Depends what you wanna do in the air force, first, make sure you go to college (or get with the CF subsidized education plan) but if you wanna be a search an rescue tech or something I suggest getting as fit as an olympic athlete AND go to college (even though its not needed to be a search and rescue tech).

@yoyoizABEnMOE I dont want to undermime your dream, but its nearly impossible to become a pilot in the Canadian Forces, you need extremely good academic skills and extremely good physical and mental skills. Oh and I recommend NOT being a helicopter pilot, our helis are ancient and literally falling out of the sky.

I have a brother in the Canadian Forces stationed in Petawawa, he's in Artillery. My best friend is a Canadian Reservist and he recently finished his officer's training and is now a Master Corporal. I'm going to get the enlistment papers on Thursday. Figures I'd start out in the Reserves and from my experience there, I'll decide if I go Reg Force.

if your friend completed his officer training he would be OCdt (officer cadet) or 2Lt (second lieutenant) he's probably still currently MCpl (master corporal) while doing his officer courses
