@pauldavisfan I love Ambrosia, especially David Pack, but out of the 10 covers you've heard of this song you have to admit that young Justin Timberlake and Matt Morris did an exceptional job on this song. Matt Morris can really hit the falsetto like David Pack.
When I hear this, I compare it to the Take 6 version. I means, they are redoing that version of this song, so... But, they even begin to come close to Take 6. At best, they don't sound that food singing the lead part,, and the background vocals don't really sound that good at all. When you remake somebody's song, you have to, at least, do as good a job of it as the original person/ group did. But, again, the even begin to come close. This is a pitiful remake of Take 6's song:(

Also, it's only right that the remake of a song is compared to the original (their rendition compared to Take 6's, cuz after all, they remade that version of "Biggest Part Of Me"). And, in my critique, I said their version wasn't that good because, to me, it wasn't! So, there you have it. Tootles:)

@jarbon5 plus this was on mmc about 15 years ago or more. it was a child show , that their stars sing covers of songs made by other artist. it was like school for them but also a job , it prepare them for their careers and future in the music buzz.

Lots of today's music doesn't hold the emotions of the singer, and I think that's sad. It's rare to find something genuine these days, so I listen to the good stuff from back in the day.
I couldnt agree with you more. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and as we started getting into the 2000's I wasnt feeling that... feeling. I stopped listening to the radio around 1996 and continued listening to the artists that were around inthe 70-80-90s to see what new stuff THEY were doing not really into todays artists(even though there are always exceptions) Have you checked out David Packs solo CD?
It's nice to run into someone who appreciates the good stuff. I listen to a lot of my old tapes, CD's and radio stations that play songs from the 70s'-early 90's.

Count me among those who "appreciate the good stuff", as well...although I was born in 79, def have much more appreciation for ballads of THAT era than any of today's crap, particularly Biggest Part of Me...I can see why Quincy Jones named it as one of his all-time fave songs. :-)
Speaking of QJ, I think his song "The Secret Garden" is one of the sexiest and romantic songs ever. He put a great group of male singers together for it. It's nothing like the sleezy/trashy/nasty "songs" by many artists of today, or even during the time "The Secret Garden" was released.
Amen to that...also, while this may not be relevant if you're not a game show fan like me, he also did "Chump Change", possibly the best GS theme not written specifically for one (it's on Q's album, "You've Got it Bad, Girl", which was unfortunately never released on CD in the US)...you can catch it on Game Show Network's late night reruns of Now You See It.
Matt is the cutest thing ever! I was soooo in love with him when MMC was on years ago! His voice is amazing... as the rest of them! Man i miss this show!
