  • yeah there is one in the store on the website brother.

  • Hi Kenny, do you have the fletching jig which houses 6 arrows for sale? Will be great to own one =)

  • Hey Kenny If you want TO Try THis stuff Called Goof Off" Whats Great !! Takes Glue Right Off any thing I use it to Remove the Glue from the Window Tint , SO try it OUT BUD !!

  • one thing i've noticed is that archers often have cool/long hair and beards

  • nice vid

  • Great video, as usual

  • Good Video Man! You did teach me something.

  • hey kenny I shoot a 400 carbon arrow with a 80grain tip. I was wondering what is the best to use im currently using 4 inch vanes are they too big?

  • hi Kenny I was wondering if your still answering questions, is distilled alcahol just as good as the accetone. thanks for the vid and keep going. second what is the glue you recoment fot flecthings I use the old fashion fleth tite but dont like it. I shoot features a lot and the middle of them comes lose a lot so Im just guessing that the glue is bad, its also hard to get the right amount on beacause it so thick and just hard for me to guide on in a steady stream. eather too much or too little.

  • @bigmusic39 Yeah your glue is prolly old thats why its hard to use. Regular alchohol will work fine it just doesnt evaporate as fast.

  • Hey Kenny, love your videos brother! I'm just getting into archery and you've helped shine some light on a lot of questions. But here's another...I'm going the traditional route w/a Bear recurve. Do you have a recommendation on the position of the "cocked" feather placement in relation to the nock b/c of the type of rest on the recurve (not drop-away). Thanks, and keep up the great work!

  • @Squidly78 You want to index the nock with the cock feather out also on the side of the nock you will notice a little bump on it line this up with the cock feather you will also be able to load the arrow without looking just by feeling the bump on the nock. You can use several types of rests either directly off the shelf or use a burger button style rest. Hope this helps!

  • @grttaxi Thanks Kenny! Keep the videos coming and we'll still be watching.

  • is there a difference with carbon arrows

  • @2eldon6 no you fletch them the same way

  • Good Video!

"Before I say something that's gonna really embarrass me..." 4:10

    Too late ;-)

What do you think of the EZ Fletch jig?

How much does it generally (ballpark) cost to refletch a dozen arrows?

I have some which are so old that the plastic fletchings rotted!

The aluminum shafts, nocks & points are still in good shape.

They are th wrong spine for my compound bow (I think) so I may replace the fletchings & let my kids use them... if it's cheaper than new arrows for them.

  • i love all your videos.now i can work on my bow and not mess it up. thanks for the help.

  • man i really appreciate your videos...i am goin next week to try an get a job at sportsman as a bow tech. i knew a little but ur videos helped me out alot

  • @will34stew28 Good Luck man I hope you get it!! You want be the first thats used these videos to get a bow tech job. LOL free online training!! WooHoo

  • @grttaxi thnx man im goin up there 2day to hang out at watch them to

  • man i really appreciate your videos...i am goin next week to try an get a job at sportsman as a bow tech. i knew a little but ur videos helped me out alot.

  • could I scrap the fletching off on my wood arrows?

  • Can you re-use the fletchings? I do it, i recycle them, as i think it is a waste if you throw perfect fletches away when installing new ones... But is it safe?

  • @NaxTactical I'm sure its safe just be sure to glue them well they can get stiff on you and not hold very well.

  • @grttaxi Ok; thanks for the tip, love your vids !

  • Can i fletch arrows without using a "fletching tool" ?

  • @Bowhunterswe I would reccomend useing a jig to set the fletchings so you can get them perfect. I sell one on my website thats like $30 and it works great

  • Awesome!

  • an way to remove the fletching with out that tool ?

  • Nope you have to buy that tool from me and only me LOL! Yeah you can use a knife or just try to pull them off the tool makes it easier tho.

  • i think i may invest in doing my own fletching getting better at shoot and i keep hitting the put a hole in my last arrow

  • Kenny,do you use the acetone on carbon also?

  • yeah sometimes I lightly sand the shaft if its the slick kind like the Beman then clean it.

  • Awesome definately going to sub you!!

    Wilson's Wilderness

  • twisting fletch or straight fletching? which is better for target? hunting?

  • great vid as always man. your awsom

  • dude... this is better than every vid of expertvillage put together, this is stuff you need to know.

    *Subscribed*

  • well ur an expert so ill ask u

ok so i hunt with a traditional welch shortbow and flatbow

i wanna buy custom built arrows but they cost too much so i have ann idea

is it ok if i get carbon shafting and attach feathers instead of vanes and use that?

i mean i see no flaws because carbon shafts are better and dont need to be spined

so tell me wat u think

  • Lots of people do this for that very reason. You can even get some shfts with a wood pattern on them they will work great, Good Luck!

  • this is just what i was looking for

  • Hey Kenny, gotta question, I have a bitzenberger jig, and would like to know how to properly put an offset on my feathers?, I have a straight and rh clamp and have always used helical for my bow, my son's bow has a hostage rest and the helical feathers won't pass through w/o shredding the feathers, Thanks Kenny

  • yes man ca u tell me what u shoot at and thanks for making that video for me keep em coming

  • Good video, but i have a question-how do you define the position of the 3 fletches?

  • Its built into the jig, as you turn the arrow it will click to the next spot.

  • Thanks for the quick answer, Kenny! I'm doing this without a jig (too expensive in Bulgaria) and must trust only my eyes :)

  • you can do it! lol cool

  • great vids mate! what type of glue were you using?

  • I use Bohning Fletch Tight it is old school but it still works good

  • Thanks for the tips man. Keep 'em comen'!
