Did you just watch the critique that "Rotten Tomatoes" did on this film, paraphrase it, and post it as your own original interpretation? It sure seems like it.
Your commentary mirrors the "Rotten Tomatoes" commentary so closely that it seems hard to believe the two reviews evolved independently of one another. So, tell me if "Rotten Tomatoes" influenced your opinion in any way. Be honest.
@domco2525 Nope, not at all. I actually watched the movie, wrote out my impressions of it, and made this video all on my own. How exactly does my video "mirror" the Rotten Tomatoes one?
Maybe I'm wrong - maybe it's just a massive coincidence that all of your critical ideas, and even your phrasing are almost identical to the other review. Kind of like the massive coincidence that happens during your "Red Dawn" review. You know the one, right? It's when you borrow that bit from "The Simpsons" and quote Kent Brockman almost verbatim. Sure, you're at liberty to borrow a few things here and there, but it's not entertaining to see the same stuff recycled ad nauseam.
@domco2525 Ok, I just watched the RT vid in question to see what you are talking about. They mentioned it being boring, they mentioned the actors doing a bad job... and that's about it that is remotely similar to mine. You still haven't pointed out any specifics here so that is the best I can do to address your claim.
Oh, and the Simpsons thing in the Red Dawn review was a joke. I make several references to movies and shows I like in other reviews too. I do it in real life quite often, too.
@domco2525 So I used one word someone else used in their review? That is the most glaring example? She was creepy! It's an apt description. The indie movie cliche thing is a critique of the script. The 'quirky' criticism was based on the Netflix description of the movie and how it is labeled there, as I address in my review.
Your argument is pretty tenuous. Other than when I quote things for humorous purposes, my reviews are written by me, based on my own thoughts and feelings on the movie.
Hey dude, it's your channel. You can say whatever you want. It's just strange to me that your opinion so closely reflect the opinions depicted in another review. Which brings me to my next point: redundancy. If your humor revolves around rehashing old material from other writers, and your thoughts and opinions are just like every other critics', then what's the point?
I'm not trying to be a ball buster - just critiquing the critic.
@thajaxman I liked this film. I liked it didn't fit into any one genre.
Las Vegas is a place that gives you tremendous personal freedom, and ironically, that same freedom can imprison you if you're not careful. I liked how the film explored that idea. Addictions and desperation reduce people to caricatures, and I loved how this film portrayed these lost souls. U never got close enough to really learn their stories - u just caught glimpses of them, like ghosts wandering through the night.
There are a lot of complexities in this film that nobody seems to notice. Yeah, the pacing is a little slow, but come on. You're telling me all these film buffs can't muster a little bit of patience for a measly hour and a half? I mean, these are the same a-holes who rave about "Koyaanisqatsi" which is almost the same exact running time. And I know damn well more than half of those a-holes have no clue what that shit is about.
is it weird that i really enjoyed this movie?

You describe Sarah Silverman as being "creepy." Denna Adar also chose the exact same word to describe her.
You say, "It's like the screenwriter threw every independent movie cliche into the script. . ."
Alonso Duralde says, "IT feels like every Sundance Film Festival movie you've ever seen."
You say, "If you have to label your movie as 'quirky,' chances are it's not."
Tomika Jones said, "The quirks felt contrived."
I'm almost out of characters. Do u want me to give more examples?

@domco2525 Well, it was a bad movie!!! Is it really so strange that a lot of critics agree on that?
Would you like me to list out the parts of my review that weren't covered in the RT one, so that I can prove my originality?
But no, that would be too redundant.
Thanks for the critique, dude. Feel free to watch my other videos and point any other rehashes you might find.

Why is it that you feel like you can berate writers, directors, and actors, but you are beyond reproach?

@domco2525 I never said I was beyond reproach. Now you're just making things up.

yeah, I have watched your other reviews and it's all the same shit all the other critics already said months or years before you said it.

@domco2525 Haha! Well thanks for watching, anyway. I'll try to be more original next time.
