Bandit upgrade shocks front and rear, E-Maxx alum' shock caps and rear springs, steel output yokes, Pro-Line stadium truck body, plus high-end Hacker brushless system, and more. I had the Stampede but hated it, so its natural evolution was toward something I'd love to run. Nothing wrong with that, eh.
Also, the Rustler has an ugly pan chassis, the Stampede chassis is lighter and has more ground clearance in the center, but a higher center of gravity (which isn't usually a good thing). Dropping it super-low helps. I'm not a fan of Rustlers, personally, but they are good bashers for early RC'ers for their durable yet cheap replacement parts. I wouldn't waste a ton of time and money "hopping up" a Rusty.
The only difference between the Rusty and the Pede is the chassis, lol, you can Jangify the Rusty's chassis so it's lighter than the Pede's. The only difference between the Rusty and the Bandit, is the front shock tower.
you talking about the xbr sport 8.5. If you are it is the best system ive used yet. it only goes like 37+MPH but the motor lasts forever.and it is fast as a lightning bolt. Ive got like 250+ runs on a 4200 battery and the motor still runs like new. Never overheats.
hi i like its low to the ground i have a brussless with associated ball bearings for slipper pegs 16 of them in an hpi gear mine is razed for the off road obstcales ilike to attack
They're spaced carefully, using high-quality pinion gear, double the slipper pegs, and well-adjusted slipper-clutch. But... it'll still get damage periodically. Goes with the territory. Thanks for your comment.
If you're serious about speed and power, and have some money to burn, then yes. Brushless is more powerful and much more efficient than traditional brushed systems. Check with your track rules, if you race, to be sure it's legal for your circuit. Many have not legalized brushless for competition.
racer??? u dont race pedes

It's as low as a Ruslter, it has a Rustler body, nice Stampede, but you could have just bought a Ruslter.

Yep. Started out life as an ugly Stampede. Check out RCnuts (dawt com) for pic's of the transformation. Cheers!

lol impressive, but hey isn't the sand and pebbles going to wreck your gearing for the motor?
DaJoDJ 5 years ago
There's a cover that protects the gears from debris.
