  • that over there guys is the mighty 600 hp 23.8 litre V12 gasoline engine that powerred , tiger , panther , and king tiger

  • The Maybach had 700 H.P.

  • Its a Russian tank or tractor engine. Hardly any German or Allied tanks used Diesel as they didnt have the ability to stock pile petrol and diesel fuels.

  • Clouds maker :)

  • I prefer the 2-cycle Detroits. Maybe a 12V-149 could give it a run for its money. Still gave it a thumbs up 'cause I like power! Thanks for posting.

  • The German's did not know how to win a war; however, they always did know how to build a great engine. Not too long ago, they pulled a Panzer tank out of a bog where it had been under water for over 60n years and with a little work they got the engine to run again and the tank to operate.

  • those engines are the best!! German power!

  • do u wana fly to ur tank?

  • erwin rommel,erwin rommel,erwin rommel,.......

  • i dont want to see the sky....

  • 1:06 - thunder!! ( The German Steel)

  • i want one this for my pick up

  • this is a dieselengine, so it can't be a tiger engine. it even can't be out of a german WW2-tank, because they all operated with gasoline.

  • @MisterRudolf there was some models with diesel engines...

  • OH MY GOOOOODDDDD!!!! ITS WORLD WAR ELEVEN, RUNNN!!!

  • Танк Тигр как и все немецкие танки был бензиновый.Это движок не от тигра

  • @Seryjjjj Модели были с дизельными двигателями

  • Euro -6

  • @kjkolkowski

On the other hand, highly modified diesel engines found in the sport of tractor pulling run triple-stage turbochargers with up to 200psi of boost do a horrible job of burning all the fuel in their combustion chambers. You have to look no further than to mind boggling amount of black smoke coming out of their exhaust stacks. All that black smoke is unburned fuel despite 200psi of boost.

  • @kjkolkowski

Again, I hate to be argumentative but pressure in the combustion chamber has relatively little to do with how completely fuel burns. Gasoline engines operating at extreme part-throttle happily burn virtually all of the fuel in their combustion chambers despite very low combustion pressures and temperatures compared even to a normally aspirated diesel. They are required to do so to meet emission and fuel economy standards.

  • beautiful sound... German engineering....the best..

  • @928sal The italians budy ..

  • the grey cloud in the sky is from this engine

  • Euro 5?

  • Sounds amazing!

  • No earmuffs... LIKE A BOSS!

  • is this a ww1 or ww2 engine?

  • it would sure me cool if it was attached to an 88mm cannon....

  • Turbo charging a diesel has nothing to do with its high compression ratio. A turbo charger is simply a way of increasing thermodynamic efficiency by harnessing otherwise wasted exhaust energy.

  • @MikeMBMr

turbo charging does not change the actual compression "ratio" because that is determined by bore and stroke only. it does, on the other hand, increase the pressure inside the cylinder. take the turbo off of a turbo-charged engine and it will not burn the fuel completely because of the lower pressure (and thus lower heat) in the cylinder.

  • ai é makina

  • Take a good look you don't often see normally-aspirated diesel engines. Due to the amount of compression needed to ignite diesel fuel, a turbo is usually installed. just look at the bore of the intakes... good god this thing could breathe in your cat and keep running

  • no way is that a diesel, absolutely no way.

  • @MrTubbymarshall of course its a diesel see any sparkplugs you dumbass

  • @302bh point taken, and dont call me a dumbass you ignorant fool.

  • what a beautiful VAG TDI hahahahahahahahah

  • The nazi knew what they were doing...

And , NO , the nazi DID NOT LOSE THE WAR; the german people did!

The so called nazi are doing what they want today in NASA/USA!

You don't have to believe me of course!

    :-)

Just do your own study of history!

    Nice engine!

  • @gabigowriel You lose at the english language.

  • Fit, in a Mini Cooper, I´m shure. KKKKKKK

  • schön

  • how did the germans lose the war again?

  • @dunhillsupramk3 The desire to have too much too soon and several major mistakes, resulting in the huge loss of military personell.

  • Блять да ты заебал газовать, дай ты ему на холостом поработать, послушать как он звучит сука, нет блять стоит и дрочит его ...

  • Diesel? What is this engine? Tiger Maybach V-12 was Gas.

  • @tron2102

The V-12 Dieselengine was a Project that was never realized. The Engine has 800hp and was build by Argus. You can read this at wikipedia!!! ;)

  • @ColinMX82 Hi Colin. Do you own the engine? So was this a motor that might have gone into a Tiger?

  • Heard that the crankshaft machining was so fine that this engine could not be duplicated today.

  • The germanish are good making motors but I am better, Look my video on diesel motor 2 strokes

    ricardo perez

  • is that all you do, just keep reving it up in the middle of a field?

    strange

  • t34 engine.russian.some shermans were diesel and so is our m10 tank destroyer.they also made a diesel radial for our early m4 sherman.we have two pairs of gm 671 diesels and one single and christ do they roar

  • what a heap ,where's a GM WW II Diesel

  • about 10 galons of diesel gone there ;p

  • WWII German technologies were 50 years before everyone...

  • @wdowa94 Most certainly, especially the flying wing design and NASA which was actually WWII German technology.

  • Sounds scary...

  • .... plus: I am NO wrong socalled patriot. I just like big machines ^^

  • But it IS somehow sad, that it's too big to fit in a T3. Well at least if you wanna keep the backspace.

  • are you fuckin crazy .....???? do you see what i see ?? this engine is a monster ..when he toutches the throttle the engine allmost flips over .... mammma mia ...great ...german technology

  • pas mane t-25koj toks stovi

  • Never any diesel engine installed to german tanks during the WW2. All was petrol feeded.

  • Will that thing fit in my Volkswagen?

  • @BillyRosinet Probably, but you wont if it does. ;)

  • @BillyRosinet Yes, but you'd have to do some extensive modification to the bulk head to cope with the size and power.

  • @BillyRosinet you can fit any engine into a volkswagen if you try hard enought

  • @dragonfitter LOL XD

  • @dragonfitter How many gallons per mile? I'm sure I heard the US Shermans took 4 gallons of fuel to travel 1 mile :D

  • She's quite a responsive old beast, isn't she?

  • This engine could pull anything.

  • Comment removed

  • i think that if you put this in your car, your car brakes in half lol

  • WW11!? oh god did i miss the other 8 wars?

  • desicive weapons of WW2 the BBC was an excellent series 3 of the best where the spitfire naturally the T34 first tank with sloping front armour n the us mustang after it was fitter with the RR Merlin supercharged engine believe it or not some Mustangs are used today by enthousiast in usa shows their angines working like swiss clockwork after all them years

  • the only thing the germans had that was diesel were a few prototype half tracks. they

never put a diesel in there tanks

  • @blackwolfofkilmore Your right, this is not Tiger's engine (Maybach) Maybach had filter's where this engine had exhaust pipes. Also as you noted Tiger had always gasoline/petrol engine's, never diesel.

  • @blackwolfofkilmore Also the Junkers Ju86 was an opposed piston diesel engine running on the two-stroke cycle.

  • @1100HondaCB i learn something new every day i did not know the ju86 ran a 2 stroke diesel. thanks for telling me

  • @blackwolfofkilmore Yes it sure did. I am 32 now and at 14, I had a model on the Ju86 and read it had two diesel engines and even I was amazed. I asked an expert and he confirmed it did. I Googled it recently and it had two opposed piston diesel engines running on the two-stroke cycle. These engines gave better range and were quite high revving at 2800rpm.

  • o barulho parece de um fusca

  • Now put it in your van.

  • That is 1940s German art.

  • i love this sound

  • Pięknie warczy ten Diesel, super.

  • Those that are certain this is a petrol, just think, does it sound like a petrol? It doesn't!

  • @1100HondaCB I know what you are saying, however, the sounds of other WWII petrol engines have very similar sounds. I don't know why.

  • @ThouHastEnabled Yes I know what you mean. However, look at some of the give- away features, such as the injectors, glow plugs, high pressure fuel lines and the two injection pumps. These things are sure signs it's a diesel.

  • This is not Tiger engine. Tiger had not diesel еngines. Author, have a drink Strychninum ;)

  • And before you say the ones below - there heater plugs wirred in series not HT leads running from a disdributor

  • Spark plugs at 2.50 ??? Look more like diesel injectors to me lol

  • Strange. Tigers had only petrol engines, but this is atmospheric diesel. And exhaust in tigers were from outside, not from inside. This is more likely to be a boat engine.

  • Runing more smooth, then my car...

  • This is not a diesel engine.

  • Tiger I and II both ran on Maybach gasoline engines. The engine shown is a gasoline engine. You can see the spark plugs close up at about 2:50.

  • @timmytyphoon Rubbish. You're thinking of glow plugs. The guy is controlling the injection pumps on the end so hence it's a diesel.

  • Comment removed

  • Note to cameraman: we dont care about the sky

  • Tigers did not use diesel powered engines.

    60Deg V12 gas Maybachs.

  • Too cool, love it!

  • The Tiger had a gasoline engine did it not?

  • @amlafrance1918 Right! I think the only Diesel Engine in WWII in the German Army was that of the "Puma", an eight wheel armored recon vehicle.

BTW the engine may sounds impressive but was too weak (max 800 hp) for a 55 t tank. It was the same engine which was used in the Panther (45 t).

  • @FRA65 Re diesel engines Germans used, what about the 20 cylinder supercharged engines (x 3!!) in their S- Boots?

  • @goodgodzilla S-Boote would be Kriegsmarine (Navy). But I should have been more precise: The only german tank in WWII which used a Diesel engine was the Puma.

  • @FRA65 You are, of course, right. Amazing to think that 800 hp isn't enough. Great detail, thanks.

  • @amlafrance1918 Yes. Google it. Both Tiger 1s and 2s had V12 petrols.

  • German Steel!

  • MADE IN GERMANY BEST

  • Wow, that engine is scary as it is... now imagine a fucking tiger tank built around it :) I would shit my pants... literally :)

  • DAMIT HÄTTE HITLER FAST DENN KRIEG GEWONNEN

  • ADOLF hitler tank?

  • @ollenhauer1 no Hello Kitty Tank...

  • I Love the twin injection pumps on the front!

  • No dieselengines i Tigers WW2

  • Germans did not use diesel

  • BEAST!!!!

  • wow I did exactly the same with my 1965 VW bus engine, and it also smoked the same !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I want this engine in my 08 corolla!

  • lol....cool video but as the other INTELLIGENT folk have noted, it is NOT a German tank engine of any sort. The Germans indeed did all use gasoline, not diesel. Most were Maybach powered, if memory serves.

I remember getting schooled in this whilst watching 'Kelly's Heroes' many, many years ago...when I too mistakenly thought the Tiger (and other German tanks) used diesel engines. The courtyard scene where the German commander talks about 'gas all over the place'. Turns out, he's right.

  • @bajaman123X then what is it

  • @bajaman123X Oh yeahhhhh, good source of info, we all know Hollywod is never wrong.

  • @superlate97

But in this case correct, although in the film it would have been a diesel engine since they used a modified T34 to look like a Tiger

  • @bajaman123X

take a look for Germany's Maus heavy tank

As far as I know all ohter German Tanks where Gasoline powered. I hope the link would help ;-)

  • @bajaman123X As he said, german panzers never used diesel engines!

Although it may still be a Tiger engine, it sounds far to gas responsive to be a diesel enginge, but I may be wrong.

  • @bajaman123X but Shermans (also gasoline) were called "tommy Toasters" by the Germans

  • @donaldwesleyellis Tommy Cookers...

  • that is not a tiger tank engine im not sure what engine iit is but having helped salvage a tiger tank in poland an seen what was left of engine an that is not it!

  • @methadont78 I am told Tigers had petrol engines and not diesels. The British tanks all had petrols and the Russian tanks had diesels.

  • no diesel!!

  • Lovely 21 000 cm³ V12 Maybach petrol engine :D

  • @ladamanias For god sake, it's a diesel engine! Look closer, you'll see the two injection pumps, injectors, glow plugs and high pressure fuel lines.

  • @1100HondaCB dumb fuck. its a tiger tank engine

  • @plasticspastic201 It's not a Tiger Tank engine. They had petrols and so did the British tanks as petrol engines were seen to be easier to live with. The Russian tanks had diesels. No need to call me a dumb fuck as you are the spastic.

  • @1100HondaCB it is a tiger tank engine. you are wrong as usual.

  • @plasticspastic201 Like the fuck you know. They had petrols.

  • @plasticspastic201 No it's not a Tiger tank engine as they had V12 petrols. I've researched it and I suggest you do the same.

  • @1100HondaCB

Tho some sources have revealed that in lack of ordinary engines, they adapted dieselengines for use in the tiger...

  • Lovely 21 000 cm³ V12 Maybach petrol engine :D

  • @ladamanias For starters, it's not a petrol and secondly, it's more than 21 liters.

  • ummm fail, petrol/gasoline engine was used in the Tiger tanks

  • NOW EISENMANN EXHAUST FTW !

  • German tanks used gasoline/petrol engines - no diesels!

  • Kupię silnik do bizona: v12 najlepiej tigermotor!

  • it have bosch system diesel indjeksion and elektric..think it are mersedes or mwm mannemheim diesel..or a vater kooled deutz engine

  • one ... two .. however how often i try to count ... I can only find 2 world wars! not 11

  • ciekawe czy pęka tak jak 2.0 tdi:)

  • MMMMM Beasty

  • The gas response is awesome, it must be a petrol engine.

Further - IT IS A PETROL MECHANIC INJECTION ENGINE! (like Messerschmitt-109)

I do have heard the T-34 LIVE and this is not that one.. it is not a diesel engine.

  • @avant74 That IS a diesel engine! You can see the diesel injectors, the diesel fuel pump and it sounds like a diesel without an exhaust!

  • WW11 Good old Times :D

  • But it works well...

  • Germans has never used a DIESEL engines!!! in their tanks!

  • Only the russians used diesel engines in their tanks.

  • @mrcobus86 So did the Brits.

  • put 6 turbo's on there and put it on a dyno!

  • German tanks were never diesel. they used gasoline. The tiger 1, Pather and Tiger 2 all used the same Maybach engine. check your facts.

  • @tangocharlie11 In World War 11, though, German tanks have finally moved on to diesel engines. The 2500s were a tumultuous time.

  • @sg777778

Hahaha, that comment made my day. :D

  • @tangocharlie11 even the modern Leo2 is a multifule engine, they can run on basicly every flameable liquid :D

  • cubic inches, horsepower and RPM?

  • That is a four stroke diesel, I've only watched it once, was there any radiator underneath? I couldn't see one!

  • Thats a serious engine.

  • The best technology is nothing, if there is no one able to use it... hahahah! That we have seen all the years with the JewSA since 1776... hahahha! they are and reamins bastards!88!

  • It's either WWII or WW2 but it is never WW11.

  • @truthifizer calm down we aint that stupid!) it might be just the engine make, number or somthing like that

  • Cute, but the title needs fixing.

German WW2 Tiger tank was powered by a V12 petrol (gasoline) engine from Maybach.

Claiming anything else is a misrepresentation of historical facts and should be looked down upon. So, shame on you for trying to distort history!

  • @smackbabie This might be from the VIII Maus

  • para muchos el ruido del terror en la guerra

  • WW11^^ LOL

  • @mrNks97 I bet this old beauty is still running in WW 11! =)

  • @mrNks97 OMG how long did i sleap....it's WW11 already
