I think the two quotes below from the song are Paul's to John.

Great video but I'm pretty sure this song had nothing to do with John. In fact I think Denny Laine was the primary or at least co-writer writer on this one. Great song, very Beatle-esque. I wish they had made it longer by extending the solo at the end.

@rodneyracoon One of the lines Paul does take credit for is "It's only me" which is a famous John anecdote that Paul has a special affection for even now. During tense times John would lower his glasses and say to Paul "It's only me." And now Paul is saying it back to him in the song. They're all over each others solo songs.

1971 was the fight (See RAM - album and Too Many People) and John's response "How do you sleep"

This song was done in 73, long after they had made up. Thanksgiving of 76 McCartney was hanging out at the Dakota with Lennon watching Saturday Nght Live abd thought about going down and taking up Lorne Michales on his $3000 offer.

I was watching that show and part of me still hates them for not doing it.

If you watch the video you get that it was Paul's song to John.

Folk, this is not a Beatles song, it is a Paul McCartney and Wings song from the album, "Band On The Run." There is no connection between this song and John Lennon, and I have no idea why the person who created the clip chose to use photos of Lennon (who had nothing to do with the song) and McCartney.

@rclarkbow That isn't true. John denied many times when he was still alive that they ever were enemies. After beatles broke up and all that stuff,they were in bad terms,true. And pretty childish too... But later on-in the 70es- they made up, even played some time together,phoned several times and so on. Maybe they never got as "intimate" like the time when they were in beatles but friends they were anyway. Ask Paul if you want to
