For the confused, only brutes, humans, and elites can be infected, and become combat forms. If the combat form suffers a lot of damage and cant fight, or just aged, it becomes a carrier form (ones that hold infect forms). when the flood reaches a large mass, pureforms are created. there are pure stalkers (wallwalkers) ranged forms (bonespike shooters) and tank forms (huge ones). Hope i cleared up some confusion.
