  • can you post a 10 minute video on how to tie shoe laces

  • OMFG. You take 2:30 minutes to finally say: "water". Just f*cking say it in the beginning and that's that!

  • Ya' know?

  • Finally someone who knows how to clean a display and knows that the display shall NOT EVER be touched. Tell this to girls...They are the worst dummies. My displays have never been touched, I mean, EVER, including Plasmas, laptops a,d desktop displays. I also like you use the water technique with a light and all. I would just drop the cloth. One little dust trapped there can leave you a nasty scratch across your monitor. I only use COTTON balls from a sealed kept bag and hot breath 1" from LCD.

  • didn't you just touch it like 10 times?

  • It just smeared the fingerprints all over the screen when I did that. Any more tips?

  • You know...

  • I can't believe I spent $20 on a cleaning product to clean my Macbook. I'm gonna return the product and start using this method. Thanks for the posting!!

  • So after you clean with a damp microfiber, do you just dry it by wiping it with a dry microfiber cloth??? or do you just let it air dry???

  • will this cleaning method work for the new mac book pro 15"???

  • I personally would never apply a chemical since it is unnecessary. A microfiber cloth dampened with water has worked just fine for my MBP for the years. This is a classic case of people being dependent on a product.

  • Dude, Seriously... Forgive me but uh.... GET TO THE F***ING POINT... Oh my god....

  • Cleaning Your MacBook Pro Display

Follow these general rules when cleaning the screen. * Shut down your MacBook Pro, detach the power adapter, and remove the battery. * Dampen a clean, soft, lint-free cloth or paper with water only and wipe the screen. Do not spray liquid directly on the screen. so u win

  • You know. You know. You know. Ok? Ok? Ok? Alright? Alright? Alright? Dude!!! I was really going to scream! :((

  • Good tips. We should look after our Macs. My 2 year old MBP looks new. It´s wise to avoid touching it with dirty fingers, peel orange(hehe) next to it and also be careful with the trackpad. It´s really difficult to clean after it´s greasy.

Well, Windows lovers should do the same, anyways. take care u all.

  • just got new MBP

and ive already spill many things on it

    ups

    :p

    i feel terrible...then i searchin this video

    :)

    thx

  • A big thank you goes out to those people slaving away in China so we don't have to pay $8 for a microfiber.

  • that makes no sense.... oil is insoluble with water so generally your just smearing the oil from your hands/fingers all throughout the screen...

  • thank you and it works :) any tips for cleaning mac book pro keyboards ?

  • Its funny knew he said that you should lose your finger...look at his finger lol i think he touched his friends screen and he learn his lesson lol

  • haha good one

-is the apple cloth that comes with it good for anything?

  • Good job sherlock, now the oil from your hand separated to the top of the water droplets and you sprinkled that on your screen.

  • Nearly five minutes to explain water drops and a microfiber cloth?

  • why did you comlicate screen cleaning this much... i mean - drops out of your hand?? come on.... 2 cloths - one wet ane dry... or one side wet, one side dry and thats it!

i disagree with the water thig...why cant you use Windex? but dont sprey directly to the screen, but sprey it on the cloth....

    That is my oppinion

  • that could be written in one short sentence. why a 4:40 video?

  • Is it okay to use the iKlear for the MBP matte display?

  • I had no problems using iKlear for my old iBook G4's display so I'm guessing it should be all good on a matte MBP display as well.

  • Well, then I have a big big problem... I don't have hands...

  • man i wish i saw ur video before i used the iklear... at first it made the screen look super clean and shiny... I woke up this morning and it has all these smudgey coat.. whats the best way to clean that smudge? water?\

    thanx

  • i use baby wipes and it works great. i wonder if it's good for the screen? my macbook was off when i did this. can anyone answer that question?

  • you know, its like you know, really really cool, dude, you know, like really nice, ok? you know...

  • How about cleaning a iMac Aluminum's screen since its glass. It sucks so bad because its all smudged and GAH ITS ANNOYING plz help lol

  • u should just take the plate glass off

    thats what i do

  • i don't have water, can i use mayonaise?

  • that should work

  • then you can lick it clean!

  • can i use this for my matte display too??

  • Our entire school uses MacBooks and every once in a while I see someone use dry erase board cleaner... this doesnt seem intelligent to me. can you confirm that?

  • arent HDTV's glossy?

  • Not all of them. The 32" and 23" LCD HD Monitors in the house are both matte finished.

  • nice vid
