  • Holy fuck.... fuck being a nature photographer. I have a feeling the Hippo just want the dying calf away from it's pool though, or it will just attract all the crocs to her birth pool, and they will eat her young.

  • Tem hora que os animais tem atitude de um ser humano.

  • yoo this touched my heart just by seen help comming when there is no hope

  • Gay,, that Impala was all mangled from the croc,, that doesn't last another 2 minutes in the wild. So these gay ass humanitarian freaks thinks that animals should not eat animals ?

  • @Garvarino No it was just tired, you know your just being a dumbass ignorant hateful asshole. Go jump in front of a train if you want to promote hate, at least hate yourself enough to do that, if you are so insignificant that you feel that you have to bring the world down in your pathetic incompetence

  • @blink182volcom No it wasn't just tired, and he wasn't promoting hate. Hate towards Nature is what Walt Disney promoted and others of his ilk because these so called animals lovers want to improve Nature. Wasn't good enough for Disney so he wanted the lion and the lamb to be buddies, which was a lie. Far better is to love Nature as she is and Nature's greatest invention is death.

  • @blink182volcom in the full length video its actually dead, you see the hippo trying to move it but its just limp, the hippo walks off and crocodile comes back, its kinda sad

  • @blink182volcom Don't be a fucking retard, do you seriously think that a crocodile eating a natural part of its diet is "hate"!? What do you expect a crocodile to live off of dried up grass?

  • @blink182volcom that my friend was a run-on sentence, please correct your spelling young man

  • Props to using Storm - Godspeed You! Black Emperor

  • I think that this is easily the best thing I saw in my entire life

  • "...hippo attacking crocodile" Liar. This video contains no such event. Why not try and be accurate with your video titles?

  • lionesses are so cool, so independant, they fight, they hunt and get their own food...female humans are so fckin retarded.

  • WoooooW

  • damn hippo u scary

  • Holy shit,...how many videos have you spliced together. I have seen at least 4

  • @my02warrior is only two

  • @my02warrior 4 is indeed a large number

  • @my02warrior 2*

  • first the hippo wrestled the gazelle to the ground then he probally had his way with it

  • The hippo didnt eat it but left the impala alone after it died then the croc ate it!

  • This has nothing to do with courage - it's purely instinct.

  • anyone else think the hippo was eating the gazelle at the end

  • @mt352509

    Hippos are also flesh-eaters ;)

  • gazelle would of died anyway , hippo probability ate it

  • @14kip Hippos are vegetarian, they don't eat meat. He was trying to give mouth to mouth resuscitation to the gazelle.

  • @HaydeeF1 they DO eat meat

  • why do i find this so moving?

  • @TheG33KINATORS the music

  • did the fawn die

  • gay captions gay music

  • @TurkiyeCumhurbaskani what music would u put fag

  • @ricefarmer yakety sax would be the choice cocksucker

  • So touching <3

  • A vegan saves another vegan, fascinating!. Viva fellow vegans!

  • @007dredger shoooo ... shoo... go away vegan!!!

  • WOW

  • The moment you realize it's Godspped You Black Fucking Emperor! playing in the background

  • Look the video up with the actual narration... croc attacked deer or whatever and hippo chased off croc....

  • Watch this video on Youtube, all those who do not know about Hippo. They are dangerous animals.

"HIPPO FIGHT WITH LION TO EAT BUFF MEAT "

  • fellas the hippo does eat meat not all the time but once in a while they do,and from what i see here i did not see a croc so i think the hippo was tryin to eat the deer.

  • @wilsagastizado nah, the hippo saved the deer from that croc, that was trying to kill the deer.

  • hippo was just trying to eat baby impala.....

  • @tornadocommander your so stupid, hippos are herbivores, meaning they don't eat meat. the hippo was trying to pick the impala up dumbass.

  • @tcxrob1 hippos eat meat rtard

  • @Bananayoghurt1000 Hippos didn't eat meat. Their digestive tract can't take it. Sometimes you see them eat Carrion - to puke out. But to be true, I didn't know, what the Hippo do there - it definently didn't save the other animal.

  • @redhairgermany i dunno y this video is showed like this, i think this is two different videos of different hippos in the video, probably to make it looks like a happy ending that the baby deer or what ever it is got saved.

i saw the real video, the deer was attacked by a crocodile in which the hippo came bursting into the rescue, chasing off the crocodile and dragging the baby deer back to shore, unfortunately it didn't survive though.

  • @Layiloe True, it didn't survive and the croc had it back...the video is on youtube itself

  • @tcxrob1 , are you going to say that chimpanzees also only eat plants? They eat monkeys alive as an important source of protein. Google HIPPO's diet. They are mainly herbivores, but also do eat meat. Hippo can cut humans apart.

Dude, seriously, you should fix your poor micro brain.

  • i've seen that clip b4,...The hippo rescued the impala from croc jaws.. Impala walks a few yards and then collapses , then hippo takes the Impala's head in its mouth and shakes it in orders to revive it but in vain,..the impala dies , hippo leaves and croc comes and feasts on impala ,,,O_O

  • @MrKasperabhay Hippo's are known to eat meat on occasion, so it's like the Hippo killed the impala for that purpose but stood down to the crocodiles.

  • @jjrudki O_O ..they showed this video on CAUGHT IN ACT on nat geo.. the Impala died of the inflicted wound by Croc...and the hippo just tried to revive it -__-

  • @MrKasperabhay Then why is the clip at 1:22 played in reverse? On top of that, in the actual documentary, they skip the part from the Hippo taking the Impala in its mouth to the Hippo returning to the lake.

    Something to hide.

  • @jjrudki LISTEN KID ...I have watched this whole video on NAT GEO and u still wanna argue ...ok no problemmm... watch this.. /watch?v=QbskV44lZfc

infact type hippo saves impala in youtube serchbox and hit enter ..ull find the videos..

  • @MrKasperabhay 21 year old... generally not counted as a kid.

Plus I'm less blind to an obvious stunt by national geographic to get views. I've already seen the video you linked to me and it still has the reversed scene and skips the Impala's actual death.

    You're gullible, congratulations.

  • @jjrudki Great ..then upload it so that not only me but the but the whole world can see the truth and I'll sue NAT GEO for misleading people and telecasting fake and edited television programs...-___-

  • @MrKasperabhay How can I upload a video that National Geographic own? Are you even able to comprehend what I'm saying?

They took the original clip of the Hippo killing the Impala, they cut out the part where the Hippo kills the Impala and reverse the scene where the Hippo grabs the Impala's head, so it looks like the Hippo is letting go of it.

    It's that simple.

  • @jjrudki -__- where did you see that video -__- ...i searched it all over internet ..i didn't find it ..not only the video i searched for ..but also tried to find that whether this video was a publicity stunt by NAT GEO or not...i couldn't find any such thing..if you find it ..send me the link ..

  • @MrKasperabhay How are you not getting this?

The original video does not exist anymore. They edited it. If it does exist, it's somewhere at national geographic studios in an archive.

  • @jjrudki how am i not getting this ??? because it is no where on the net ..not even a single article mentioning it was fake or edited ..how can i believe you if i don't see the actual footage ..O_O how did you see the footage ..? where did you see it and when did you see it ...i saw this footage like 5 years ago..

  • @MrKasperabhay Because you're gullible. It's barely a conspiracy, nobody knows any better. There are a few other commenters saying the same thing I'm saying, and it's fairly obvious really. It isn't the first time edited footage has been used in this way, lies all over TV.

It's a hippo. They're known to eat meat on occasion and known to be both incredibly territorial and aggressive. They aren't "Friends" with the other animals in the Savannah. If you really think that, then you're deluded.

  • @jjrudki yeah yeah most people believe in conspiracy theories like WTC was an Inside job..+there are commenters saying that there are trolls here and this clip is original .one of 'em even says he saw it when he was 14 yrs and this is original vid..just look back in comments history ..You might have seen the video from Hippo Beach Documentary where the hippo catches impala in river and then tosses it in its mouth in playful manner and then eats it

  • @MrKasperabhay It isn't the original clip though because there is a huge chunk of film missing between 1:28 and 1:34 of the original video that you posted earlier. They replaced whatever was there with a video of a Crocodile swimming. The scene of the Hippo letting go of the Impala at 1:22 in this video is clearly reversed.

You're making a huge mistake yourself regardless.... "Playful"..."Compassion"... Both of these are human terms and do not relate to wild animals in any way shape or form.

  • @jjrudki LOL i'll get to the root of this fake-video case ..and then PM you OK ..+ Playful and compassion are human terms ( well looking at the world of humans today i don't think so) and do not relate to wild animals in any way shape or form (at least wild animals show compassion for their own family members more often -__-)

  • @MrKasperabhay Don't PM me, as I don't honestly care.

There is nothing that will end the argument. I don't see any evidence against my case, where as my evidence is an obviously edited video.

Also, humans are fine. I have good friends and family, so unless your life is bad, it's pretty bold to say that humans aren't like that.

  • @jjrudki Thats where the problem starts ..i think you are a guy that have never been out of your comfort zone, always have stayed in one place with family ...don't really know how the world is, never have struggled ..so its actually not your fault if you think world is real nice place ...-___- where are you from anyways ..

  • @MrKasperabhay You can think that if you want, but I've had my fair share of life drama. My comfort zone is pretty vast. For instance, I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, crohn's disease and primary schlerosing cholangitis. Doubt you'll find many 21 year olds who can say that, honestly.

  • @jjrudki + i am not like some little guy who thinks that hippos are cute and friendly cos they are on my drawing books -__- .. i know hippos are carnivores ..+ i have been watching wildlife since i was 2 yrs ..my first wildlife movie was hunters of the plains ..over the years ..watching videos ,reading articles have gained me a lot of info n knowledge about wild animals -__- ..so stop mentioning dis point that hippos are carnivores again and again as if idk anything bout 'em -__-

  • Both top comments are wrong. I've seen this episode in full on TV. He was trying to revive the impala and it ended up dying. The croc just waited by the bank for the hippo to leave and it went back and ate it in the end.

  • @apocalist420 ahhh yes indeed, the choice of men

  • @apocalist420 do u like cupcakes, i do

  • @apocalist420 i do an u should to, hippo's for 2012

  • @apocalist420 really mouth to mouth, how about hes jsut trying to do something to revive it, there not humans they cant think like us, so what we see we cant describe casue we have no clue whats goin on inside his head to make him do that

  • PETA would consider this animal cruelty

  • I'm not repeating myself to anyone else. If you guys don't believe me, fine! Remain ignorantly naive and stick up for the liars (Nat Geo). But I ask you to watch the main clips again and then ask yourself "where is the evidence?". I'm not replying to anyone else here, if you REALLY want to talk me, inbox me.

  • @Kittywhiskers1000 dont get mad an be like 99% of people an escpae to using the word ignorant as your self defense, lmao at u

  • ah so inspiring where the prey can sometimes fight against the predators, there needs to be equal sometimes :P

  • Hippo's are herbivorous...

  • The hippo DOES NOT kill the impala, yes the clip was played in reverse, I guess because the uploader is retarded but I've seen the whole video and the hippo does attempt to save it.

    Fail top 2 comments lol

  • @watchmyshoes22 I've watched the full video as well, and that clip is also played in reverse. Actually, it's even more obvious in the full video since they play it forward and then reverse. Fail comment on your part, lol.

  • @watchmyshoes22 Would also like to know; how do you know the Hippo didn't kill the impala? In the full video it shows the hippo placing the impala's head within its mouth and then the clip automatically jumps to the hippo returning to the water and the impala is dead. These claims don't have enough evidence to support them, yet everyone still believes it's true. Unbelievable.

  • @Kittywhiskers1000 Lol no. The whole video shows a crocodile attacking it and the hippo saving it. Then it shows the crocodile coming back to get the impala

  • @watchmyshoes22 Send me the link then, please. As I would like to see this for myself (inbox it to me).

  • @watchmyshoes22 I'm still waiting for that link, or was what you said total bullshit?

  • Also, the impala is clearly dead when the hippo has it in it's mouth.... The impala was swimming away from the croc and the hippo bursted at the croc. Like i said the hippo was trying to revive it. Exactly what the show said. Something along the lines like, the hippo tries to revive the impala, but it's too late.

  • This was on national graphic, when i was like... 14... long time ago.. It's not in reverse, the crocodile had the impala in it's mouth, and the hippo scared it away, and the hippo tried to revive the impala. If you don't believe me go find it somewhere. National Geographic

  • srlsy?? top comments from know it all trolls? this hippo saved that impala rom the croc for real, it didnt survived though.

  • how would you feel, if someone come and slap a burger out of your hand?

  • Does anyone realize that Hippos are herbivores,,,

  • @RamboGrylls Like cows and deer?

  • @RamboGrylls they are known to eat meat if they are hungry enough

  • I thought it was i reverse too, but when you watch the actua vid in the related section...damn....just damn....

  • if wild animals can do this why can;t we.

  • fuck off long live the predators

  • Q video tal alentador!!

  • do not fuck with hippos....

  • yep has the courage to rip u in half too.

  • @EsOoBaCtvp the lions dun kill for fun. they do tt bcoz they have to eat n survive.....duh

  • OMG

  • horrible video

  • overall this was just a bad video

  • you can see that hippo was clearly attacking that impala, as there prone to do since there very territorial and will attack/kill just about anything that comes to close.

  • Humanitarian lion yet the lions were the ones killing the buffalo!

  • this video touched my heart

  • @Ashburnzero ...why?

  • Hippos are not joke. They can bite crocs in half.

  • Hippo killed the impala. The clip from 1:22 is played in reverse.

  • @Kittywhiskers1000 /watch?v=QbskV44lZfc&feature=related

  • @Kittywhiskers1000 Actually no, the clip isn't played in reverse. Though the little impala did end up dying of its wounds.

  • @shewolf51 I suggest you watch the clip carefully then, as it definitely is played in reverse. But, if you still don't believe me then there is little more to say, as I can clearly see that the clip is played in reverse. Sorry, but there is no compassion between this Impala and Hippo, I wish I could say there was.

  • @Kittywhiskers1000 Yeah, look at the top video in the related videos section. Same clip on National Geographic, complete with commentary from a Narrator they usually use in their videos. I guess your eyes are playing tricks.

  • @shewolf51 I've watched the entire footage upon another video and that particular clip is still played in reverse. Not only that, but there isn't enough evidence to support such claims. You see that clip played in reverse and then clip jumps to the hippo returning to the water and the impala is dead. Only a very naive person would believe such a thing without suitable evidence. I guess you need to go to specsavers.

  • @shewolf51 Watch the very end of the clip when it starts fading out. When the hippo closes its mouth, the impalas chin jumps on top of its nose in a bizarre motion- as if playing in reverse. Whether or not you believe me, I can't reply to you anymore; perhaps one day you'll realize I was correct.

  • @Kittywhiskers1000 type in Hippo Saves Impala, he is trying to revive it, hes not eating it

  • @frostitute85 Watched it, clip is still played in reverse and clips are taken out of scenes so there isn't enough evidence to prove that the hippo ever did such a thing. I have already convinced watchmyshoes, that's how obvious you guys are being lied to by Nat Geo.

  • @Kittywhiskers1000 r u sure casue it shows noting in reverse idk waht kind of crappy computer u got, but i saw a hippo helping it no video magic there

  • @Kittywhiskers1000 I saw the video from a different page and the hippo does not kill the impala. It actually tried giving it mouth to mouth, thats the part that was shown where the hippo puts the impalas head into its mouth

  • @1shortee Watched it and the clip is played in reverse. Impala is alive when its head is going into its mouth, doesn't need mouth to mouth. Clips are also edited out.

What you people don't understand is that if it was real they would put the ENTIRE scene within a video as it's never before seen footage! But, they're lying to you in order to gain more views. YOU guys go and watch the main clip again, because it's you guys who are missing the truth.

  • Comment removed

  • They forgot to show the part where the Hippo eats the Impala.....

  • @HypnoticRifle Hippos are vegetarians

  • @lennyauditt hippos do eat meat bro, i seen it on discovery channel and they dont lie lol

  • @HypnoticRifle hippos are herbovors dum crap!

  • @HypnoticRifle I suggest that you watch the actual footage from the documentaries. The hippo opens it mouth wide and simply checks on the poor impala but senses no chance for it to survive and quietly walks away. The croc comes back, snatches its leg and drags it back into the water and feasts on it.

Respect to nature! ........... unlike us....... on the other hand
