  • im learnig chinese so this is a great way to learn!!! <3

  • wow her voice is amazing..she sings with so much emotion.

I think she's as good as Ofra..

  • Every time I listen to this version, I can't help but think of the billion people in China who live their lives as little more than the property of the nation's leadership. 亲爱的上帝,请到你的爱和保护的真的自由中将中国人解救于奴役。

  • @KellAnderson Explain to me your statement. I am sure you and millions probably have many problems with the government of China but what you said is a vicious and unfair attack on the leadership that changed China from one of the world's poorest and most malnourished countries in the world after 200+ years of stagnation and chaos into one of the most prosperous in just 30 years. Do not expect from the Chinese government in 30 years what no one else can achieve in centuries.

  • wow it sounds so beatiful in chinese

  • The chinese subtitles for the CD I owned were the most well translated I have ever seen in my life. I only appreciated this movie late in my life ... But I'm glad I did anyway.

  • What a pleasant surprise! :) I thought Mandarin would sound choppy in here.. But it sounds very nice.

  • cuuuuteeee voice of the little girl who sings miriam! *-* :)

  • Yin Ling Wo Men? I think Jiu Yuan Wo Men would be better. =\

  • @xSemperV Well, yin ling is the actual term used in the Chinese version of the Bible.

  • I'd like to know whether a native Chinese can hear an accent here? I didn't notice that my own version (Finnish) wasn't sang by a native and I was so surprised to find out. She's amazing.

  • @LuwBren Same thing happened to me with my own version (Spanish from Spain). She's just awesome.

  • @LuwBren she sang all versions of the song that were made which is incredible

  • i like that her voice is shaking, like shes scared or going to cry

  • Where did you get this? Do you have the DVD in Mandarin? If so, where'd you get it? I MUST have this. ^_^

  • I love this language, and Ofra was amazing.

  • Does anyone know where I can find the lyric translation?

  • I like the female vocals much better in the mandarin versions of these prince of egypt songs

  • the mother makes me think of Eponine from Les Miserables

  • Just pondering...is this version sang by Ofra Haza too?

  • Nope, one of the few she didn't!

  • Sounds almost like her =) just a slight difference in the colour of her high chest voice at the end of "I pray we'll meet again, if He will deliver us" but so darn close that you'd think it really was her

  • I was expecting this to be terrible. It's actually very well performed, and the Chinese singer is much stronger then the Japanese one.

The choir singing this could probably relate more (The Great wall of China).

The translation to Chinese is not bad either. Thanks for putting this up.

  • Man, these debates are really hurting my head. I can't believe I even got into it in the first place.

  • Dude, no good comes from fighting and trying to disprove religion. It's extremely petty and makes you look like an ass - who cares about your so-called 'proof', FUCK your proof and stop trying to denounce one of the most enduring, beautiful, and downright EPIC religions this world has right now.

And, most importantly - if you don't believe in something don't try and force your beliefs down someone else's throat - ESPECIALLY on youtube.

  • "don't try and force your beliefs down someone else's throat"

    'dinosaurONtheRADIO'

Hey as*wipe....how the hell do you think Christianity spread around the world? SHOVED DOWN THE THROATS OF PEOPLE WHO WERE TORTURED MAIMED AND KILLED FOR SUBMITTING TO THE GREATEST LIE IN HISTORY. Remember a little thing called the 'INQUISITION'? They poured hot molten metals down the throats of Native Americans for not converting to Christianity...sh*t!! Talk about shoving something down someones throat! F.U.

  • so now you've fallen to the level of those christians that stuff their beliefs down other people's throats. just shuht up and watch the video. i suppose thats the reason you clicked the link, and not simply to incite an argument

  • @orphan567

"The entire Christian Bible, creation legend, descent into and exodus from Egypt, ark and flood allegory, Israelite history, Hebrew prophesy and poetry, Gospel, Epistles and Revelation imagery, ALL ARE NOW PROVEN to have been the TRANSMISSION OF ANCIENT EGYPTS SCROLLS AND PAPYRI into the hands of later generations which knew neither their true origin nor their fathomless meaning"

    Dr Alvin Boyd Kuhn PhD

    I don't post my beliefs....just facts

  • NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR FACTS!

  • "A study of ancient Egyptian religious texts will convince the reader that the Egyptians believed in ONE God,who was self existent, immortal, invisible, eternal, omniscient, almighty, and inscrutible;the maker of the heavens and the earth, and underworld;the creator of the sky and the sea,men and women, animals and birds, fish and creeping things, trees and plants and the incorporeal beings who were the messengers that fulfilled his wish and word.

    Sir E A Wallis Budge

    EGYPTIAN RELIGION CHAPT.1 p.17

  • knowitallification/

    So?

  • correction...'for NOT submitting to the greatest lie in history"

Bet you get the picture a little clearer now dont you? Probably not ....as*holes are eternal

  • No need to disprove religion, but it's really more likely there is not existing any god.

  • "Egypt is often called 'Kam', THE BLACK LAND AND KAM DOES SIGNIFY BLACK; THE NAME PROBABLY APPLIED TO THE EARLIER INHABITANTS whose type is the 'Kam' or 'Ham' of the Hebrew writers".

  • "It will be maintained in this book that the oldest mythology religion symbols language had their birthplace in Africa, that the primitive race of Kam came thence, and the civilization attained in Egypt emanated from from that country and spread over the world. The most reasonable view on the evolutionary theory, is that THE BLACK RACE IS THE MOST ANCIENT AND THAT AFRICA IS THE PREMORDIAL HOME"

  • Mariam has SUCH a cute VOICE!!!! XD

  • Pity that the very end note was cut : (

  • I didn't expect the chinese version would be so awesome! OMG, and no, that's not Ofra, the singer here doesn't have an accent, and I'm Chinese, I can tell : )

  • Beautiful song

  • Ofra Haza is amazing (i know she doesn't sing in this one). She is hebrew AND SHE SINGS ALSO THE FINNISH ONE. Can you believe it? Finnish isin't easy even for a swedish and not for a english. And then a hebrew? :D she's just so amazing.

    Oh. I mean was :(

    love this version too (:

  • The coolest part is that Ofra Haza actually sings 17 out of the 21 languages that this was translated into! She only opted out of the East/Southeast Asian languages! She was such a talented woman - may she rest in peace. G-D would surely smile on someone who touched so many with something a simple as a song...

  • @firerabbit36 17?? Wow! I didn't know she could speak that many!

  • @firerabbit36 seriously? It is the same woman? That is amazing.

  • @firerabbit36 - I wonder if she have sang our version - czech one. If she had... WOW - I have no words.

  • @CzechKitsune from what I heard, Ofra Haza did sing the Czech version^^

  • "The ripe social and moral development of mankind in the Nile Valley which is 3000 YEARS OLDER than that of the Hebrews CONTRIBUTED ESSENTIALLY TO THE FORMATION OF the Hebrew literature. Our moral heritage therefore derives from a wider human past ENORMOUSLY OLDER THAN THE HEBREWS and it has come to us rather THROUGH the Hebrews than FROM them"

  • .this hebrew singing is not ofra, it's sound to light

  • yeah it sounded different too.

  • Well, I'm just guessing. Did you guys noticed that the voice changed a little at 4:08 ? I was thinking that maybe the Chinese singer (who sounds like Orfa) sang the part with lyrics, and they edited it and the voice from 4:08 was Orfa's. However, a great song!

  • wow this singer sounds alot like ofra

  • I think this song sounds magnificent in every language :D

  • i know its so freaking awsum!

it inspires me everytime i listen to it, no matetr what language

  • It's not Ofra, but this singer sure sounds similar in quite a few places!

  • no matter what language it is,we all have the same God,God knows all these languges,we all God`s children and he will deliver all of us! (i just watched the movie, sooo great =)

  • "Egypt BC 1350.....Osiris was sun-rayed;HIS COMPLEXION WAS BLACK AND HIS HAIR WAS WOOLY. He was included in a slaughter of the innocents ordered by Typhon from which he, of course, escaped. His legitimacy was proved by numerous miracles;some of his doctrines appear in the THE BOOK OF THE DEAD;....he was crucified on the vernal equinox; he descended to hell where he remained three days and nights to judge the dead and rose again and ascended bodily to heaven

    CAMBRIDGE ENCYCLOPEDIA pp.107-108

  • It really sounds like "你离我们" to me :\ It doesn't at the least sound like "引领我们" and unless I can't hear... then yeah, can anyone tell me what it is?

  • Does anyone know where the Chinese lyircs for this song are? Thanks!

  • Is this Ofra singing ? Then she's veery talented when it comes to speaking other languages ! Even if it's not, the one singing really sounds like her.

  • No it's not Ofra Haza who is singing this

  • wait a min was it her???lol

  • she sings all versions of this song

  • no she choose not to sing the asian versions

  • thought no one would sing the mothers part as beautifully as ofra haza did...but this is pretty good...

  • Can anyone give me the Chinese subtitles of this song? Thanks a lot

  • I LOVE the mothers voice in this version. It's on par with the english one!

  • FUNNY! This song is an expression of pain and sorrow of the Jews under the brutal ruling of pharaoh over them. Today the Palestinians would be singing the same song about the brutality of some Jewish leaders over them. I could feel the agony in their heart when they call out "DELIVER US, DELIVER US". Many children are being killed. Sometimes we forget the history.

  • feliz año nuevo un saludo para todos desde concepcion chile

  • I don`t care what language it is so long it`s the moovie, it will always sound good in my ears, and the tears when I hear this song will I fell anyway, this song bring old memories back to me. :]

  • her lulluby is beautiful in Mandarin

  • i'm surprised- thought chinese wouldn't fit here.

    but it's beautiful :)

  • yeah it really does.

  • I guess this is sung by the singer who sang it in the other versions as well? [Not sure]

So I guess that's why it fits ^^

  • hmmm... I know that it's supposed to be deliver us but is sounds a bit like丢离我们 which means abandon us....

  • it's "(你的手)引領我們" meaning guide us (with your hands)

  • Do you happen to have to have the full Mandarin lyrics? I tried searching google based on the bits I could understand, but I couldn't find anything.

  • @TheMoonIsSoBright just my 2 cents worth as a fellow Chinese speaker, in the huge chorus it's hard to hear but it sounds much more like 引領我們. I don't hear the hard d sound in 丢离我们.

  • therefore Kenai3000 i think you're being stupid.

  • i like yocheveds chinese voice a lot, very sad and pretty

  • it's a very preety version, but can't be compared to versions with Ofra Haza (RIP)

  • Dude עופרה חזה שרה את כל הגרסאות:P

  • לא, עופרה חזה שרה 18-17 גרסאות לא את כולן..

את לא שומעת שזאת לא היא?

  • it's ofra singing

  • no it's not!

i'm israeli and i can recognize her accent and voice. she duubbed just 18 versions.. and chinese is not one of them.

  • Sure it can. This singer is extremely similar. I would think that it was her if it weren't for the fact her Hebrew pronunciation is off.

  • totally not.. sorry but I do not agree.. every israeli will say that's not her...

  • I didn't say it was. Go back and read what I said.

  • I know but you said that they're very similar ...

  • update on my comment: just reached the part where the dude agreed with me. Sorry

  • I think it is Ofra singing

  • i dont know who this ofra person is, but i'm sure shes not chinese and she doesnt speak mandarin.

  • The reason that person said that... is because Ofra Haza, the signature voice of Moses's mother, sang this song in 21 languages. Obviously this isn't one of the one's she did. :P

  • one language that'll be great for this "deliver us" would be arabic because the rhythm of this song sounds middle eastern. i'm yet to hear the dubbing of this song in malay.

  • I would also love to hear an arabic version! Maybe someday...

  • Wow. I wasn't expecting the Mandarin Yocheved to be quite that amazing, but... WOW. I'm absolutely stunned.

  • I've always like to see movies dubbed in different languages for some reasons, it kindda shows how people from different background and nations we are, after all, pretty much the same. Thx for putting up so many versions!

  • The singer sound so wonderfully fragile and quiet - lovely work, even though Ofra didn't do the singing.

  • it's ofra singing, actually she sound different

  • Hmm people are debating here if it really is Ofra.. Her or not, I like this version lol

  • wow, seems there are hundreds version with hundreds of different lauguage on here. Thx!

  • Agree! Thanks for sharing.

I wonder if there's an Egyptian version-.-

  • Hahaha..you mean Arabic version XD

And no, they didn't dub it to Arabic. ^__^

  • why no arabic version? you are sure we can not find an arabic version somewhere. I ant to listen to this version

  • It doesn't exist, sadly. Probably because of religious concerns in countries where producers suspected that the Muslim population would be offended by the portrayal of a prophet, or just wouldn't go see the movie. Indonesia and the Maldives banned the film for this reason, so perhaps producers decided that it wasn't worth it to create an Arabic version.

  • Amazing! Thanks for sharing this video!

  • thanks for another version of Deliver Us. i can see u really like the movie. ;) it would've been special to hear Ofra sing in Mandarin.
