Lao Tizer, Chieli Minucci & Karen Briggs

This band is one of the best jazz bands to come around in years. Lao is amazing as is Karren Briggs.

This sax player is good here but Tizer shines with Steve Nieves on sax, added percussion & vocals!

Saw them at the Pasadena Jazz Fest in Southern California. Althought Chieli wasn't there that day, Karen Briggs was the featured guest and she rocked. They closed with Uptown and they brought the house down. Great show.

Just saw this group in Jacksonville, FL for their FREE jazz festival downtown at the Jacksonville Landing. Karen Briggs, as usual, rocked the place. I was not familiar with Lao Tizer, but he's a great jazz keyboard player and his band is outstanding!!!

I think she is still with Hidden Beach Records.

She does alot of instrumentals for the "Unwrapped" series.
