  • WOW, super useful video. Thanks peff :)

  • Great video Peff. I have generally used Logic for anything requiring serious audio editing but Record is capable of doing a great many of those things.

What about multi-track drum editing though? Can you cut across multiple audio files at the same time?

  • hi, is editing have electrical microphone hum/noise reduction function ? it is very important... thanks.

  • Other than using equalizers (EQ notching out 50/60Hz.) there is no hum cancellation. Of course an SSL doesn't have hum cancellation either since it's assumed that you would go to the trouble of making sure the input signal is clean. I can see this being an issue if you're doing remote recording though

You can use the noise gate and expander to reduce hum/noise, I have it enabled but the threshold is set pretty low and extraneous noises like the lip smacking trigger the gate to open.

  • Hey Peff, how do you draw those fades on the clips?

    Please and Thanks!

  • Hey Jeremy, On the audio clips, there's a handle at the start and ends of each clip. just click on it and drag it back or forth to draw in the fade.

  • Always learning something from these, thanks! I was wondering how to automate effects and EQ knobs. Double Thanks!

  • To automate effects and EQ knobs, just hold alt and click on the knob you want automate, it will then have a green circle around the knob chosen. Now you can draw or record in automation.

  • Great Video

Probably answers a lot of people questions about Record's editing capabilities
