I was in there for both nights...........after 20 years of gigs, the 10 minutes-ish of 'Great Expectations - Newborn - Friend Of Ours' remains the ultimate highlight.

I was at the live relay at Castlefield tonight. The show and performance was awesome and wonderfully unique.

Guy Garvey regularly mentioned the crowd down there and paid us a visit during the interval. Thanks to everyone for producing such an amazing show.

It really added to it having you there; what's the point of experiencing something so precious if you can't share it?

I swear my heart stopped a few times. This was so intelligently done, not just a wall of sound, but delicately beautiful and sparse in places. Elbow's silences have always been special but teamed with the Halle they were almost unbearable; tears were inevitable!

The joy on the faces of everyone performing warmed the cockles too. Top job folks, lots of proud Mums I hope!
