If you have Clear and this type of things is happening to you, file a complaint with the FCC and BBB, and if you want go to *pingtest. net* to test your ping, copy and paste the result in the complaint. And if you are going to change companies and don't want to pay the fee, use the complaint as an argument, and be sure to put that in the complaint as well. This kinds of things keep happening because consumers do not fight back.
After dealing with Hughes Net for a couple of weeks I went back to Clearwire and the sad thing is that it is a major upgrade in comparison to Hughesnet. Nothing to write home about but I couldn't even watch videos on Netflix or get on the PSN store with satellite. When it's good it's decent but when Clear sucks it's god awful and it's a damn shame it's essentially my only option for "high speed" internet right now.

Simple as that as you get a free trial period and get a full money return. Our customers love us beyond that.

Im going to be honest with everyone here, I had clearwire for 6 months and never had a single fucking 1 mb/s speed. Everytime i called they would put me on hold , and when i did talk to them they would run these stupid annoying tests that never never help your speeds or they just hang up on you. I used to work at Clear wire when they required you to know something about computers. I got fired for being too mean to the new hires. I worked in voip and the two questions that were cruel to new hires, "What lights are showing on the device ?" and "have you tried plugging phone into other connection?" They made up a story that I haven't been taking transfers and fired me. You know they get a tax credit for each person they hire but there is no corresponding loss for firing?

@mucuchnatasoon I dont understand how clear fucking measures the download rate! i always do a speed test and average I get about 1.5 mb download!! the least I ever get a fucking 0.7 mb/s. and the most is about 10 mb/s (it happens like at night around 3 to 5 am) I suppose 300 kb/s is about 3 mb/s because that the max download speed I get whey I download a movie o a game! at least 300 kb/s is better than my fucking 65 kb/s that I get sometimes and take ages to watch a you tube video!
@fernasobri1920 I live in Atlanta, which is a "best coverage" zone on Clear's coverage map.
But the speed is so inconsistent. Sometimes (on rare occasions) I get a 6 mbps connection, and an hour later it's back to below 1 mbps. Sometimes the speed is so slow that pages can't load at all.
@XtremeHawkZ tell them you wont pay for slow internet anymore . And they will give you credit, they did this to me, I was paying for a 6mb/s speed and always had a 0.43 mb/s speed. They gave me 4 months free because they couldnt do anything about it, All i can say to you is i hope you didnt sign a 2 year contract with them., Or you will be suffering for those 2 whole years, IF they tell you work is being done on your tower it is a lie, The problem is they put too many people on a single tower

I had a similar experience with ClearRipoff. My speed was quite good initially, but slowly decreased over time until now, where it is a fraction of it's original speed. The so-called upgrade to 4-G network made no difference, and neither did buying a new computer.

Im going to be honest with everyone here, I had clearwire for 6 months and never had a single fucking 1 mb/s speed. Everytime i called they would put me on hold , and when i did talk to them they would run these stupid annoying tests that never never help your speeds or they just hang up on you. Yes they actually hang up on you* I was paying $46 a month for this embarrising internet from clear. Untill 3 months ago i got fed up with it and decided to crack WEP keys, now im on free ..continues...

I used to work at Clear wire when they required you to know something about computers. I got fired for being too mean to the new hires. I worked in voip and the two questions that were cruel to new hires, "What lights are showing on the device ?" and "have you tried plugging phone into other connection?" They made up a story that I haven't been taking transfers and fired me. You know they get a tax credit for each person they hire but there is no corresponding loss for firing?

nah! costumer service is not that bad! the fucking service sucks because i get stupid stupid slow internet connections all the fucking time! and their help support always say the same stupid fucking thing! the company slows you down to compensate the usage, (my fucking usage and it suppose to be unlimited) our account. I fucking average a 1.5 GB download watching videos and playing fucking games online. so if i get over 30 GB in a month my speed is o.57 mb/s screw you clear!! grrrr!

@dglenn247 The worst part of Clearwire for me, I had their phone service. So when the net went out, as it did several times a day for hours at a time, i was without a phone to call and request help. Then i would call them after my service came back. They would tell me they are resetting my box. next thing i know, no service, no phone, now no clearwire! TW Road Runner for me!

I agree with you, I worked for Clear doing webchat. They are going over seas, because they are going bankrupt and need to save money. They fired and laid off I say over 100 employees. If i had Clear services i would cancel that shit.

My Clear is 4G Plus+
So when ever my speed is slow on 4G, I go to admin setting and switch to (Preferred) 3G and click on save setting than exit.
And I get 2mbs on that. Problem solved. You guys are so dumb.

@mucuchnatasoon I dont understand how clear fucking measures the download rate! i always do a speed test and average I get about 1.5 mb download!! the least I ever get a fucking 0.7 mb/s. and the most is about 10 mb/s (it happens like at night around 3 to 5 am) I suppose 300 kb/s is about 3 mb/s because that the max download speed I get whey I download a movie o a game! at least 300 kb/s is better than my fucking 65 kb/s that I get sometimes and take ages to watch a you tube video!

@fernasobri1920 I live in Atlanta, which is a "best coverage" zone on Clear's coverage map.
But the speed is so inconsistent. Sometimes (on rare occasions) I get a 6 mbps connection, and an hour later it's back to below 1 mbps. Sometimes the speed is so slow that pages can't load at all.
It's so annoying, especially when I play COD.

@XtremeHawkZ tell them you wont pay for slow internet anymore . And they will give you credit, they did this to me, I was paying for a 6mb/s speed and always had a 0.43 mb/s speed. They gave me 4 months free because they couldnt do anything about it, All i can say to you is i hope you didnt sign a 2 year contract with them., Or you will be suffering for those 2 whole years, IF they tell you work is being done on your tower it is a lie, The problem is they put too many people on a single tower

I know like 2 people who have Clear here near Chicago. I've used it and it seems to work just fine. I'm still looking at either AT&T or Clear as far as Internet. Comcast is out of the question since they suck ass around here... :/

@zogdilla1 i have 5 bars and pay for 6 mbps . first month it was 5 to six. as it should be the antenna is the field next to me. then 4 months later .28 speed and all i have done is back up my hd to norton. i dont think that is heavy traffic to be capping my speed. clear wire can kiss my butt

I had a similar experience with ClearRipoff. My speed was quite good initially, but slowly decreased over time until now, where it is a fraction of it's original speed. The so-called upgrade to 4-G network made no difference, and neither did buying a new computer.

U think thats bad? try having timewarner cable in a small town in ohio, their internet service fucking sucks!! they always say " the cable and internet service will not cause the phone to go down if the cable or internet gos down" Bullshit! if one gos down, the rest gos down, which is usualy about once a week. we've had them come and switch the cable box and internet box thing more times than i can count. when one gos down i have to use my cell phone to call them.
