When War Games was sanctioned/"staged," why was it "pre-arranged" or "pre-determined" that the Horsemen would lose? Was it a money issue? Reputation issue? Ego issue-or what?
@AngelofAnguish I know this is from a year ago, but I can't resist answering. I think it was a Dusty Rhodes issue as he would book himself to win these things. He won every Bunkhouse Stampede. He was on every winning WarGames team. Dustin (his son) was on every winning WarGames team. He really pushed himself and his son at the expense of everyone else.
Wait...I'm sorry. Can someone please explain the end? I heard the ring announcer say War Machine surrendered but I didn't see how and it seemed rather abrupt..
@TUFprofan the ending was the superpowers and the road warriors gave the war machine a clothesline and then animal took his spike wristband and kept stabbing the warmachine in the head wit it until he surrendered
Great match! Love This old school stuff alot better than the WWE circus crap that we are force-fed these days...Also, what's with Big Bubba and the Dusty-Midnight Rider hand-me-down get-up?
@ezstreete Can you imagine the VON ERICHS and the FREEBIRDS in War Games? In my opinion, if THAT match took place, there'd be NO NEED for the Horsemen vs. Road Warriors and...whoever their tag partners would be.
wow thank u so very much it's good to c old school in your face stuff like this where u can hear rick tell tully to come get some of some i i 4get any who ty man -)
OK. when that promotion became WCW, most of its championships (excluding the NWA World Heavyweight Championship) have officially became WCW championship titles. But don't know when it was official from the NWA.
Was Big Bubba aka Big Boss Man wearing the Midnight Rider's mask?

Has anyone noticed that the Horsemen had a real bad time at the war games they participated in?

Horsemen should have turned on War Machine after... and you'd think Dusty could have at least thought of a different finish when he had to replace JJ

@AngelofAnguish
WarGames was always the "blow-off" match that was suposed to decide who wins the feud.
And the good guys always win in the end.
It's the main event to end all main event feuds, so you don't send the fans home unhappy

None. It was shot by a sports show that a defunct cable company aired. I worked for the company at that time and kept a copy of the raw footage.
