  • Holy crap! He good!!

  • Bravo,Maestro!!

  • holy shit perfect hand co-ordination

  • Great Monica, lose the Liesthong

  • wonderful!

  • Nice I can play this on trumpet ps nice hat

  • I don't know this song but it sounds great! =)

  • This is fantastic! :)

  • @KarenEng And so are YOU Karen :-)

  • nice

  • great!

  • if your playing that , my nob,s a whale

  • beautiful

  • thanks,

  • I can honestly say that I have never in my life heard a harmonica played in a way as beautiful as this! Well done :D

  • Thump Up on this Alli,

My question to You today: How can You stay so long playing covers and no termination from UT?

    Take care,

    Johnny

  • @jazzforJamie hello, sorry, I don't know what means UT. Could you please specify what it means. ?

  • @alliax

UT is misspelled YT meaning YouTube.

  • @Vandrall ok thank you. Then I don't know the answer to the question, why youtube didn't terminate my account with so many covers, but I am not the only one, I know of many such accounts where people play covers and have done so for years on youtube without a problem.

  • H´i Alliax

    Misspelled yeah, sorry for that.

I been playing some 100 videos on my acount since 2007. Suddeny I was Terminated, violation to use others music, 3 times. Had my grandchildren doing jump´s and rollerblades to L Gagas music! Her company did´nt mind that but still I was gone from You Tube, 450 000 visiters for nothing?

Playe´d What a Wunderful World on Trumpet and I was kicked out, 3rd time for me!

You are a Lucky man to still be in contention with no problem.

    Thank´s

    Johnny

  • @jazzforJamie It's strange yes. Do you know of other amateur players to which the same thing happened?

  • @jazzforJamie Hello, might be the country you live in and that your account was linked to. If it's germany, then no wonder. :-)

I have a hard time believing youtube would remove accounts with covers, because there are so many of them out there on many instruments. If I am lucky, then others are even more lucky because they have done a lot more than me in terms of covers. But if youtube terminate my account I will host my videos on my site alliax.net, but they never even warned me, so..

  • that was epic man! :D 5 stars all the way

  • Great job! That can't be easy, however effortless you make it seem. This song has been in my head all day, I don't know why. I'm no expert by any means, but you seem to have mastered playing the harmonica. I'd be interested to know what your connection to this song is, or why you decided to make it part of your repertoire.

  • @mscosmiccat Hello, I have no special connection to this song, I usually play melodies I like once I've found a backing track and music sheet for it. Thank you for your comment.

  • homo

  • @ihatemelissa1 you must be retarded

  • beautiful! thanks for sharing!

  • I like it.

  • i thought i heard a out of tune note in the first couple measures, or is it your verbrato? nice playing btw. 5*

  • Could be. I don't hear it myself but I don't have a good musical ear either.

  • Maybe it's because your musical ear is covered by a hat :P

Awesome playing btw! A nice song, well played

  • Yep, at 0:30. But great performance!

  • @alliax No worries I hadn't heard it either. Must not be super noticeable.

  • You play perfect - I really like it - I played on harmonica, when I was younger - but not like you.......it is great song with great harmonica......

  • this is excellent!! a great song choice, and a beautiful take on it.

  • hey my name is irving too but i play the drums :P

  • The song was not originally sung in star fake. It was sung by a woman in a bare back in the early 1940s I believe. Its on Wikipedia. Take a look and find out just how famous this song is.

  • very nice :)

  • owkee :O

  • tell your mum about it, because I don't think anybody else care about your opinion. At least I don't give a fuck about what your little mind is thinking. You might as well be dead for all I care.

  • If you do not have anything nice to say, than do not say anything at all, because we all here on this video do not want to see your nasty comments, so do yourself and us a favor and go listen to something else, if you do not like this.

  • You fcking ass shit . Nobody ask for your comment on him . You should be commenting on his playing . Asshole sucker fuck off from here .

  • poor little fellar aint you got nobody giving you some attention? Not even a bit? and you have to search in youtube to find a meaning for that pathetic excuse you call life.. tststs a shame indeed that humanity makes such mistakes as you. But i guess you get what you. People actually talk to you.

By the way excellent playing my friend very amazed! I play this song also but not with a chromatic harmonica

  • Trolls trolling trolls...

  • wow,

    very cool! Impressive, well done.

  • A very underrated instrument played by underrated musicians.

  • Nice job. I like the tempo you set on this song.

  • i had a homarnica as a kid neva played anything but blew in it to jus make noise, but dam this guys makes sweet music out of it, i neva new it took sooo much skill to play it , u are very talented dude

  • I think you have some natural vibrato going on here, probably don't need the constant wah. Good job!

  • what harmonica is this one i know its chromatic but what ne?

  • I guess it's a HOHNER Chrometta 14

  • Damn good son!

  • nice thx

  • You GO DUDE! Awesome!

  • Very

  • Hey Man...

    You are genious...

  • good play...

  • well i just heard Ellas song 5 min ago, and i was pretty pessimist about this......but then i was shocked. Good Job. I enjoyed it. Really. :)

  • genius!

  • you're amazing u play so well

  • this is wonderful you have inspired me to pick up a harmonica

  • me too :)

  • i was already inspired.. but i dont know where the hell to buy one from (apart from online) HELP!!

  • Yeah, online or at a local music shoppe--I'd say online is your best bet. Hohner Special 20 marine bands are pretty good, I heard Lee Oskars are pretty good too. A good one is gonna be about 29 bucks. But you could get a set of every key for 44 bucks but it's ten Johnson blues kings which are...decent to mess around with averaging out to a little over 4 bucks a piece. But if you're just starting out I recommend getting a nice one so you know if you're doin it right. Good Luck!

  • your not al jolson... go away i'm not looking for you!

  • You play very well, but you should avoid opening and closing your hands when you play. That's makes wow wow wow sounds which not as good as putting the harmonica in and out of your mouth.

Well, very good overall! Have you learnt hamonica?

  • ....okay, two things. One, he wants the wah wah sound, that's quite obvious. It sounds nice. Putting the harmonica in and out of his mouth would start and stop the sound much more rigidly. Which is not wanted.

Two, he's playing the harmonica. Of course he's learned how to play the harmonica.

    Unless you mean diatonic harmonica.

  • how can anyone take you seriously with a hat like that

  • I wouldn't have thought you'd be one to care about being taken seriously Mr ''PenisBoat''!

  • im a big fan of hats myself and am jealous of that hat

  • Perfectly played! well done well done!! Its amazing! You my friend should be in hollywood!! Follow your dreams!

    -Jess

  • Great song, but I wish you would pipe the MIDI backing track through the audio mix, instead of just recording with your mike... Very good though, 5 stars...

  • I know! He does sound professional. That talent is a miracle of heaven. I never really knew that sang. This is really kinda sad and haunting then joyous, or maybe even all at the same time. And then his looks. I'm telling you he has a lot to be thankful to the Lord for.

  • Sure wish I could play the harmonica. You have the ability to entertain yourself and others no matter where you are.

  • Thanks, try some of my videos on your cats, usually cats are very interested when I play the harmonica, especially high notes, and especially with vibrato, they don't run away, they come, search for the source of the sound, and want to be as close as possible from it.

  • @alliax Heh, my dog likes to howl with me when I play my diatonic. XD

  • Cara vc eh muito bom mesmo, curti muito sua performance nota 10 !!!!!!!

  • The best 2 1/2 minutes of my day. Thanks that cool.

  • Nice - I've had this song stuk in my head for a week, and it was nice hearing it. Thanks.

  • Alliax, blue skies is a great choice of song and the way you play it does the song justice.

Please if you can let me know what harmonica you use. Is it a Hohner Echo?

What key is it in and what key the music?

Also, where do you get you backing music from?

    Cheers, Graytheharmonicaman

  • I have no idea but look at the video ID sAzszeobfWI it is the same video with the sheet music included in the video.

  • alliax your my harmonica idol man

  • i have a touqe just like yours and their awesome

  • I wish more people would play ballads on the harmonica. I like blues and rock but I think the harmonica does a great job on simple melodies too. Very nice.

  • I wish more people played like this guy too. But god almighty what he's doing IS not simple. Regular harmonica is not that simple but THAT That's a chomatic Harmonica! Very hard to play. I only have one good hand. So I know that with my one good hand I can do ditonic but not C-HARP. Sorry to ramble BUT I LOVE harp!

  • HI Great job Is that a super 64 Honner

  • Thanks. No, it's a Hohner Chrometta 14

  • Jesus, you inspire me to get a chromatic harmonica. Can someone tell me whether i can produce that sound using a diatonic?

  • it would take some talent but you could figure it out threw bending techniques

  • You could do it with two harmonicas, for instance using A minor harp for the main tune and a C major for the middle 8 then you only need to bend to an A flat on one note.

  • great, bravo!!!

  • Me encanta como interpretas la melodia. me inspira.

  • you rock
