i saw the real video, the deer was attacked by a crocodile in which the hippo came bursting into the rescue, chasing off the crocodile and dragging the baby deer back to shore, unfortunately it didn't survive though.

They replaced whatever was there with a video of a Crocodile swimming. The scene of the Hippo letting go of the Impala at 1:22 in this video is clearly reversed.

Both top comments are wrong. I've seen this episode in full on TV. He was trying to revive the impala and it ended up dying. The croc just waited by the bank for the hippo to leave and it went back and ate it in the end.

This was on national graphic, when i was like... 14... long time ago.. It's not in reverse, the crocodile had the impala in it's mouth, and the hippo scared it away, and the hippo tried to revive the impala. If you don't believe me go find it somewhere. National Geographic
you can see that hippo was clearly attacking that impala, as there prone to do since there very territorial and will attack/kill just about anything that comes to close.

The hippo opens it mouth wide and simply checks on the poor impala but senses no chance for it to survive and quietly walks away. The croc comes back, snatches its leg and drags it back into the water and feasts on it.

The hippo DOES NOT kill the impala, yes the clip was played in reverse, I guess because the uploader is retarded but I've seen the whole video and the hippo does attempt to save it.

In the full video it shows the hippo placing the impala's head within its mouth and then the clip automatically jumps to the hippo returning to the water and the impala is dead. These claims don't have enough evidence to support them, yet everyone still believes it's true. Unbelievable.

Also, the impala is clearly dead when the hippo has it in it's mouth.... The impala was swimming away from the croc and the hippo bursted at the croc. Like i said the hippo was trying to revive it. Exactly what the show said. Something along the lines like, the hippo tries to revive the impala, but it's too late.

You see that clip played in reverse and then clip jumps to the hippo returning to the water and the impala is dead. Only a very naive person would believe such a thing without suitable evidence. I guess you need to go to specsavers.

@shewolf51 Watch the very end of the clip when it starts fading out. When the hippo closes its mouth, the impalas chin jumps on top of its nose in a bizarre motion- as if playing in reverse. Whether or not you believe me, I can't reply to you anymore; perhaps one day you'll realize I was correct.

The hippo opens it mouth wide and simply checks on the poor impala but senses no chance for it to survive and quietly walks away. The croc comes back, snatches its leg and drags it back into the water and feasts on it.
