All our senses provoke memories of the past--a sound not heard for years, a great smell of food, or flowers, even wood smoke/ dry grass burning ( my favourite) and suddenly your back there---Immediately I heard those openning bars, I was back in my 20's watching the opening credits to this very popular long running TV series--on a small black & white set---the opening credits with the little 30's car travelling along the narrow lanes and up the hill towards us--great !
