correct me if i'm wrong, i just found out abt beatmania about an hour ago n googled a bit. i just wanted to be sure. all the music in beatmania are made specifically FOR the game right? i've been reading comments on BM vids to try and find out more, but the lingo is completely alien to me. i'm mainly interested cuz the songs are all orgasmic! so can anyone tell me what genre of music is in BM? oh don't forget abt the 1st question too.

for the most part, beatmania mostly have electronic/trance-ish selection of music for their games with a selection of other genres ehre adn there.

to your first question, there might be crossovers here and there, but most of them are originals for konami's games including beatmania

I don't know...this one goes from 126 to 251, which is pretty much double time. Mei goes from 100 to 200, which isn't no whereas fast as 251 bpm.

bpm doesn't matter when you consider how much more amazingly complex Mei's speedup is, really. Icarus might look harder but it's not that hard to just mash the drumroll and get mostly goods.

If you good enough to keep your gauge red line up to that part even chances are you have fast enough fingers to get through it.

Unlike mei, this speedup has no jacks or scratches (well it has scratches but not at the 200+ part).
