Sweet video! I have a question: I have a slide switch I wanted to use as a power supply, but I can't tell which pin is for what! It has 3 pins on it, and a mark indicating pin 1. Is there a standard way they are set up? I melted a breadboard testing it out with and LED - what is up with that!

I was talking to a friend about applications of high pass filters and remote controls and we were wondering how most remote controls handle denouncing? Do they have the micro controller limit input speed? Or is there an RC circuit connected to the switch? Or maybe something completely different. I guess I might just pick up a remote from goodwill and find out myself.
I was hoping to see electrical switches like in our homes where you can turn on the light with a switch and turn it off with another one. never figured out how they worked
One thing I need to hack is the wireless remote for my car. It uses the membrane switch but I would rather have standard momentary switches because they're more reliable and harder to press in my pocket.

@AMS3000 Suggestion: use a multimeter! :) Really, the multimeter is the right tool for inspecting a circuit or some components.
Also, LEDs blow up if connected directly to a power supply; you need to put a resistor to limit the current.

I was hoping to see electrical switches like in our homes where you can turn on the light with a switch and turn it off with another one. never figured out how they worked

One thing I need to hack is the wireless remote for my car. It uses the membrane switch but I would rather have standard momentary switches because they're more reliable and harder to press in my pocket.
