personally i think meowth will return to team rocket in episode 49 or 50 because thats when ash's team will battle team rocket and i also predict the next time ash battles trip it will end in a loss or a draw for ash's and he will not beat trip until the semi finals of the unva leage and then ash's will lose in the finals and then cilent iris team rocket and any of ash's rivals who are still at the unva leage like bianca will say he tryed his best.

personally i hope iris does catch meowth (well ,preferably ash, cause of the sheer irony). I know it would be the death of one of pokemon's best antagonists, but i feel it would be the birth of a meowth badass which has become a bit of an oxymoron though the pokemon series. Plus i kinda sorta want meowth to evolve just to see how a talking persian would be like xD

They need spaced between the battles so that it wont end too early. And the Don Battle sort of made up for the break after a while, so the less important episodes wouldn't look like it lasts as long as it does.

i agree with pikachu132 i mean if there getting throw the 1st 4 gyms in just the 1st season this is going quick i mean in the other season ash only got 2 or 3 badges in the new regions 1st season but here he is going to get his 4th badge very soon at this rate pokemon black and white will only lasts another 1 or 2 seasons if only iris was a coordinator then they would have to stop at towns with contest and the grand festivel which would exted the season

@theawsomeandrew12 I agree with you on the whole coordinator and contest thing. The reason why Ash is getting badges faster in Best Wishes is because he isn't travelling with a coordinator anymore like he was in the last three regions (Hoenn, Kanto and Sinnoh), so he has more time for gym battles.

The next generation of games won't be out for another two or three years, so they'll have to stretch Best Wishes for a while longer. 20 episodes between two yms isn't that much, and now that we're getting the first four gyms done in the first year, that means they only have 4 more gyms to cover the next 2 or 3 years. Get ready for some large gaps.

we don't have to wait that much longer for ash to have his 4th gym battle as of now best wishes episode 47 has premired in ep 48 ash and the gage help this tranier deal with an army of wild pokemon in ep 49 and 50 they battle team rocket at a subway station in ep 51 ash and the gage meet the 4th gym leader who helps them out and in ep 52 ash finally battles the 4th gym leader who uses ground type pokmon

i think the gap between gyms 3 and 4 is so long because they are maybe tryna debut other pokemon and probably make more episodes than they did in dp and to give more character devolopment bewteeen some ppl and pokemon

I think it makes perfect sense for Cilan to beat Trip. Let's be honest, I think Cilan was caught off guard when Ash beat him. He hasn't lost a match ever sense except the battle with Luke who also caught him off guard. Trip battled Chili so he probably underestimated Cilan and Cilan was able to kick his ass. Remember, Chili is the one of the siblings that gets his ass kicked the most both inside and outside of the series with Cress and Cilan being better than him.

He tied with Paul the first time and then Paul was being an ass the entire time after that with constantly owning Ash because the writer of D/P liked him to the point that he got off scotch free. Another fact. Paul was a complete asshole and he was not the best rival. He was the worse because of his rivalry was one sided with Ash on Ash's part. He always kicked Ash's ass and refused to acknowledge Ash as a trainer and kept criticizing him. They never got along. Remember when Ash lost 6-2 and Paul just walked off after the battle no "Good job" or "Try better next time." He FUCKING walked off without noticing Ash. Plus. he got away with all the shit in that generation.

They weren't on equal terms even at the end. Paul basically annihilated Ash's team and Ash's Infernape ended up winning because Blaze activated. And did Paul every apologize? No. ASH sees him as a friend. Paul DIDN'T. The writer of the D/P basically loved him enough that they had to derail him to the point where he got off scotch free.

And Paul isn't hardcore. Gary was hardcore. And Paul doesn't even have a human heart anyway. Stupid Paul fan. -_- This is why people hate him.

Even if the gaps were big, there was a lot of stuff in between, some of which were better than gym arcs anyway. Like the great rivarly with Paul that had a lot more development than Gary's one. The thing with THIS particular Meowth abandonment that bothers me is that this time meowth SEEMS real sincere this time. As in the Words of a previous Let's Player "The Cake is a LIE!" or "That MEOWTH is a LIE!" lol Oh yeah GameFreak I've been watching the anime since it came out and iris chucking a pokeball at meowth caught me off guard and reminded me that meowth is a pokemon. lol

Meowth is staying with Ash and the group for six episodes. Basically, the last two episodes have the SUBWAY BOSSES and then he doesn't show up with the group according to Bulbapedia since the next two episodes where Elesa shows up!!!

I don't trust Meowth. He didn't want to get captured because he was his own Pokemon.

And the biggest hint is when Meowth said leave it to me in the flashback, they were talking behind the PKMN episode and when he said leave it to me, it was in the ferris wheel.
