  • My Navigator's suspension failures make me wish that I would have gotten an Escalade instead.

  • okay now will i pass the state inspection?

if i get this done on my 03 navigator.

if so pls let me know anyone

  • 2008 navigators have coil over struts I owned one why'd you contact strutmaster?

  • @juanshadows15 this vid is a conversion process for 03 to 06 models because the air suspensions are shit

  • @rjacob94 no shit i had an 04 on and an 08 but kilograms2500 said " thanks to strutmaster he didnt trash his 2008 navigator, i had one and the air suspension was replaced for the coil over strut on the 07 model? Whats up with that?

  • thank you strutmaster.

youguys save me tons of money.

before this, i was about to trash my 2008 navigator.

    Thank You.

  • WTF? Navigators don't have struts in the front? They have upper and lower control arms. It is totally beyond my comprehension why companies who specialize in suspensions can't tell the difference between a McPherson strut and an integrated air spring/shock absorber unit. Strut suspensions don't have upper control arms. Anyone who has ever worked on a suspension knows that.

  • @tjhaywood100 ,

I have a 2005 Lincoln Navigator with front and rear Air Spring or Bag type Suspension. Ford designates the front suspension parts as follows and you can look this up at ford parts dealer.com which is an actual dealership in Novi, Michigan SUSPENSION COMPONENTS: 1) Adjustment Cam 2) Knuckle 3) Lower Control Arm 4) Spring Air or Coil over (specify) 5) Strut "this is internal to the spring" 6) Upper Control Arm 7) Upper Mount. This comment does not include other suspension asm's

  • Part1:

I don't get it? You're selling folks air bags cause they are better than springs, and springs to folks who have air premium suspension? I have seen several of these videos here, replacing air with springs The Problem With Air Suspension, etc...

So air ride is NOT an upgrade, and will soon carp out necessitating expensive and constant repairs???

    Continued....

  • @C0Y0TE5

Your comments aren't very constructive and seem to be based on bias. I have a 1991 Lincoln Continental that I converted to conventional struts with a kit from this company and the car drives just as well as before. Remember that all things have life-spans and that, even though they've lasted 10 years, the struts on any car will probably need to be looked at. Is your rant directed at Ford or Strutmasters? Stop complaining.

  • @C0Y0TE5 , I understand your concern for and about this type of component conversion and yes air ride is a luxury most of which these systems are not actually a Ford Product but a product of "Firestone" the tire company, owned by a Japan Company. Something not right when you comment you drive Asian? Especially when some or most components on a Navigator is not made in the United States anyhow, 30% made here 70% Foreign.

  • Part2:

I don't know about you, but if I had a 3 - 4 year old LINCOLN with a single failed air bag that was so expensive to repair that I would consider replacing all four of them with obsolete technology......I would be really pissed! Or have I been spoiled by my rice-mobiles which go 10 years with little to no repairs?

    Continued....

  • Part3:

Is this another example of the FAILURE OF AMERICAN TECHNOLOGY? Hello Ford?!? It's a LINCOLN for God's sake!

    SHAME!
