Someday I'll get to see Havana, with its historic buildings (falling apart) and 1940s and '50s cars (also falling apart). And I'd prefer to see it before capitalism returns and it changes abruptly and significantly. It happened in East Berlin, it happened in Shanghai, and someday it'll happen to Havana.

Don't ever forget that America put Nuclear missiles in Turkey aimed at Russia first which precipitated the 1962 missile crisis! The Americans were led to believe that Kennedy forced Castro to blink and send the Russians home but what they were never told, it only happened after America pulled back its missiles from Turkey! Now America is doing the same old thing in the Ukraine and Poland. Watch for new missiles to go to Venezuela or Cuba as an answer to the Washington Warmongers.

Wrong,Khrushchev was calling the shots in Cuba.Castro was a puppet.He had told Kennedy "WE will bury you". Cuba was just a tool being just 90 miles off our coast. He lied about having missiles in Cuba.We discovered his lies.He then said "I will agree to remove my missiles from Cuba if you will agree to not attack Cuba and remove missiles from Turkey".Kennedy told him "we only promise to not attack Cuba.Take it or leave it". When Fidel let the Russians set up missile bases in Cuba to attack and destroy America,his plans backfired.He doomed his people to life of poverty.He was forced to expel the Russians from Cuba. You are wrong. The missiles were placed in Cuba IN CASE of Future Attacks, you have to remember Cuba was already invaded once that year and there were also tons of sabotages before that. Fidel Castro would never have been that stupid to fire any missiles against the US, it would have been suicide.

Right now I am working on a Master's Degree in International Relations and part of my studies are focused on SA. Althought in the past Cuba had supported, trained and financed guerrilla operations in other countries- since the fall of communism this has changed.
