  • Awesome.

  • This video is exactly what I was looking for. I could have found this info elsewhere, but not as straightforward and well shown. Cheers.

  • can U add more lines(edges) to NURFS?

  • hi...

in my tab choices there is animation polygons etc

    but there is no modeling

u know why that is or if it effects anything?

also i dont have the box that helps u quickly navigate.

the one on the top right of ur view port.

  • was looking fo the nurbs to poly convertion method..thanks !

  • thanks mate!

  • Absolutly Brilliant!

  • Thanks a lot. Really useful info.

I'm learning Maya and your 7 minutes and 9 seconds just unlocked a HUGE aspect of the program.

    Thanks again.

  • I like the way you deliver! Nice, maybe I can learn to speak like you.

  • What are surface patches used for?

  • Thanks man..... Very clear and beneficial.

  • mserebreny,

thanks for the info. See I learn something new about Maya everyday.

  • Instead of all this tweaking you're doing if you select "Control Points" in the convert NURBS to polygons option box it will convert using the Hulls instead of the patches themselves, so when you use the smooth mesh tool you'll get a nice smooth surface and won't loose any of the object's volume

  • That's the trick! I normally made a surface, polygoned it, if it didn't work out -make it again. Very time consuming. Thanks for the tutorial :)

  • Great tutorials bud, thanks.

  • NICE little Tutorial
