  • It's on 1280x720 rather than 1920x1080

  • hey how do u get smooth frame rates with everyting maxed out? because even the asus g74sx with 3 gb of gddr5 gtx 560m laggs.. ?

  • =\.... 720p.. i rather have 1080p and medium settings. U can tell a big difference between 720p and 1080p I have the same laptop as you, haha I like 1080p more, how HOT does ur temp get for GPU when u OC to 810?

  • @jerry0o8 I OC mine to 750 for GPU and i get 85 temp already

  • will it run on my:

    INTEL QUAD CORE I7 2670QM

    3GB ATi RADEON 7690M XT

    2TB HDD

    8 GB DDR3 MEMORY

    17" FULL HD LED SCREEN

    WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE SP1

  • @SirRunescapeLoL For Sure! high to Ultra in 720p!

  • Is this laptop a good buy? I'm looking for a good laptop and I can't go over $1300.

  • @FutabaKIKS Yes, I have this laptop as well and its been completely amazing, buy it.

  • Oh yeah?!?! 310m I7 1.7 ghz 720 by 480 30 fps ave so suck on that (all low)

  • @leet413 will it work on my:

    Windows 7 64-Bit

    4GB DDR3 RAM(8GB MAX)

    ATi Radeon 6470 HD M 3GB

    500 GB HDD+128GB SSD

    INTEL PENTIUM P6200 2,13 GHZ

  • Comment removed

  • @SirRunescapeLoL Yeah! your probably going to get 25-35 fps in 720p on High settings!

  • Is this the XN1?

  • @WBH9 yessir

  • I was about to post and say how that fuck do you get this awesome of performance on this laptop, I could not get that if I overclocked the machine to melting point. Then I realized you were on 720p and not 1080p. lol

As a side note, is anyone else finding that this laptop lags at 1080p in BF3 sometimes but not others? It is weird, I can be playing for a few hours with weird visual lag and then all of a sudden it goes away. Could it be the server? My CPU not being able to support large games?

  • To everyone watching this video, do not buy asus, they have the same quality as an acer, so you might gonna have lots of issues with them, and the support isn't the best, so if you want some good quality laptops, with good battery, just take samsung or dell!

Bought this asus, got lots of problems with it,and im not alone at all, then i bought a samsung, it has an incredible autonomy in battery mode, and it seems to be way better built than asus.

  • @gianhet i personally haven't had any issues with mine yet. (knock on wood) i also purchased mine through newegg, and i had purchased the extended warranty through them as well.

  • @leet413 i guess you had luck, but i just tried to make people aware of these issues on asus products ^^

  • @leet413 Would i be able to run BF3 on this?: ASUS G53SX-SZ016V 2:a gen Intel® Core™ i5-2410M Processor 2.3 GHz8Turbo up till 2.9) NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560M 2GB GDDR5 VRAM 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz mine & 500GB 7200rpm HDD, please answer!

  • @ErikFortress I think it would run just fine at 720p, on medium to high settings!

  • @leet413 Sweet, maybe getting this a month or a couple of days after christmas :D

  • planning to get this laptop.. how much battery do you get unplugged...? with like just movies and videos...

  • @bavarianfilled maybe an hr and a half to 2 hrs, set the power4gear to entertainment mode and it should last a good amount.

  • @leet413 thanks for the reply

  • @bavarianfilled I dont advice you to get this laptop, im experiencing lots of hard drive issues, and now when i plug the power, it doesnt even work anymore, and i saw lots of people also had harddrive and power issues, so try to stay away from asus, there are lots of problems with it ...

  • @gianhet really...? have you tried with the warranty and stuff...? im still in the process of choosing between this, m14x, or msi 680....

but i think because of your advice, m14x just got one point up..

  • @bavarianfilled Im gonna send it to warranty, but i havent heard good things about the asus warranty, so as i need it to work, i might buy another laptop but not asus, my bro also bought a asus and he got problems with his cd reader, so i think i'm not gonna buy asus anymore ^^

  • @gianhet thanks ill take this into consideration., i guess thats just plus points for the m14x then...

  • Shall I get the G73JH or this one instead?

  • Thats it i am soo getting this game RIGHT NOW on my g53 sw

  • Good I'm getting 560m so I don't have to overclock because I dot want to fuck up the laptop.

  • Can you tell more about the overclocking the gpu ? like Heat , cooling ,etc ..?

  • @JeddahTechKid so what i do is use a standard walmart laptop cooler it works nicely, and my temp only maxes out at or around 91 C

  • @leet413 91 C? lol u can fry an egg.

  • @quangluu96 yeah. true haha but it will not go any higher for some reason....not like i want it too

  • @quangluu96 the 460m can handle 110 degrees so it's ok

  • @vChipGivesThemSight hmm are you sure? Where is the source for this? I am scare of frying mines lol

  • @leet413 do you have asus (all shitty power4gear etc) software installed? I have a plain Win7 install, with mandatory drivers and my notebook (G53SW with GTX460M) runs rather on low/mid settings. Don't know if this soft can improve performance a bit :)

  • @Zavaster well, you can get the same results by going into the control panel and adjusting your power preference, i just like the power4gear for the added convenience since i bring my laptop to school, and a touch of the button will make my laptop last 3 hrs rather then 1 haha.

  • why the fuck isnt this game on steam WTF!!!

  • @killerozman ea and their bullshit that's why

  • And then u get about 30min battery I'm guessing.

  • @Doouzey yes, haha

  • if u use battery still this smooth?

  • @waqiyuddin12 no, but if you use this program named "throttle stop" it shall correct that problem

  • I'm playing with low settings on an ASUS G53S and get slight screen lag! I'm running windows 7, gtx 460m, i7-2630QM @ 2.00 Ghz, 8GB RAM -- what seems like your setup and ultra is just impossible to manage!

  • What resolution?

  • Which version of graphics driver do u have now pls ?

  • @MrGarryMod 285.38 highly recommend it.

  • @leet413 Can you help me man pls ? I have just downloaded that driver but cant install it says something when it check compatability and then it cant find grpahics hardware... I have got Asus g53 sw too

  • @MrGarryMod go to Asusrog . c o m / forums/ --> G Series Notebooks --> G73/74/53 Series Driver and Application Reference --> scroll down to the driver section and download the video driver 285.38 and install.

  • @leet413 You are GOD for me !!! Realy thanks !!!

  • @MrGarryMod

Yes I'm running that, I've also tried other drivers. I ran 3Dmark11 yesterday and it threw a E-OUTOFMEMORY error (OC'd at 810). So I ran a memory test yesterday and it threw no errors. Anytime my mem clock is overclocked to 1600 it instantly artifacts, this is without anything graphic intensive.

I am totally stable at 780/1460/1560 max load I reach 84c so maybe just have a weak card? I think I'm going to try a full reinstall.

  • I just got this lappy from Newegg last week! Loving it so far, but I'm having OC issues. With Crysis 2 I cannot OC the core past 780mhz or the driver crashes after a couple of minutes. If I put mem to 1600 my screen instantly artifacts, this is without running anything. I was able to run 3Dmark11 at 810/1620/1520 with a score around 2300 but I have not found a game that my lappy will run stable with those settings. I'm hoping it will run BF3 with those clocks on the 25th :-)

    Any thoughts?

  • @datiyeh did you update your drivers? i believe they added overclocking stability for the latest.

  • how do you overclock the gpu and does it get overheated if you do

  • @Daaaaviiid1 if overclocked too much, you might see artifacts, meaning your clocks are too high, which will eventually fry your gpu. so yes overclocking can overheat, but only if done incorrectly.

  • Curious how long you have had your lappy and if you have repasted. What are your temps when gaming?

  • @datiyeh had my laptop for about 2 months now, i have not repasted. runs pretty well @ max load hottest i have ever seen it was @ 93 C

  • ive noticed that when i play games with the laptop plugged in the game will perform much better, is it the same with yours?

  • hahaha, im excited, i just got this laptop, but the beta ended. I'll add you on steam or origin if you want. I like your videos btw, they inspired me to buy this laptop.

  • @wiesofthejungle thanks, that means alot and my origin is leet413 (i think) haha. and yeah my laptop does the same exact thing. wonder if there is a fix, haven't looked for one yet. see ya around.

  • how much ram do you have 8 or 12 ?

  • @zuluboy5790 6, haha

  • @leet413 er difference is amount of memory and from what im told 12GB is over kill unless you program and game at the same time lol

  • I get 30 outside and 50 fps inside same laptop

  • @unknownchanel nice, roughly what i get :D

  • i have the same notebook and with my settings on ultra it couldnt handle. will the new driver update fix it?

  • @TheJbianchi1 what where your resolution settings? i can run it at 1080p but with low to mid 20's i no likey

  • So i bought the G74 with the 560m, is there a way to allow MSI AB to adjust the Core Voltage or is that controlled by turbo boost...

  • @Mitchell9oh5 almost certain that the turbo boost will handle that, if i were you i would look into a program called ThrottleStop, i have not tried it yet but it prevents the cpu from throttling back, it will stay at 2.86 ghz

  • can someone help me with the install of msi afterburner everything goes great until it trys to copy something into system32 at the end and just keeps copying....

  • @Mitchell9oh5 do you have the 64 bit version and did you try to run it as an admin? also try the compatibility mode.

  • Ordered the g53sx with the gtx 560 will it be just as good

  • @Daaaaviiid1 it will be better., because the 560m is 10% better then the 460m. and my 460m with the overclocking is maybe on par with the 560m. good buy, i wish i waited a month to get the SX model

  • @Daaaaviiid1 No. The 560M in the g53sx is gimped, so it really only runs about as good as the 460m.

  • @xA1Mx i never got why companies would do this.

  • Looks awesome! Ordered a ASUS G53SW-SZ190V two days ago. Should have it in at least two days from today =D

  • @erikande17 awesome :p you will love it, good luck man

  • @leet413 I do. Been playing BF3 in 1280x720 all medium settings with a decent FPS. And it wasn't overclocked then :)

  • how did u overcome the driver issues? I cant install any new NVIDIA driver cuz asus has some customized driver for their laptop.. i am stuck at 266.86 i thk

  • @tmdeathscythe go to Asusrog . c o m / forums/ --> G Series Notebooks --> G73/74/53 Series Driver and Application Reference --> scroll down to the driver section and download the video driver 285.38 and install.

  • @leet413 Awsome I was just looking for that information...

  • Thanks for this video! I'm planing to buy this laptop, and dident think that the 460M would be this good.

  • @wick3d85swe it isn't. He is playing on 720p. I also have a g53sw, and can only play on medium/high settings.

  • How didi you make to install the Driver for Battlefield 3 ? When a tried to install it a got the error message that say that the graphic card is not found.. help me please :( !

  • @MrSpecko google the drivers for the card.. google "bf3 drivers" ull find one for ati and nvda. Download the one for ur card and go to control panel uninstall ALL of the files of the current driver, restart the comp and install the new one. it should work.. lemme kno if it doesnt

  • How well could you run this game without overclocking anything?

  • @TheGoofyLoofy i would say it gave me roughly a 5 fps gain
