  • um dia eu ainda aprendo *-*

  • buena interpretacion.

  • fuckin amazing

  • thank you man awesome cover with your coverr i've learn the right way to play this song

  • MAKE A TAB!!!!

  • To make this sound right on an acoustic you have to put a capo at the third fret and then modify the fingering slightly

  • @retnevni The tab book is wrong.

  • Best one on youtube IMO :)

One of my fave guitar solo's ever in this song!

  • What's that chord on 4:36? Just a different fingering of a power chord?

  • @MrLino it's Emadd9 .... do a normal Em chord but rather than play the E on the 4th string, play a F#.

  • @Docca3 The same chord used in Welcome to the machine, am I right? :D

  • great playing buddy :)

  • Very enjoyable :)

  • awesome

  • MY SISTER DOES NOT LIKE PINK FLOYD SO SHE IS A RETARD IT SEAMS LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Carter549

  • @Docca3 thankyou ! :D

  • Sheet music?

  • Tabs, please sir.

  • dude i was watching this video and i went to another tab for something and i forgot i was watching this because it sounds so perfect, i thought i was listening to david gilmour

  • not exact, but damn you made this song your own. you owned it man. great job, great job

  • fabuloso yo pienso k a mi todavia me keda mucho x aprender

  • and is that a Fender Stratocaster? looks similar to mine, finish and everything, except the pic ups are different.. jw

  • it's a Squire (1988) with DiMarzio Rail pups. The distortion, as far as I remember, is a classic drive from a Korg AX1500G effects unit. The rest of the effects are chorus with some reverb and delay thrown in.

  • hey sir , :D i wanna know about the guitar u r using and the Effect plz :D thx for good playing

  • hey, what distortions (if any) are you using.. im wondering if it's your amp or a specific pedal

  • Finally I found someone who did the distorted electric part too. This cover is simply amazing- very good job man!!! This cover became my reference on this song.

  • ta very much - I like to do ALL the song ... not just bits!!

  • dude the looks like standard tunning esp when he holds the d chord

  • yeah - this is in standard tuning ....

  • howd u get this amazing tune man?

  • ya iplay it like that too. nashville is just wierd

  • what are the chords at the end

  • you played it the way i play it. It's originally in high strung nashville tuning but this way is more convenient if you don't have the strings for it.

  • love this. thanks for a great cover.

  • that was amazing

  • Excellent job, keep it up

  • Excellent thanks a lot... it's a great version

    greetings from argentina

  • brilliant.........inspiring performance..........

must have taken tons of practice

  • thanks very much - took a long tinme to find the sounds and to get confident on holding the bends for a long time!

  • good..........

  • Comment removed

  • excellent - I did some lessons for this on Vanderbilly[dot]com ... might be worth checking out :D

  • really nice , pink floyd is just great!

  • Hey, It's pretty nice. Especially like the solo :)

  • thanks very much - glad you liked it :D

  • Nicely done :)

you certainly made it hard on yourself not using a capo at the 3rd lol I usually fingerpick this song too, you did a sweet job with the pick

  • excellent

  • awesome man 5 stars

can you give out the tab or make a lesson?

your really good and i really want to learn to play this song

  • ta very much - I've got lessons at vanderbilly[dot]com :)

  • @pawel216pl guitar world did a tab of this song thats exactly the same as this

  • you win the awsome reward

  • good it is realistic!

  • haha wern't that many. just bustin your balls. you did good man

  • yeah its him you can tell because all the mistakes

  • so true :)

  • what kind of pedal you got there?

  • it's a Korg AX1500G - the settings are listed in a previous reply :)

  • great job! i love the guitar you have there as well. poor cinematography, you are no longer "headless".

  • haha - yes ... I remember looking back at the video after capture and thinking 'damn, I can be seen .... but what the hell!!' Thanks for the comment

  • Awesome! 5 stars! Now i know I was on the right track. I just needed to get the smooth transition on the first two chords. I kept thinking, Pink Floyd must have it tuned higher, as theirs seemed so smooth. But you shoed it can be done! Thanks dude! Love it!!!!

  • ta very much .... this is actually supposed to be played in Nashville (or high steel) tuning, which is one of the reasons why it sounds so smooth when DG plays it - as well as him being a fantastic guitar player ! check out the lessons I did on VB as well - may help.

  • you just inspired me to go get my guitar and play rather than sitting here watching you !! rock on man, that's some huge playing there.

  • ta very much - fyi, I did some lessons for it on Vanderbilly[dot]com

  • thats not even u u fagg

  • oh yes it is!!

  • this is the best Hey you cover I've seen and none of that Nashville tuning stuff.

  • its amazing, the guitar is in standard tuning?

  • thanks - yes, I used standard tuning for this. Lessons available at Vanderbilly[dot]com :)

  • Great! The sound of guitar was also stunning.

  • thanks a lot - took a long time to find that sound

  • awesome . for floyd songs just need a feel and melody like you've shown. rated awesome and added to favourites..

  • thanks very much :D

  • get a backing track. get one at gilmourish (dot) com

  • this uses a mix of the studio track and the backing track from gilmourish[dot]com!

  • i dont understand why u dont just use the backing track then..

i thought this was boring to watch because u cant be sure if ur hearing your guitar or gilmours.

i think u should repost with only backing track :)

  • 'cos hearing the same set of chords over and over is a tad dull - so I want the lyrics behind it as well .... but the solo and all bits without singing is all me.

  • buono, bravo, very Good!

  • you´re over the rainbow

  • great!

  • ta very much :)

  • Hey! Really good! I'm trying to learn this and this was perfect to catch some tips! Thanks so much!

  • ta very much - check out vanderbilly[dot]com - I have a couple of vids showing how to play this :)

  • Excellent My Friend

  • ta very much :D

  • damn man that was good keep the Floyd alive

  • thanks a lot - I certainly will :D

  • Amazing considering it wasn't in the right tuning. I haven't seen a solo that good other than from David Gilmour himself.

  • ta very much - high praise indeed :D

  • very very good, i

  • ta very much :)

  • do i see gray hair billy?

    lol jk

    good job ;)

  • haha - yeah, you see me on a few vids but not many!!!

  • i mean right in the last verse...."HEy you out there on the road... beyond the wall breakin bottles in the hall...----------------HEY YOU DON`T TELL ME THERES NO HOPE AT ALL !!!...divided we fall....(ALL THAT ) (= thanks!

  • ah I see - see the reply to crazyfool78 ... its all in there :D

  • WHAT NOTES ARE THE LAST ONES?¿?¿?

  • which ones do you mean - the last chord is an Emadd9

  • amazing..

  • thanks a lot

  • I'm impressed! I use a capo on the 3rd fret and you didn't to some that may be like oh that's easy and not hard but, it still looks good. Very well played.

  • ta very much - I don't think i've come across an 'easy' Gilmour song yet!!!

  • Very nice! Would you mind sharing the specific settings you used on the AX1500G? I have the same unit and I love the sound you had going!

  • my pleasure - as far as I can remember them!!

Clean - compression (3/4), mod 4x12 cab (presence 6/7), classic chorus, plate reverb

Solo - US Hi-gain (6/7), mod 4x12 cab, hall reverb

End - Classic drive (3/4), classic 4x12 cab, plate reverb.

I think these were the basic settings - they'll then need to be tweaked to your specifc guitar and pup set up. I didn't keep a note of all the settings - should try to do that really! Hope it works for you :)

  • Beatifull! Very nice

  • thanks very much :)

  • Hi Docca3, What fuzz box did you use toward the end of the piece. This is one of my favorite videos. The music also helps. Cheers and thanks.

  • it's just a straight classic drive with the volume turned down to reduce the effect. It's through my Korg AX1500G effects block.

  • great job dude :) keep it up!

  • ta very much - will do :))

  • tres belle performance !!!

  • thank you - much appreciated :))

  • complimenti!!!!!!!

  • thanks very much :)

  • very good you playing .I like it song

  • ta very much :)

  • Nice version buddy, love the solo!

  • thanks very much - appreciated :)

  • OOOHHHH! Out of tune again é_è It's in nashville!

  • I know it's played properly in Nashville - but I haven't got enough guitars to have one sitting in that tuning!!

  • can you send me the chords starting at 3:58? Great!

  • yes - it's a switch from Em - Emadd9, B (x2); run up B,C,C#,D ... G,D,C .... B, Am, Emadd9 (reverse strike from top to bottom strings). That's what I play anyway - it's not 'right', but it sounds OK :)

  • Good job on the bends during the solo! they're way hard to get just right, and you nailed them!

  • ta very much - getting the bends is the reason started trying to play DG!

  • flawless man, i love the hot rails

  • thanks very much :) pups are DiMarzio rails - luvverly!!

  • wow, that was fantastic man, really helped me learn how to play this song for a gig i got comin up, thanks a lot, 5 stars

  • brilliant - really glad it helped :)

  • perfect!!

  • thanks very much :)

  • veryyyyyyyyyyyyyy good

  • just perfect!!!!

  • thanks very much :)

  • man your good awesome solo imma fav. it and 5stars it why doen't this kind of video have more views rather than this chris crocker crap???

  • ta very much - you're obviously a discerning viewer :D :D

  • well done.. what pedals u use?

  • I use a Korg AX1500G pedal board ... but am looking to get the Zoom G9.2tt

  • Brilliantly played, the way you play the solo almost sounds better than the original. Keep posting vids man, they're awesome.

  • Glimour's playing is soooo smooth, soooo assured, I can but scratch the surface ... but thanks a lot, much appreciated :)

  • Looking at many of the solo's of Hey You and you nailed it! Really nice!

  • Thanks very much - I was certainly happy with it

  • Awesome bro, just awesome

  • Thanks a lot - appreciated :)

  • hahahaha! That was incredible! Loved the solo, too. Very clean tone... almost perfect! 5*!

PS. Check out my channel for some cool Pink Floyd and Zeppelin tunes. I post new stuff all the time.

  • I realy like your way to play at... you rocks too much... can you make a video for me or others, to make a good training for your fingers on the fretboard?, and wish your next project would be The Sweet, Ballroom Blitz, my favourite number...

    See Yaa
