  • Omg so addicted to them !

  • Just found them - they freaking rock - I'm hooked. Sounds a little like the 80's band, the Plimsouls but more gritty. Love it.

  • c cool

  • Oh Man...The riffs of "Heart of Stone" and "Love in a Trashcan" are just Unbelievable...

  • <3

  • that awkward moment im feeling like listening to love in a trashcan

  • Danish Band

  • this isnt actually a bad song, thank god i went and seen the last song or I wouldnt have even heard this. lol

  • the intro is 95% lateralus

  • Lateralus much? Maybe it was deliberate

  • @rrippp Beat me to it.

  • good video and song

  • lsd? Nah!

  • Intro riff is from Money for nothing, Dire Straits. So what?

  • @Cajsarinden Dude even if they stole the riff, ffs who the hell gives a sh*t!!, if its good its good. Ppl should stop trolling and simply enjoy the music, its the reason why its there! Take care and hej, enjoy life for all i know youre only here once!

  • @anticalotin Oh absolutely, my point is that even if the riff is real close to something else, it's still a amazing piece of music. I listen to it every day on my way to work, makes the morning a great deal less stressful.

  • @Cajsarinden Would never have thought of that. In Money For Nothing the riff is played differently, but stylistically I notice the similarities.

But hey, as long as it sounds good, that's what counts. This song is so good, I could care less where the riff is from.

  • should be ashamed of how much they ripped off that riff. just youtube "lateralus" it's the first riff in the song.. such a blatant riff off.

  • <3

  • The main melody of this song is stolen from the song Lateralus from the band Tool.

  • @Jimmious the main melody of this song is older than dirt.

  • @ireallyamrumi Nope, Tool aren't that old.

  • Thumbs up if your'e from Denmark

  • I've heard of this band, but never heard them. Not bad and the video is pretty kewl too.

  • kool video^^

  • I think the music and the video are brilliant.

  • I like the music a lot.. but I don't know about the video.... :/

  • Dont know about the music but the video is really cool

  • Lateralus ripoff !

  • @c0rr1x You must be deaf?

  • @c0rr1x

It's in a different key, the intervals are different too. So not completely true.

  • @c0rr1x who cares

  • m m m m EL RiFf SUENA A "moNEY FoR NOTHiNg!" Jha!!

  • Thumbs up if "The Last Song" brought you here.

  • working on to have a heart of stone...but still, it's not so strong enough to handle all :P

  • I love that song...

  • when i first saw this on youtube 60.000 views and now half million wow

  • Awesome song, don't get me wrong, but the main vocals sound a little like sonic youth- 100%

  • their really good xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Does anyone know what font they use at 0:04? Any help's really appreciated!

  • this is wicked. I love it.

  • "The Raveonettes - Heart Of Stone", nice.

    I like it.

By the way, thanks for sharing ya~

    ^_^

  • Nice ONE!!!

  • Bellissimo video!

  • @lipssounds I did and .. WOW, you are very talented! :D

  • @lipssounds Not sure if you are referring to what am but if so keep doing what your doing:}:}:}

  • this mixing/mastering it's terrible!!! who do it?

  • @jonnybriarwood Drawing inspiration from someone, and completely ripping off of them are two totally different aspects.....

  • damm nice video, and of course awsome music:D

  • what music genre is this?

  • @skadime It's a hybrid mix of 60's pop and punk rock. I don't know, this is really hard to define in "genre" terms. The only other band I've heard that sounds similar to this is Jesus and the Mary Chain.

  • @skadime Indie rock/alternative/garage rock/noisy and some of their songs are more experimental

  • Cool

  • vevo can suck my fat cock

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...............dripping wet reverb

  • Love your music!

  • i love the song..but i dont get the video can someone explain it too me plz lol

  • @2010tifm The video is about love, the love is gone... No more butterflies in stomach, a drop of bitterness, etc. You should know that, youre old enough;)

  • @scalak lol thanks its just the video had me confused lol :)

  • don't mind a vevo ad as long as it's janet jackson!!!! I love her!!!!! <3

  • i looooooove this song <3<3<3=p~

  • i thank the last song for having such a great album with amazing music like this. this song is on my 25 most played lol

  • Haha, I loved this number at Roskilde! Halfway through I realized it was probably because it sounded like Lateralus but fuck it, this is great too!

  • Here I am again.

  • ...big sound! amaizing video!! :)~

  • ...big sound! amaizing video!! :)~

  • STEAM PUNK!

  • The lick for both this song and Lateralus actually originate from a tune by The Blasters called Dark Night, which was written in 1985 as a texas blues punk tune. Doesn't matter though, they're all different songs, and all good in their own respective ways. But whatever.

  • @DhaliaFrantic or live footage than* this

the way you type things cheapens your thoughts/words, imo. and it takes longer to type your way. wasting your precious time.

  • I am obsessed with this video.

  • This guitar riff indeed reminds me of lateralus...

Who gives a fuck..... BOTH SONGS ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LeoOfThessaloniki nai re file kai mena apo tool

  • @kitetrial Asta na pane. Otan to prwtoakousa se ena mparaki to prwto prama pou skeftika itan " Wpa kai oi tool".... Stin arxi den mou arese pou emoiaze me to lateralus alla meta to brika gamato...

  • Nice song, but I really really dislike the video.

  • Thumbs up if you knew this band before that retarded Miley Cyrus movie.

  • @fishnet4media Well before, and I haven't seen that movie anyways.

  • @fishnet4media what movie?

  • @fishnet4media Stop it.

  • @fishnet4media this appeared in a movie with Miley Cyrus ?! strange choice ... in which one ?

  • @fishnet4media what movie is that? miley cyrus movie? wtf is that?

  • @fishnet4media

i don't know of a miley cyrus movie, but i've known this band since waaay back :) attack of the ghost riders!

  • @fishnet4media i'm blissfully ignorant of any Miley Cyrus butchering of The Raveonettes and i'd like to keep it that way

  • @manbot47 lol:)

  • @fishnet4media oh my gosh, why is everyone picking on Miley Cyrus? Did you even see the movie?

  • @fishnet4media I didnt know of them before that movie so I cant thunbs up... but I also never watched that movie so... thank fuck.

  • @fishnet4media Don't know Miley Cyrus, love The Raveonettes since In and Out of Control.

  • :D

  • Definitely, it smells like Lateralus, but this is cool, not tool. And if you ask about tool, tool is art. Art is tool.

  • If you don't know who Tool is, I suggest you guys look it up. Way better band than this, but its not bad.

  • jasper morello.....

  • Oh no!!! This song sounds slightly similar to another song!!!! I hate everything now!!! But seriously, shut up.

  • Smells like Lateralus...

  • What is tool?

  • This stupid Ads are killing me!

  • Let's analyze this: it's not even in the same key as Lateralus. It doesn't share the same root notes. It doesn't have the same rhythm. It doesn't carry the same tempo, nor timbre, nor style. It may remind you of Lateralus, but it's not nearly the same. It reminds me more of Radiohead than Tool. Fans have always rebuked artists for sounding similar to other artists. This inevitably happens because humans can be like-minded and draw inspiration from parallel arts, or the same arts. Don't flip out.

  • @jonnybriarwood bad artists copy, great artists steal

  • @jonnybriarwood ...and i don't think they sound anything like the rolling stones "heart of stone", they sound like the ravonettes to me. and i'm having waffles!! :)

  • @jonnybriarwood Did you just really reduce music to a series of numbers(notes) ? By that analysis alone a hundred songs that use the same chords are actually one and the same song.

Music is a bit more then the sum of the parts.

  • @jonnybriarwood They didn't steel the riff from Tool. If they stole it, it was from the Blaster's song "Dark Night," which is 17 years it's prior and sounds much more like it than Lateratus does.

  • the whole song doesn't have any similarity with lateralus but the main riff of this song is the same with the opening riff of lateralus just with different tempo

  • @jonnybriarwood I see what your saying but the opening riffs to this song and Lateralus are quite similar. In terms of melody (arguably the most important aspect when comparing songs and one you oddly ignore in your analysis) the first 7-8 are exactly the same. Think about it, when artists cover songs they often change the key, rhythm, tempo, style AND timbre...but as a certain band once said...the song remains the same. It's really all about melody.

  • @extropian Actually the note progressions are not exactly the same, nor the melody itself. Lateralus starts with Adam playing D, then D (octave higher), followed by a G hammer-on (D) pull-off (G), then C and D, back to root D. Notice how the root D was played only twice in the first 8 notes. Now, let's look at Heart of Stone. The guitar begins with root F#, then to F# (not an octave), back to root F#, then E to F#, back to root F#, E, back to root F#. The root note there was played 4 times. See?

  • @jonnybriarwood Well said man! I hate when people rip a song apart and try to say it is another song.

  • THE REPLAY BUTTON IS RAPED, BUT ILL BE BACK ;)

  • Really love the song, but it's probably because it's a brutal rip off from Tools Lateralus...

  • Just Perfect!!!!

  • 2.20-2.26 the best part of the song....that guitar!!! :x :X thumbs up if u agree

  • Agree !!! :D

  • Thumbs up if you heard this one THE LAST SONG !? ♥

  • Money for Nothing?!

  • @northy31 Exactly! First thing I noticed.

  • In the video the main character is committing suicide, is that not obvious to you people?

  • ADD2: Ooo idea: that little machine heart could be a new heart growing. It looks a little more naive than the 'real' heart though.

  • Comment removed

  • ADD: also, because it's all in the gramophone it's like a mirroring of the song's lyrics.

  • SO my summary: man gets a call from his girlfriend that they're breaking up. man gets mad D:< and like a baby cuts off his love/heart for her. i have no idea what that little machine heart thing is, the jumping one. i imagine it's some external part of his humanity.

  • the butterflies dying in his stomach = losing the ability to feel. the light goes out in his head. when he drops the teardrop into that machine of destruction the liquid has turned black like his insides have filled with black smoke. he pumps the poison (black teardrop) into the beating heart and it stops beating. in the picture frames we see a pair of lovers, the picture frames crash with the heart. (cont.)

  • my interpretation: it's all in the gramophone. he gets a call that signals some sort of disaster, the rose falls = broken emotion. the woman first stopping the pressure leaks is like the dude trying not to cry (we first enter his eyes). somehow after all that machine work he manages to squeeze out a teardrop. then we enter his chest which is rumbling like it's angry. then somehow his head goes crazy and is 'full' of smoke. (cont.)

  • Question, I'm used to dadaist images with tons of surrealisim from music videos but can anyone explain the story here for me? Stunning visuals, good music but completely incomprehensible.

  • the video is like when someone smokes, your heart will die

  • don't get the video =\ good song tho

  • tim burton made a ps2 game?0_0

  • Love the raves! and this song might be one of the best in my opinion! if you are into this you should check out another danish band called kiss me scarlett here on the tube.

  • Been a huge fan of this band for a few years now, and I have to say this is one of my faves by them.

  • Sheesh!' Tool - Lateralus or what?

  • @TibiaWind stop!! its a cool song but its lateralus like!!!

  • @taainks7babe Tehe, alwoyt alwoyt

  • Bravo!

  • I love the animation and the song isn't so bad either, although unlike most music videos i can't really work out the story behind this one.

  • The video is practically The Mysterious Explorations of Jasper Morello in CGI.

    FAIL

  • @AhcriSlate dude,nothing personal but FUCK YOU

  • Thumbs up is steampunk brought you here!

  • 28 of those dislikes , has the heart of stone and no love in their heart

  • i saw them wen they first started!!! :D sooo cool to see them hav a video!

  • they stole the tool - lateralus intro!

  • @schiferli Sorry, I don't think Sune or Sharin listens to Tool.

  • Intro a bit like The Blasters-Hard Night, but I still like it : )

  • Why does some parts remind me of a dire straits song?

  • I think this tune has Epicness! :)

  • Intro Stolen from Tool Lateralus??

  • @ntefron Stolen? Or creatively enhanced?
