Zefron is definitely the most talented of the HSM cast. But I try not to talk about the least talented because they all had strengths and weakeness. IMO, Monique was never allowed to shine in the HSM movies. She was the Sassy Black Best Friend. She never sang or danced. She was just there. And it's a shame.

Maybe that's simply because she didn't have a very important role in HSM. Zac, Vanessa and Ashley seem to be the only ones who are still quite famous now, after the end of the HSM series because they had the main roles in the whole thing.

Often times good roles with good character backstory don't get written for us black girls and other women of color which totally is a shame because monique got talent

I never understood how an actress who was famous for being a singer-dancer-actress in a musical could be considered an amateur dancer???? She got paid for HSM, she's a pro. Her director on HSM is a famous choreographer and I'm sure he taught her a lot. At this point she is either a good or bad professional dancer but doesn't belong on this show. I am sure the stars of MGM musicals are rolling in their graves. With that said I think she's hot and has awesome legs.

No. That was a stupid thing you wrote. Actually its like knowing blues guitar and knowing rock guitar. Two different styles, same medium, and the training is VERY similar. If you know one it is easy to pick up the other. Dancing is not like throwing the shot put, its like dancing. Give yourself a F for today and read a book.

Erm mate...How many styles of dance can you do exactly? Because I'm a professional dancer in ballroom, and I came from the streets, so I know hip-hop and breakdancing, and I've trained in contemporary and jazz for the past 5 years. Let me tell you something, the training is VERY disimilar, and NO, if you know one, it doesn't mean you can easily pick up the other. Some people can, others can't.

well, actually, getting paid for something does make you a pro. you can't compete in any amateur standing competition for anything if you been paid for it. also, she was hired by Disney for a major musical project, so your example is quite poor. there hasn't been a more successful musical in years. she's a professional actress/dancer, no squiggling out of that one. i will agree though, that by historical comparison, today's actresses aren't very good dancers as they were long ago.
