@ArNick666 Retrofitting the headlights basically means, customizing the old headlight to take the same xenon projectors as the new cars use (custom fitting them in). PNP HiD kit in not a retrofit. Also a PNP HID kit is no where near as bright as retrofit, and HID glares compare to stock or retrofit.
how much did it cost all together? i have a 2000 kia sportage on 24's an needa make my own headlights an just wanted a price range.. i dont wanna send it to a shop cus they want wayy to much cuh.?
Man, I love theese lights you make, I have been wanting to do it on my sport bike for quite awhile now, I would love to send em to you, but I deff can't afford it. So I am going to try it on my own.Fingers crossed. an man you got a great thing going here.
Well it depends on the personal preference. Once in a while I use an oven, but most of the time I use heatgun. With a heat gun I am able to control the amount of heat to a specific section of the headlight. In the end though, both methods of taking the headlights apart work.
No I did not sand the backside of the projectors. According to my testing, the sealant bonds to projector really good, because it does not have a smooth surface like the reflector.

Did you sand the backside of the projector to help hold the sealant like you did the reflector?

How did you chromed the shourds?

Using Scpectra chrome HV-T system

how much were the custom shrouds?
racecardriver467 2 years ago
you could just put it in the Oven for about 5 min at 200º F
Instead of taking a risk of damaging your Headlight with the extreme heat so close to the shell....
