If you want a seriously good condition French Blue one with a 2.5engine let me know I'm about to loose my garage and may need to sell mine? Ask if you want pics.
Unfortunately I had to sell the car to help finance a 66 E-Type. I have been messing with the E-Type exhaust in hopes that I can fine a note that will give me a similar rush that I got from Bell exhaust on the GT6. I have yet to find the sweet spot on the E. I do not recall any loud drone on the GT6. It also sang at 90 mph in 4th. Some may have thought it was too loud but that is what I liked about it. The E has a VERY loud drone between 16,000 and 19,000 rpm (which is around 70mph). Cheers
my mum had a Triumph GT6 mk3 and said the power was very good for a 1970 2.0 litre and when u hit the throttle the back end was all over the place and the speedo always doing the clock - im impressed with this classic car great looks and great sound classic sports car!
This is a two liter, dual carb, straight six from 1968 designed for twisty roads. This original GT6+ has a reproduction sport exhaust that came on the first Brit GT6's. USA required a quiet system. Its power to weight ratio was very good for the time. You of course could drop a V8 into any of these classics but I prefer originality. I sold this car recently. I have several other classic Brits I will post soon. Cheerio
I have a GT6+ that needs refurbishing if anyone is interested

Sounds amazing! What exhaust is that?

Bell Stainless Steel. it was a riot. I wish they made the same style for the E-type.

Fantastic car. I almost bought one, but went for the MG B. Actually one should have both a GT6 and an MGB :)

I don't there's anything unfortunate about owning a 66 E-type. The GT6 was always known as the poor mans E-type anyway.
