Lots of Seniority, Ranking Member on the Appropriations Committee, he was in a position to bring home the bacon--including the infamlous "Bridge to Nowhere"". It saddens me that my religion, one of peace, charity, and love for all including sinners, has been co-opted by a political party of man that promotes war, oppresses the poor, and responds to the sins of others with anger and hatred. I believe that the Republicans are right on issues of the permissibility of abortion and homosexual practice, but hatred is not how Christ responded to sinners when He walked the Earth. You are right, they don't behave in a Christian way at all.

Fact is, fact fans, that the oil companies are only using 25% of the land they can drill on, right now. They are sitting on the rest. The whole "let us drill on national parks" is a smoke screen of epic proportions. Repeat they are sitting on them and trying to claim the rights to sit on the rest for reasons best know to themselves.

But if you want more oil flowing. tell the companies to use what they have before using parks.
