  • 'MY LITTLE F4" GOOD SONG FOR THIS

  • broomstick to catch the string then slow the rotation down to a place to catch it...

  • if you grabbed the string you might be able to grab the string to stop it!

  • Try an oven mit! ha you could at least grab it. Happy Holidays Dave!

  • I had a couple of these... one was actually a helicopter. The main blades just kind of spun for looks, pusher at the back. Don't remember what heli it was exactly. Also had a Phantom and a more modern 747.

  • Sir,

I remember getting and having this particular toy when I was a kid. I also had the F-16 model as well. ^_=

  • Dont let fear and good common sense hold you back, just put your hand in the way! lol

  • Maybe you need safety goggles and gloves

  • ooh, my eyes!

  • I miss lawn darts.

  • i use to have a biplane that did the same thing im 15 and i bought it from north Carolina at a flea market

  • I had one of those F4 Phantom toys as a kid. I used to stop it with a bath towel. Works great to stop the plane without getting smacked.

  • just grab the string above the plane.

  • Now, Dave, You've amazed me with your single bladed main & tail rotor helicopters... but how the hell do you attach a chopper to a piece of string, and it still will fly??? :D

Well, if anyone can; you can!!!

Happy holidays to you and family... and have a great 2012!

    All the best

    Gavin

  • @frogsoda. Actually my christen eagle bipe with a DA120 saved my life by deflecting it into my knee. That plane saved my life but then it crashed and exploded Because the arrow went through the fuel tank and receiver. Either way though. It didnt hit me in the head. I find your comment rude

  • Ummm... Maybe put a glove on?

  • sir.. i am ur fan for 2 years now.. i always enjoy your videos rc planes and rc heli.. my most favorite is fishing w/ rc helicopter and in the plane the EF-2000..i always enjoy watching your videos..eventhought i dont have a rc plane or rc toys.. but seeing your video is enough for me..i dream to have my own plane wen i get my job.. im just 17.. but still dreaming like a small boy..

  • Am I the only one who thought the background music was funny? I'm pretty sure it's the Pussycat Dolls

  • you know, i used to be a hardcore RC hobbyist like you but then i took an arrow in the knee...

  • @rockonmyfriend Shame they missed your head.

  • @rockonmyfriend lol good one.

  • OK. You guys are drinking or smoking.. something :) Not that ther's anything wrong with that!

  • Dave,

    Nice car in the background.

    Dan

  • And i thought rc planes were dangerous {+_+}

  • Merry Christmas ...Thanks for the fun videos......I use to have a different plane like that .I think they had a few different models.

  • How about a remote Off/On switch to a transmitter? :) No serious weight/balance issues here.....

  • looks like it suffers from adverse yaw ;)

  • I would suggest a glove of sorts like the ones you play ball with lol, i had one like that when i was a boy, you dont see them. In the uk much nowdays, probably wouldent pass the british standards inspection for toys lol, mine was a 777 jumbo jet, had 2 props, it scooted!, I used to smack it with a pillow till one day the nylon snapped and it smashed into the wall, in a spectacular fashion :) pitty there was no internet back then it would have made a nice video..

  • A minnow net / airbrake??

  • Nice toy I love the old Phantoms did you ever think about a Baseball glove???

  • wow thats and evil toy O_O hehe nice but evil happy christmas :)

  • I can't believe you still HAVE that! Nothing I had from that era survived! I usually took all my toys apart to see how they worked! Great video Dave!

  • that was lovely. Merry Xmass to you, familly and friends.

PS sent you a PM on youtube, pls check it out.

  • They should bring back this old toy but with a micro inducted fan. How cool would that be

  • You know one made of light foam and a softer sound hung over a babys bed might be the bomb,a built in baby setter, and maybe find some future rc pilots.

  • That is simply amazing!!! I want one!!! *pout*

  • You need a chicken catcher to stop your phantom

  • i had one of them and the heli one when i was kid i think you can still get them if you look around a bit

  • I use to have one of those and remember I would take the broom handle and let it wrap around it like a tether ball to stop it. Thanks for the great video as always.

  • Sweet 28 Ford You Have

  • Dont cha wish ya girlfriend was hot like me!!! lol

  • hahaha

  • luv the music

  • I had one of these when I was a kid. It was a Concorde. It was a bit larger but had a smaller prop, maybe 2? and a rubber nose. It was so much fun. I have a micro F4 that might just get this conversion! Merry Christmas Dave!

  • Ha! Very cool, I have two of those somewhere in my attic, an airliner and a fighter jet of some kind (I forget witch one) from back in the early 80's I think. To stop it I used to duck under and then stand in the middle and grab the string as it went by, worked every time with no hassles :-)

  • oh wow, im laughing now, that was good, be careful tho! hahaha!

  • baseball mitt or a cardboard funnel into which it could wedge itself.

  • You can also use an oven mitt or a baseball mitt to catch the toy.

  • come on Dave that was not one of your best.......I did laugh though so I thank you

  • hahaha.. Good way to catch!

  • Takes me back to when I was alot younger and had one of those!!! Great vid and Happy Hollidays!!!

  • Have you tried using a butterfly net to catch it? Imagine if they made pinatas that spun around like that...

  • All my planes and heli's are R/C and fly every weekend. Been building them and flying them since I was about 4 with my father, 34 yrs flying and never going to stop! I have a heli that flies on a string off the ceiling for my cats to play with when i'm away.

  • That was great! You don't even need a BB gun to put your eye out!

  • I remember those videos u did on that disney air shooter last year......cant believe its been 1 YEAR!!!.....man, time flys. Nice toy dave.....maybe if u put a remote switch on it or something lol

  • @flyingchimp99 Hey you have a good memory. Remote switch... Hmmmm? Good idea, but it may be to heavy to get off the ground! LOL. I guess I could always make an EMP gun too. (ElectroMotive Pulse) It would shut it right off with one shot! Happy holidays to you and thanks for the comments. ~NightFlyyer~

  • @NightFlyyer what if you put some sort of click-on-click-off switch on the nose? then you hit the nose and it clicks off

  • @NightFlyyer EMP? that would fry the electronics in it and anything around it. carefull there dave. lol. but very sweet toy. now all you need is the U-control balsa planes. now theres something to spark everyones memory

  • Dave I absolutely love old planes and and other forgotten flying things that spawned this hobby, more topics like this plox

  • @shoopwhoopX Thanks very much. I am happy you enjoy those old things we played with long before video games and such. To not repeat the past, we must know the past. Happy holidays. ~NightFlyyer~

  • aaaahahahaha thats hilarious

  • @RcUniverseGuy Thanks. Glad you got a chuckle. ~NightFlyyer~

  • Thanks for putting the Christmas in the holidays! all your vids are great!

  • @javamochacocoa Thank you kindly for that. I appreciate your comments and hope your holidays are happy too.

  • Happy holidays Dave!
