I added a Fujita short ram kit and changed the tires from 225/55/17 to 235/45/17's. The car is running 14.0's at 100 mph uncorrected in crappy Phoenix DA. To put that into perspective I beat a current body Mustang GT with intake and drag radials. He ran a 14.170 at 97 mph to my 14.0 at 100 mph. I lost to an SRT-8 Charger with intake & exhaust. It ran a 13.6 to my 14.0.
The car is fast enough for me. I would like a set of drag radials so I can use WOT off the line.
My bolt-on 1982 5.0 mustang cuts 0-100 mph in between 15 and 16 seconds, abotu the same as you. I also beat a current body mustang GT on the street by 1 or 2 tenths worth, about the same as you. With slicks, people with similar setups as me are running 13.55 @ 100
@jeffwoods1010 It's a luxo sports sedan. IMO, it's perfect the way it is. These things aren't meant to break records but to trasport you comfortable safely at the same time keeping it fun. I don't see the reason to heavily mod such vehicles. Very nice ride!
