Oh! i would love it if after that the student missed class, and then came back with a broken leg, and told everyone about how he got in a car accident, and couldn't call anyone for help because "Somehow his phone got destroyed by the teacher teaching the class." Just saying.

Sure i think that professors have the right to kick you out of class, but he should pay so much for braking that phone. Plus, there are so many reasons why it could have gone off! (Maybe the person was a jerk who always got called, and just let it ring, but i'm just saying.) I think that was wrong. And if he did that to my phone, i would have stood up, and gone to complain to his head of department. He would have been screwed, i promise.

thats dumb, yeah I'd turn the phone on silent and take the call out of class but come on, that professor gets paid to be there whereas those classes cost hundreds of dollars for students, let them make phone calls if they have to.

I love it. If the student wants to, he can take the professor to small claims court to get the money for the phone. I know the professor doesn't care, and will happily go to court and pay for the rude guy's phone.
