  • I can't tell if you are really strong or really well balanced or both, I tend to do those forward with a front caster flip up and roll up while leaning forward, but backward has always been a problem. I think I will try your way and see how it works (oh, I hope I don't hit my head!)

  • @mpshiel :-) Its a matter of practice, not so much strenght.

    The way to achieve this movement is with a small square tube 1" in the floor, forward and backward balanced in two wheels.

    then change to 2 and 3 inches square tube. In the begining someone has to take care of you just in case you fell. I suggest also that you learn how to fell backward without hurting your head.

    practice falling with a matress and fell taking care of your head and never release your handrims.

  • @mpshiel We are promoting a training course for disabled people for independent living. And these exercises are possible for men or women with enough practice :-)

    Some exercises look dangerous but with assistance and being careful they are not. And you can achieve notoriously great control of the chair.
