This is historically incorrect. Slavery was already a common practice in the world before the discovery of North America, it was nothing new. The vast majority of slaves were NOT abducted by whites (the white slave traders would get killed). Whites bought their slaves from BLACK slave traders.
The colonist life was shit, slaves were NEEDED in order for the colonists to survive. They mostly used indentured servents until Bacon's Rebellion. The economy was bad, especially after the Revolution.

Okay, firstly, the pilgrims weren't called pilgrims until after they came to America. Also, the Puritan pilgrims represented at the beginning mostly were not the southern slave owners. So obviously, this video only takes the worst parts of American history and tries to make it seem like one big event. Sorry, but kind of dumb. I will give 2 stars though for at least some historical correctness, even if it was few and far between.

Actually I am right. I was refering specifically to the pilgrims in this video, who came to America. Pilgrims are just people who travel a long distance for religious reasons. I understand that people who visited the holy land were called pilgrims. Even today Muslims who visit Mecca are called pilgrims. But before they make their religious trip, they are not yet pilgrims. Yes, they were pilgrims before they arrived, but not while they were still in England as this video suggests.

The video specifically said "Once upon a time there were these people in Europe called pilgrims, and they were afraid of being puersecuted, so they all got in a boat and sailed to the new world..." But the people in Europe being persecuted weren't pilgrims. They were Puritans who then left Europe, and in doing so became pilgrims.
