@janeck123 Corvettes are great, fastest ship in the game. There's 2 ways to get a MMOW that I have, find one in a treasure fleet/Armada and probably get killed or defeat Desmond Ray Beltrop in the pirate campaign. There's a really good sea dogs walkthrough online.
@janeck123 I think it's like QAWS for different strikes and holding shift while you hit feins an attack to take them off guard and it's left and right on the arrow keys to block. As for best nationality I'd say either French or pirates.
@janeck123 reputation isn't that important, nations either hate you or they don't. You're neutral with England and France unless you attack them and everyone hates the Spanish and Pirates, you can only join the spanish if you buy a pardon.
I couldn't get it installed on my PC for some unknown reason but it uses the same engine so I'd imagine it would be about the same or slightly better. Sea Dogs is so glitched it's ridiculous.
@Hawkboi55 The ManoWar can only be found twice. One is a Mission for Spain, the other is if you follow your Fathers treasure map. You have to fight Beltrop by the island and its incredibly hard. Once you get the ship, its a bitch to keep up with repairs and supplies.

@90BritishBiker Yeah because even if you manage to board and take the ship, the Armada still has Battleships and Warships so its nearly impossible to escape.
@hatemf23 The adventure getting to the chance to get the manowar is really tough. And its a strain on your money. Luckily, my game had a glitch where I talked to a pirate and I got 2000exp each time. I put something on the button on the computer and went out for a bit. I came back and had 999999 exp.
@IBiteTheHandThatFed too many to name, I had one I made a video of where I boarded a ship right as I destroyed it and then tried to sail it. One of the spanish islands was flying a french flag and every time I sailed there I saw french ships in the harbour being gunned down by the fort. also one time I was using the time speed up button as I walked into a shop and I ran right behind the counter and got stuck forever.
@90BritishBiker The ships being gunned down has happened to me alot. It wasn't annoying until allies started firing at me. But the best ever glitch happened to me a few months ago, I liberated a fort and landed my troops. Normally when you go into a town after a fort battle, the guard has like 700-800 men and you gotta kill him. When I landed my troops, the guard was just standing there. I defeated him easily and took over the island. This happened for all the rival islands and i beat the game:)
i have just got Manowar in the bettle with Spanish Armada fleet.Now i got a piece of map and should meet Beltrop at small island..Wish me luck..LOL. Im able to steer ship lvl 2 and my skills are deacresed..I had luck with Armada.I had ship class 3 plated brig , with great statistic in gunlying and boarding (7&9), but i needed lot of quick saves, and lot of luck..Honestly i had Manowar now too full crew but it will very very hard,,

If they swing left press the left key if they swing right press the right key. you shouldn't take any hits that way, if they have a lot more crew than you and a higher boarding skill you can still lose though. Using the shift key to feint an attack is really effective.

If you have ships joined to you then you can hit tab to get their stats then enter/return to get a list of commands for them. If you just run into another allied ship randomly then you cannot control them.

Really? I find the actual sword fights in the forts piss easy compared to fights on a ship. You just need to use your skill points to make your fighting skill higher then you'll have no problem, also hire a Boatswain to increase it even further. You can occasionally find the ship sailing in a treasure fleet or armada but the best way to get it is to do the pirate campaign and defeat Beltrop.
Yea I had a fighting skill of 6+2. I wiped my game out early which is why I restarted it. My current fighting is 4+1. I just can't do it anymore with a crew of 540. I guess I got rusty. I do have a Boatswain already which is good. Can't remember where I found the +2 one. Also I can't seem to find those darn treasure fleets anymore! Went up the Golden Way a couple times and didn't find a single one. The only campaign I have not done has been the pirate one. How do I start it?
Also is it to late to start it if I defeated Beltrop's fleet at Chatka? I'm on the last 2nd to last mission I think. The one where you have to take Belflor because of the cannons.

P.S. Have you ever said something to morton's that caused him to get into a "kinda fort fight" with you and he has a sack and beats you with it then hangs you? My friend came across something like that once.
If you have conquered any of the islands for your nation I think it's too late to start another campaign, the agents dissapear for some reason, try at Shark island see if you can still do the campaign, if you can please tell me I'm still working on the game again since I lost all my data. I've not seen that cut scene, I know you can piss of mortons so he takes away your letter or marque and you die as soon as you leave the island from the guns. There's a nice death scene where beltrop kills you.
When you become a Baron the agents dissapear but I found out that if I went to belflor if the french are still neutral that the Governor there will give you a French Letter of Marque. Then the agents reappear and you get to keep the Baron costume. I was trying to become Spanish to get a Gallon one time but I had already taken Costa Sinistra. The agents were already gone. I went to Belflor and got a French Letter of Marque from the Governor. Then I was able to find the agents and I turned Spanish
Sadly I could not find the ship I was looking for. But that is one way to still start all careers as long as you have not made the French mad at you. I still don't know where on Shark Island to start the campaign. Who do I talk to and what do I say? I have gotten Mortons mad at me. But I never got sunk by his guns because I restart to the last save file after that. I had the LONGEST time where I didn't know where to go after. I have seen that scene where Beltrop kills you.
Anyway if you have not attacked the French yet you can go to Belflor and talk to the Governor to get a French Letter of Marque. Then the agents reappear.
I am an great player at this game. Beat the game. However I have never found this ship. I have not played in a while. I had to restart to play over again the quest where you have to get the cannons from the french is giving me a hard time now. I destory the fort in my class 1 armored battleship without loseing any crew but the 540 crew is just not enough for me to take the fort. I need the 850 crew that it can hold. Where did you get it? I can not find it in any shipyards for any nation.
Ermmm, when you've got about a grade 4 ship go to shark island while you have a first mate on your ship. As soon as you leave the island there will nearly always be one or more pirate ships there. Just capture one and take it as a prize then sell it at the islands ship yard and repeat. Builds your rank and money really quickly, I got like 300,000 gold doing it for a while.
Well you don't want to rush into any battles, the first ship is so crap you'll just die. Try to build up your rank doing the easy missions from your chosen nation and get some gold from selling coffee to dead island. When you can sail a grade 5 ship you'll be ready for real battles. you can still fight in a grade 6 but I suggest only fighting other grade 6 ships, try and steal yourself a Sloop if you can.
not trying to take away from u getting the mmow but its not very hard. just put all ur extra points on boarding, u get higher class boats v quick and money cos u can sell them (i am aware of the level restriction) then just beat up beltrop. i have it and i agree it rules :)
No, it's not hard, I'm working on getting it again now since my hard drive crashed. Nothing about this game is really hard, I'm surprised I actually got asked all the questions that I did, I just figured everything out for myself.
you: There's no cheat to get a Manowar, there's a hidden game editor where you can give yourself one though but I don't know how to get it. I've never used any cheats I've never even been able to get them to work XD

Yes, it's very expensive to run. A Battleship is almost as good and a bit cheaper to run. You'll need lots of money to survive. One good way is to go to Tendales and Highrock buying all the coffee from their stores and selling it at dead island then repeating, it reaps in thousands.

Thanks mate, I got the ship from doing the pirate campaign and defeating Beltrop (The pirate chief who killed Nicolas sharp's father) You can't buy it anywhere, it's certainly the best ship in the game though!

Here's a fun little game glitch for ya', when you're fighting a ship, wittle it's health down really low then get in close enough to board, then board it right as another ship finishes it off and destroys it, capture the ship and make it your flag ship then watch as it sinks into the ocean leaving you left steering... the ocean?? yeah, you don't die but you'll have to restart from a save point.
There's a man just called "Stranger" walking around I think it's Highrock and he tells you that a guy on Shark Island wants to talk to you. He's the guy that sits in the tavern there and he gives you information about your father. It's the best campaign but it involves a lot of switching sides.
No, that was just me attacking Costa Sinistra for the hell of it. Omory is right on the far side of the map, I recommend levelling up until you can sail a grade 2 ship though, forts are a bastard to take down, oh and only use bombs, cannonballs are like peas!!

they're at the french island at far right of the map, I think it's Omory, there's 2 but they're at the one which has fort guns. You have to attack the island and capture it then you automatically take the cannons. You may have to get the information about the island before you attack it though..
When you go to Belflor during that mission the shop owner talks about the cannon's. He says while talking about his goods or something. "That and these lovely cannons."
Ahh crap, I pressed delete instead of reply. I didn't know they also had Modernised Manowars in the fleets but then again I don't relly go out looking to fight them :P It's certainly easier getting the MMOW off of Beltrop being that he's alone. Still it's a bloody tough boarding battlem he doesn't fight like the other enemies do.
That is still a very respectable ship :P There is only Modernised Manowar in the game and you get it from doing the pirate campaign and defeating Desond Ray Beltrop. You can get regualr Manowars from Armadas or treasure fleets, but fighting them is suicide.

Aye, the game is called Sea Dogs, I know thre is a sequel but I don't know anything about it, he game "Pirates of the carribean" is kind of the sequel, it's made by the same company and has the same like gameplay.

No, towns can't be captured like ships. It has to be done by order of a governer and even then you still keep your first mate when you capture a town.
Yeah, it's a legend game. An easy way to get money is buy coffee from Belfor and Tendales then sell it at dead island. Racks up just ridiculous amounts of money in no time. As for experience, well just keep sinking ships and doing missions.
That's the BORING way. I do all the errends and then buy bigger ships get my boarding skill up then capture some ships and sell the goods and the ship then go and get another. I have 4M+ =D
you have to destroy all the fort guns (just fight it like you woudl a ship) then dock in the town the same way you normally would and fight the guard. You can only capture it if you were sent to by a governor, otherwise you just plunder it.

If you have conquered any of the islands for your nation I think it's too late to start another campaign, the agents dissapear for some reason, try at Shark island see if you can still do the campaign, if you can please tell me I'm still working on the game again since I lost all my data. I've not seen that cut scene, I know you can piss of mortons so he takes away your letter or marque and you die as soon as you leave the island from the guns. There's a nice death scene where beltrop kills you.

When you become a Baron the agents dissapear but I found out that if I went to belflor if the french are still neutral that the Governor there will give you a French Letter of Marque. Then the agents reappear and you get to keep the Baron costume. I was trying to become Spanish to get a Gallon one time but I had already taken Costa Sinistra. The agents were already gone. I went to Belflor and got a French Letter of Marque from the Governor. Then I was able to find the agents and I turned Spanish

Sadly I could not find the ship I was looking for. But that is one way to still start all careers as long as you have not made the French mad at you. I still don't know where on Shark Island to start the campaign. Who do I talk to and what do I say? I have gotten Mortons mad at me. But I never got sunk by his guns because I restart to the last save file after that. I had the LONGEST time where I didn't know where to go after. I have seen that scene where Beltrop kills you.

I am an great player at this game. Beat the game. However I have never found this ship. I have not played in a while. I had to restart to play over again the quest where you have to get the cannons from the french is giving me a hard time now. I destory the fort in my class 1 armored battleship without loseing any crew but the 540 crew is just not enough for me to take the fort. I need the 850 crew that it can hold. Where did you get it? I can not find it in any shipyards for any nation.

Ermmm, when you've got about a grade 4 ship go to shark island while you have a first mate on your ship. As soon as you leave the island there will nearly always be one or more pirate ships there. Just capture one and take it as a prize then sell it at the islands ship yard and repeat. Builds your rank and money really quickly, I got like 300,000 gold doing it for a while.

Well you don't want to rush into any battles, the first ship is so crap you'll just die. Try to build up your rank doing the easy missions from your chosen nation and get some gold from selling coffee to dead island. When you can sail a grade 5 ship you'll be ready for real battles. you can still fight in a grade 6 but I suggest only fighting other grade 6 ships, try and steal yourself a Sloop if you can.

not trying to take away from u getting the mmow but its not very hard. just put all ur extra points on boarding, u get higher class boats v quick and money cos u can sell them (i am aware of the level restriction) then just beat up beltrop. i have it and i agree it rules :)

Yes, I've heard of the game editor and I found instructions on how to do it but it was too complicated, you can change a lot of stuff around. I think it's fun to just earn the MMOW really.

Yes, it's very expensive to run. A Battleship is almost as good and a bit cheaper to run. You'll need lots of money to survive. One good way is to go to Tendales and Highrock buying all the coffee from their stores and selling it at dead island then repeating, it reaps in thousands.

Thanks mate, I got the ship from doing the pirate campaign and defeating Beltrop (The pirate chief who killed Nicolas sharp's father) You can't buy it anywhere, it's certainly the best ship in the game though!

Here's a fun little game glitch for ya', when you're fighting a ship, wittle it's health down really low then get in close enough to board, then board it right as another ship finishes it off and destroys it, capture the ship and make it your flag ship then watch as it sinks into the ocean leaving you left steering... the ocean?? yeah, you don't die but you'll have to restart from a save point.

There's a man just called "Stranger" walking around I think it's Highrock and he tells you that a guy on Shark Island wants to talk to you. He's the guy that sits in the tavern there and he gives you information about your father. It's the best campaign but it involves a lot of switching sides.

No, that was just me attacking Costa Sinistra for the hell of it. Omory is right on the far side of the map, I recommend levelling up until you can sail a grade 2 ship though, forts are a bastard to take down, oh and only use bombs, cannonballs are like peas!!

they're at the french island at far right of the map, I think it's Omory, there's 2 but they're at the one which has fort guns. You have to attack the island and capture it then you automatically take the cannons. You may have to get the information about the island before you attack it though..

Ahh crap, I pressed delete instead of reply. I didn't know they also had Modernised Manowars in the fleets but then again I don't relly go out looking to fight them :P It's certainly easier getting the MMOW off of Beltrop being that he's alone. Still it's a bloody tough boarding battlem he doesn't fight like the other enemies do.

That is still a very respectable ship :P There is only Modernised Manowar in the game and you get it from doing the pirate campaign and defeating Desond Ray Beltrop. You can get regualr Manowars from Armadas or treasure fleets, but fighting them is suicide.

Aye, the game is called Sea Dogs, I know thre is a sequel but I don't know anything about it, he game "Pirates of the carribean" is kind of the sequel, it's made by the same company and has the same like gameplay.

No, towns can't be captured like ships. It has to be done by order of a governer and even then you still keep your first mate when you capture a town.

Yeah, it's a legend game. An easy way to get money is buy coffee from Belfor and Tendales then sell it at dead island. Racks up just ridiculous amounts of money in no time. As for experience, well just keep sinking ships and doing missions.

That's the BORING way. I do all the errends and then buy bigger ships get my boarding skill up then capture some ships and sell the goods and the ship then go and get another. I have 4M+ =D

you have to destroy all the fort guns (just fight it like you woudl a ship) then dock in the town the same way you normally would and fight the guard. You can only capture it if you were sent to by a governor, otherwise you just plunder it.
