  • It's too bad that this track on the Borrowed Time remaster sounded terrible. I can't even listen to it.

  • They had the pick of destiny!!!

  • Diamond Lights: The Story Of Diamond Head. It would probably make people aware of them, especially if they settled their differences and brought Sean back

  • saw them on this tour at west runton pavillion

  • Doesn't matter who inspired who... Metallica pays much respect by covering Diamond Head songs, bringing in cash and helping out with promotion.

  • Just think......if Colin Kimberley hadn't left and they got in a slap bass monstrosity and gulp a keyboard player what they could have achieved.Brilliant band brilliant track, was fortunate to see them live many times , always fantastic.

  • They had a keyboard player and it worked out miserably. Slap bass? No thanks. Leave that for joke bands like Primus and Chili Peppers. I like more serious music, not the Seinfeld theme.

  • Where can i get this track, the riff is fucking amazing, way better than seek and destroy, and that says a whole lot.

  • It inspired James to write Seek And Destroy!

  • i know, i like this version better, and metallicas cover of am i evil sucked compared to the original

  • NO?

am i evil suits metallica much better

  • Omg it's here! Dead reckonin'! This track is not well known.. pity, coz' it's one of the best by DH.

    Rocks! dead reckoniiiiiiiiiin'!

  • yeah, this song inspired metallica's seek and destroy, cool !!!

  • I just posted on a another clip that was probably from this same show asking for this song! THANKS!

  • As far as i can hear, this is the same lyrics as the studio version. They performed and recorded it live at BBC sometime in 1981 i think where the song is much longer with an intro, guitar solo and different lyrics. I am very interested to find the lyrics for both versions. Anybody can help?

  • Holy shit, I've never heard a live version of this before. Looks like Diamond Head had a damn good gig that night.

  • This was at Wigan Pier on May 3rd - I was there :-)

  • I'm a bit of a youngin, but I was very fortunate to see them during their only performance in America back in 2002. I got to hang with them for 3 days, interview Sean, and Karl got wind of my plans to head out to Cali a few weeks later and invited my g/f and I to dinner at his house. I'll never forget those few weeks. DH were the best thing in rock in my opinion.

  • Nice story, those DH guys sound like nice blokes

  • Yeah they were. After that though, I never heard from them again.
