British Paras: Air Assault By Parachutes & Helicopters

At 1:08 I saw a man with a Beret that looks like the ones the U.S Military uses, but I think I can identify a knife and wings (I'm guessing he was S.A.S). Could someone tell me why he was marching with Paras if he was S.A.S?

i dont know weather to join the royal marines commandos or the paras as an officer

ive always had my mind set on the marines but i do like the idea of jumping out of planes

i know you do parachuting in the marines once or twice but i also am very keen on the SAS after a few years

SBS looks good but im not the best swimmer and i prefer the SAS

anyone give me some tips it would be well appreciated.

@miniman631 join the marines if u wanna join the SBS, join the Paras if u wanna join the SAS cause alot of the SAS is made up of paras! Im joining the paras, then after three or so years do selection for 22nd SAS. Even if u hav the strength and stamina to pass P company that is no indicater what so ever that u will hav any chance of getting through SAS selection, honestly build up ur running, upper body strength well past Para requirements cause SAS staff will ask ur commanding officers on u

@miniman631 no, if you want to go to the S.A.S do para and then royal commando training. then at home train for a year. then go for the SAS, if you join the paras go for the 1st para, they work with the special forces unit

@miniman631 SAS. You can apply for it WHATEVER YOU DO IN THE MILITARY for example an RAF chef could apply. Marines would naturally join the SBS, but you can join the SAS as easily as any Para if your a marine. That said, the Paras wouldn't give you any shit about bieng SAS rather than SBS, the Marines would :L

@ukGhostuk yes you can. they don't just randomly pick people and give them parachute training, the soldiers have to want to do it therefore they apply for it. After that its a pass or fail course and they either get sent home or get the maroon beret.
