road, at least he could wait for the police and then do that.

The most embarrassing part about the international scooter uniform is having to go find your flip flops after you crash.
