  • "remember, in almost all tailwind icing accidents, the 'cockpit' hits the ground first". LOL nice closing statement.

  • Thank you for uploading this. I think it is very useful.

  • This video, shown to Colgan pilots as part (or all) of their icing training, may be a partial cause of the Continental (Colgan) crash in Buffalo in 2009. The pilot reacted as if his plane were in tailplane stall - the exact opposite of what he would and should have done if he realised he was approaching a normal wing stall. The type of plane he was flying is not subject to tail-stall, but he apparently didn't know this, remembered this video, and his mistake killed all 50 aboard.

  • this can b a life-safer!

  • Very good information. I've encountered icing on many occations and this extra info on tail stall was very helpful. Thanks.

  • Great video. Ice boots suck..almost as much as not having them :)

  • jaja! the cockpit hits the ground first!

  • LOL

  • every pilot should see this video and avoid the loss of innocent lives. Shame on lazy pilots that use the autopilot during icing conditions.

  • see thats why i hate Boots

  • Thanks for uploaded such a good knowledge.
