great home studio, I have similar set up at home, only thing, if you can move your desk away from corner, corners are bass traps, and open monitors a little bit more for better stereo image. it really improves mixes.
@lompar what up bro no not entirely but in one more year im going to make it sow for know im getting some cash off it but it all goes back in to it i'm also doing my own videos i have some new material i'm uploading soon thanks for watching dont forget to subscribe and like this video
Your Booth is nice but it wont do you any good without your Monitors STANDING on the Auralex the way they SHOULD...plus why do you spend tons of time and Money on the Room Treatment for your Vocal Booth but zero Treatment for your Nearfields/Monitors?!?!?!
@Raydensheraj actually, having the tweeters and bass at the same level is BEST...why do u think some of the most expensive speakers in BIG studios lay them sideways?? when u stand them up straight the frequencies are seperated, isent that obvious??
STELL MAL DEINE MONITORE IN RICHTIGE POSITION BEVOR DU IRGEND EIN VIDEO HIER HOCHLADEST UND NUR SCHEISSE VERBREITEST UND LEUTE MACHEN DAS NACH WAS DU DA MACHST !!!!!
excuse me but have u done something for the sound treatment ?cause the desk is close to the wall and no bass traps somewhere! And dont mean about the booth but for the place make your mix!

Really nice vid bro, what kind is that volume controller for your studio monitors ? I really want to find a nice one and it looks really good :) (the thing under the right side of the screen with the lights)
@PJ7980 Its called "Apogee Duet." Its an Audio interface, controls the gain of the headphones, speakers, and Mic. You get better audio quality. Works great !!
@JPrandy1 Hey man great video. Been doing music for a little bit but im thinking of getting more serious about it. I was wondering what camera did you use to record the video first of. Take it easy man
@RoyalsTour For the video i used the 'Kodak zi8.' ... its very good for our interviews and good to film our work. For our Music videos we are going to stat using Cannon T2i , But for our photography i have the Nikon D40. Good luck man.
Hi thanks for sharing your studio set up. Nice and tidy. Q: How do you run your cable from the mic to your Mac - is it through the wall or under the door? Also that soft box for the light is really scary - seems like a fire waiting to happen. I hope you sort that out soon.
@fffunky1201 No problem on sharing. Thank you for watching man. The cables run through the wall, that way the doors doesnt interfere with the cables.
And the softbox does looks scary, Lol ! but it was some quick set up before making the video, because i say that light is bright, i really ment it. Lol !.. But stay tune, soon yull see the whole set up again, with many changes ive done to it. Thanks again.
@MelonHead1848 Yes, it would. But it works wonders, i no longer have this though. The softbox now is better, looks & fuctions better. You do whatever it takes on saving money man. Specially if you're creative.
dope setup, i like a lot how you presented your studio. the only thing i would say is remove the built-in pop filter from the mic and use just the one you bought (unless you just had it on for display.) hope to see more soon!
It's all good however, 1st don't sit in the corner. bad for mix.
your station is small, and the speakers are less then 5ft from your therefore put them standing straight, pointing to the sweetspot (the place your head is when you work) and not on the side. it's importand for your stereo imaging while mastering.
other then that, you got a studio i'd be happy to "waste" my time in... :)
@harrisonastonmusic whats up man thanks for watching and yeah the budget that i had for my home studio was 4,000 but ended up at more then that but it was worth it ones u get some gear u will always get more it turns in to a sickness but a good on jajajja take care man n have fun with ur music
@wickedrums i will jajajaja thanks na the light give up very low heat but i no longer have that i made a better softbox for it u will see on my next video thanks bro
hm...one tip for you...you should remove all equipment and table from corner...cuz corner is place in the room where live wrong bass picture...you get wrong picture of your bottom end...and bottom end is most important thing in good mixing and mastering...i don't know if you understand what I mean...you have great studio gear man but belive me - acustics are most important thing to get good sound...not only good monitors ;) sry for bad english,I just want to help
@croatianthug Thank you for the tip and your help man. That why this video is here, there could be a few things i miss out. Yes, i knew that; the corners do place a differece when im mixing or mastering. But this right here is temporary. The station was set this way for the sake of this video. But i used to have the station where the booth is at. And my bottom-ends used to resonance better. Thats why i have the basetraps in the corners. But all depends on how you tweek things up.
@psydust yeah i know thanks for the help though when i did the video i was seting shit up that day and it pass my head because i wanted to do the video i will be doing a fallow up vid for this one stay tune and thanks for watching
@2ninja4uman thanks man i try to be as cool and helpful as i can if you ever need some help let me know SUBSCRIBE hit those LIKES for me and stay tune i have tone of stuff coming for this year my studio has done a 360 in terms equipment and looks thanks for watching bro
@Tritonprince We thought of that, but right now is not necessary because we are constantly moving from the station to the booth. It does gets hot during the sessions, but is not somethings that bothers. But that is one of my major concerns, because im planning on putting a small monitor in the booth for we can have better track of what we are doing during the studio sessions. Right now we just have a Mic in the station, so the person recording can obviously hear me.
@Tritonprince I know everyone has a different taste on software. Some get intimidated by the look of the whole workspace. But i personally love Logic. I Run on Mac. So i use Logic Pro 9 Studio. But My Buddy Melky has Windows, he use Adobe Audition & Fruty Loops 10. Once you know what you are working with, yull feel confortable with any software you choose. between all these, It depends on how you want to make your life easier with the many dif. features that others lack.
You actually have alot of stuff im was going to put into my studio. Now i see some of the stuff i want i think im might actually go forth with this. Thanks man!
@dhump415 yeah i did i have a deferent set up now that day i did the video to put something on my channel im going to make a new one soon but thanks for the tip and thanks for watching
oh yeah check out the rode mic channel...they do a series called "rescue my studio" they have some cool tips on how to position speakers and how to get the best acoustics in your studio...thats in reference to burntbaby's comment about incorrect speaker set up..peace
@biundo89 The song playing is called "Chicuelo." by the latino band that go by the name of 'Chambao.' It very easy to find this kind of music. But can find their album on Itunes. The album is called "Poquito a Poco." If you are really into it, really recommend this album.
Your monitors are positioned incorrectly. The tweeters are supposed to be on the extreme sides aimed pretty much around where your ears are, while the larger drivers should be in the middle. just a heads up.
@buntybabydoll433 Also you should consider putting your monitors in the upright position. The only reason why studios have monitors in the horizontal position is if they need to see out into a booth. Horizontal monitors produce more frequency/phase issues then the vertical set up.
@QuantikMusic true. but i was talking from the standpoint of the HS80's. they're a lot more useful when placed like that.Thats why every pair of ns10's and hs80's you see in any studio are almost always positioned horizontally.
obviously there will be exceptions based on personal experience and context.
@buntybabydoll433 That doesn't matter, really. Because placing monitors on their side when they are designed to stand up straight is something you don't want to do at all.
@zaiivonhest thanks man the apogee is my audio interface is my sound card. is what makes the connection from my MIC to the recording program that im using (LOGIC) it just makes the sound quality much better going in and coming out
Just a tip, if you are laying your monitors like that, you would want the tweeter to be at the outer side and the LF speaker on the inside. Everyone knows this...
Increible tu Home Studio oye cuanto te costo la Imac aca en mexico cuestan unos 3 mil dolares yo solo puede comprar un Hp all in one jajajajaja cuantos años tienes hermano solo es duda un saludo desde mexico
yeah das good on the HS50s buuuut they're not designed to be on their side....your mixes are going to sound weird as you move around your listening space since you're throwing it off axis. Just saying...but great set-up tho man
Oye Papa!! Q Paso mi hermano? Yo, it broke my heart to see those beautiful Yamaha HS80's in your crib...why? Because I just got rid of mine & now I miss them!! Great, great monitors bro! I've tested them against Dynaudio, & Adam 7x's, as well as KRK's & they're just as good. They have a clean, almost flat frequency response. You really gotta get your mix skills on to make them sound beautiful. But they do...If you can, spend $150 on Audio Technica ATH M50 studio monitor headphones..VACAN! 4 real
I think I'm gonna make my home studio EXACTLY like yours. Just got a NI Maschine!!! Working on the rest!!!!!

@JPrandy1 Please tell me the name of the song on the background.I like that kind of spanish music, but i really don't know how to find it
biundo89 2 months ago
@biundo89 The song playing is called "Chicuelo." by the latino band that go by the name of 'Chambao.' It very easy to find this kind of music. But can find their album on Itunes. The album is called "Poquito a Poco." If you are really into it, really recommend this album.

Your monitors are positioned incorrectly. The tweeters are supposed to be on the extreme sides aimed pretty much around where your ears are, while the larger drivers should be in the middle. just a heads up.

@buntybabydoll433 thanks bro
JPrandy1 3 months ago
@buntybabydoll433 Also you should consider putting your monitors in the upright position. The only reason why studios have monitors in the horizontal position is if they need to see out into a booth. Horizontal monitors produce more frequency/phase issues then the vertical set up.
QuantikMusic 3 months ago
@QuantikMusic true. but i was talking from the standpoint of the HS80's. they're a lot more useful when placed like that.Thats why every pair of ns10's and hs80's you see in any studio are almost always positioned horizontally.
obviously there will be exceptions based on personal experience and context.

@buntybabydoll433 That doesn't matter, really. Because placing monitors on their side when they are designed to stand up straight is something you don't want to do at all.

djmarkian 3 months ago
Just a tip, if you are laying your monitors like that, you would want the tweeter to be at the outer side and the LF speaker on the inside. Everyone knows this...

yeah das good on the HS50s buuuut they're not designed to be on their side....your mixes are going to sound weird as you move around your listening space since you're throwing it off axis.

4 real
