What ever i love DOA better than Tekken and i like tekken better than virtual fighter but who care games are just games in many ways the DOA is better than tekken 1) the characters are much faster 2) they counter and 3)it looks more realistic

The thought recently occured to me. Why is there no new fighting game franchises anymore? It's a damn shame, I love DoA4, SC4, Tekken 6, SF4, KoF12, etc but gone are the days of seeing anything new in these series.

I have an easy answer for why there seam to be no new fighters or fighting game franchises. It's because everyone who makes a new fighter or make a sequal to a fighter choose to be underground instead of mainstream. They decide not to make their games a franchise. I've played a few of them, and seen many. Most of which are Doujin. Some are pretty awesome, but a few I personally don't care for.

Yeah the doujin ones. Japan gets many random anime fighters and the rest but I'm talking somehting brand new and creative that's not just a cash-in for an anime.

I know that Tatsunoko vs Capcom is out and also Blazblue is very close to release (by the makers of Guilty Gear). Blueblaz is definately a step in the right direction as far as new franchises are concerned but the character roster is tiny and it feels like it's too similar to Guilty Gear which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Surprisingly, anime was the last one on my mind. I have played some of the Naruto, DBZ, and Bleach games. And I'm familiar with, though haven't played, titles like Eternal Fighter Zero and that odd Azumanga fighter. I was thinking more like Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, Melty Blood, Akatsuki Blitzkamp, and Skullgirls. Though, I don't recall any more work on Skullgirls being done, so I have little faith in that one seeing completion.

Honestly, I blame Guilty Gear for making the fighting game genre impossible to get into. You could learn multivariable calculus in the time it takes to learn how to actually play the game competently, and from there fighting games got so needlessly, damn-the-manual complex that it became impossible for casual fans to get into fighting games, so the only way to make money was with an established fanbase.

Good combos but half of the mwould be countered. the great thing about combos is they are good if your target is just standing there not blocking or anything, but when they are moving it becomes very hard to pull anything like this off. NOW if countering was not possible, we these combos would kill anyone! Awesome job! ^^

@AldinSaric They actually are possible. You have to play mind games with your opponent to be able to land them. Throwing attacks at a wobbly opponent one after another is not good to do and you'll end up being countered. You have to mess with you opponent and him him mash out a counter when your not attacking.

Easiest to push that out is in the Crash Club. The floor and walls are all dangerous. Useful to begin the punches. The place is small too, so not much of a problem.
