  • The Republicans are right on issues of the permissibility of abortion and homosexual practice?

Do you think some of them just say they are?

Religion has no business in politics.

    Republicans hypocrats

  • Definitely not the man we voted into the senate, thats for sure.

  • Perhaps, but maybe he is exactly who Alaska enjoyed having in the Senate. Lots of Seniority, Ranking Member on the Appropriations Committee, he was in a position to bring home the bacon--including the infamlous "Bridge to Nowhere"". Power Corrupts..and both parties need a healthy dose of humility and reality

  • Kudos

  • WOW! The "we are just like jesus" party doesn't act very christian.

  • @WashMitt

It saddens me that my religion, one of peace, charity, and love for all including sinners, has been co-opted by a political party of man that promotes war, oppresses the poor, and responds to the sins of others with anger and hatred. I believe that the Republicans are right on issues of the permissibility of abortion and homosexual practice, but hatred is not how Christ responded to sinners when He walked the Earth. You are right, they don't behave in a Christian way at all.

  • Peace

  • Kate you are a hot wonk!

  • agreed

  • From the first time I ever heard him speak....I knew he was crook.

  • Hello world ! Have a great day !!

  • What's the big deal, Bush will just pardon him, 24 hours before his term ends.

  • True but the big deal politically is that it looks more and more like the Democrats are going to be taking Stevens Senate seat. The latest poll I've seen on electoral-vote shows Begich 53% vs. Stevens 36%.

  • i am sure his buddies will find a way for him to slip by the law, our government is a running joke, and those who would see the collapse of the United State, smile and wait in the wings. jimmy

  • Maybe the series of tubes collapsed and revealed the dirty laundry. he will never trust a tube.

  • Against my better judgment something tells me this guy is innocent, Bush DOJ hasn't shown much of a interest in people that have actually done something.

  • It seems a good rule to go by that when one is in power for a long time, corruption is bound to have happened.

  • tpm has had a hard on for this senator for a long time. i'm glad to see something come of it

  • Yay Kate, no air quotes this time!

She's almost as good as the main guy, no?

  • yeah she is great, also quite hot lol.

  • The internets is tubes!

  • thx Kate. You're much better than that Josh-Marshall wannabe they had a few weeks ago.

  • no way! I love joshua micah marshall! he's confident and smart.

  • if u read my comment correctly i said there was a josh marshall wannabe a few weeks ago ie. he was not josh marshall. i love josh marshall too.

  • Much better stand in than that other guy. Not only is she attractive, but she can actually read her lines.

  • Katie Colonic!

  • I'm telling you, the jailhouse bars aren't trucks, they're a series of tubes!

  • Its about time. Remember the bridge to nowhere. PorkSpending. Lets see if MCain makes a statement. He's so against the pork spending.

  • she's hot

  • This guy made Alaska the laughing stock of the whole country. The famous bridge to nowhere came from him.

  • Alaska deserves better.

you guys look much better than John McCain against the yukky green screen. and you're not as confused and random and sickly old.

  • This is nothing but a political ploy to placate the public.

If the government is truly going after corrupt officials, why isn't Bush being prosecuted yet?

  • HAHA

  • Wow, its just Christmas all the time for this Stevens motherfucker ain't it?

  • Alaskans apparently LIKE the CBC - Corrupt Bastards Club

  • >___> Republican corruption? You should also report on breathing. The two happens quite as frequently.

  • to Mel1334:

There is no shortage of corruption on the Democratic side either, you all are just too brainwashed to realize the Dems/Reps are just 2 sides of the same coin. Despotism is the goal, and both sides are working toward it, the packages are just wrapped in different papers.

  • and?

  • Do a search for "House Committee on National Resources Report"

Fact is, fact fans, that the oil companies are only using 25% of the land they can drill on, right now. They are sitting on the rest. The whole "let us drill on national parks" is a smoke screen of epic proportions. Repeat they are sitting on them and trying to claim the rights to sit on the rest for reasons best know to themselves.

But if you want more oil flowing. tell the companies to use what they have before using parks.

  • bye bye Tubez

  • I wonder how much oil companies have given for the drill here drill now campaign. Do people realize that even more drilling will not decrease oil prices but increases oil company profits.

  • Kate's back! Whoo!

    She seems happy, too.

  • A republican in a scandel? And taking gifts from an oil man?!?!

  • Shocking, simply shocking! Round up the usual suspects!

  • Can't, they're finishing out their last term in the white out.

  • House*
