I was just watching the news and just found out this guy existed, and I'm still geeking out about it! This kid's got to be the ballsiest, most badass, larger than life, Jesse James MoFo I've ever heard of if my life! I know it's kind of cliched to take the rebel's side, but I can't help it! This guy is freakin awesome! I can't wait for that movie to come out!
This guy didnt just steal stuff, like you're all saying. He was stabbed in the back by the system. He showed that you dont need to live like everyone else, you can be yourself and quite frankly, i think he is a fucking legend.
This jail sentence is just another reason for him to hate the police, im on this kids side all day every day, he is my idol, FREE THE BAREFOOT BANDIT!

Colt has been failed by the system his whole life being stuck with that lush mother, ignored by school systems, and never given proper attention by the local social services, the poor kid shouldn't be locked up. He never wanted to hurt anyone, he even left a couple hundred bucks at a vet's office for the animals. Reform this kid and let him be a brilliant, upstanding member of society because he has the intellect and the heart and obviously he's ambitious too. Free the Barefoot Bandit!!!
