Not that difficult a call. It was easy to see he did not a pair of kings or a pair of aces. He might have had a pair of 8s and a better kicker, so it was a risk, but it was easy to see Tran did not have anything special. Good call anyway though.

i have to agree. the CW is that hellmuth was good against the old style mostly uneducated amateurs, etc. and can no longer compete, that he only won back when the WSOP had a couple of hundred players, etc. well, this year he PROVED them wrong. I dont think it was a particularly hard call. So he represents 2 pair/ flush draw on the flop. K comes on the turn and Tran bets big. At this point he probably doesn't have a flush draw since he could be easily chek raised all in. Then the river comes out a club.
