NEVER hit the waves.

you will lose a lot of speed, everything's better than hitting the waves ;)

you allways have to be in equilibrium in any aspect, drag can make you lose some of your velocity, an waves make the boat get out of equilibrium, its better to try not to hav too much drag and try not to

If you're sitting in the back of your boat, the boat lifts out of the water .. then you don't crash in the waves and you don't have so much contact to the water ;)

if he goes to the front too much the nose will dive into the water, a nose dive. so by sitting at back as much as possible the nose gets higher on the water so that is won´t dive

but if you are on a reach in strong winds, you automaticly slide back , just because it feels much better. in the end uve got to find the perfect position for yourself

the helm is sitting right back (with the wind behind him) to promote 'planing' (like a speedboat), likewise sitting forward when beating (into the wind) reduces drag on the boat hull

I think these were radials and they are a little faster than regular if i know right.

Radials have a smaller sail area so they are slower. The women use the radials in the olympics and the men use full rigs.

great performance!!! this is really good sailing you must admit that the videos were made during a strong wind with i think 20-23 knots and i cant believe that anybody of you will sail the laser completely flat i love this boat ;)

I agree the sailing style is quite bad like 2:13 in the radial is poor he needs to focus on keeping the boat flat even if it means dumping the main a bit.
