He has 3 forms, those two and super saiyan. ascended saiyan is a combination of kaioken and super saiyan, which is why I had goku go kaioken before using SSJ2. If I had him just go ssj I'd use his normal ssj form, but ssj for him is completely useless.

Q1: No. SSJ is a 4x increase in power. That's what Vegeta had. Kakarot combined kaioken and ssj to get an 8x increase in power.

Q2: I'm not too sure what you're exactly asking (sorry), but kakarot combines ssj with kaioken to make ascended saiyan, which has enough power and speed to make a mark on Piccolo. SSJ alone is too weak and slow and kaioken is too weak and slow. Putting them together works out better than leaving them alone. I came up with that form so Kakarot could fight Piccolo.
